Images in lightroom look VERY DARK in library?! Please help...
I have been using Lightroom for a while now and have had no problems. I have recently opened lightroom and all the images in the library are now extremely dark and contrasty (i have not made any changes).
When I open the RAW files in PS or Bridge etc they look fine, and when I export the images from lightroom as JPG's they are fine, it seems like it just the way the images are displayed in Lightroom.
What am I doing wrong/how do I fix this problem??

Thanks for your response. This is occuring in all views, be it grid, loupe, library or develop. It is across the entirity of lightroom, it almost seems like the colourspace has been changed. I'm new to this forum but im going to attach a few images so you can see what im talking about more clearly (i have done screen caps, one full screen and one zoomed in for both lightroom and explorer)

All photos displayed in Lightroom are very dark
This has just started in the last few days. Now all my imports into Lightroom 1.4.1 appear very dark compared to shots on camera display or same photo displayed outside Lightroom. This applies to dng, raw, or jpeg. Old libraries now all appear dark. If you adjust in Lightroom to look right they appear washed out in every image viewer outside Lightroom. Import a jpeg that was previously exported from Lightroom and looked fine now looks very dark when imported back into Lightroom. I have reinstalled program and tried every setting I could think of and all photos still look very dark.
Hope this fixes it. Deleting the default profile will make windows (and therefore Lightroom) assume your display is exactly sRGB. This is a good first approximation, but to get correct color you need to actually calibrate. Note that after calibration, Lightroom and unmanaged apps will not exactly correspond to each other, but they should be close. Most importantly, the contrast should be the same as long as you calibrate to the standard gamma of 2.2. You should see tiny differences in color saturation and in shadow colors - this is normal.

Hi, I'd like to put a black and white effect on my colour footage which will look really sharp but which also looks bright so the whites look bright and the blacks look very dark . Any tips of which best effects to use to achieve this look in Prem Pro. Thanks
Under the Effects-Lumetri Looks-Desaturation choose a B and W effect. Then add the luma corrector from the Video effects-colour correction section. Adjust the brightness and contrast to get the effect you want.

My music on my iphone 5 is messed up. The pictures for the song album are on the wrong songs like the cover for drop it like its hot is on the cover for dark horse! Please help!!!

What I suggest is that you move your music from your old laptop to your new one by following the steps below:

After that, you can then add iTunes match on your computer, or turn off iTunes Match on your iPhone, and then sync your iPhone as you would normally with your new computer.

I just updated to the newest version of ITunes well, not just but a few days ago. Anyway I have windows 8, and in ITunes my Ipod 5th gen will not show up. I have tried somethings such as unpluging repluging, going to services and restarting, basiclly everything on yoyutube, none still work. It's ***** to cause I just wanted to put music on my Ipod, if anyone has an idea of what to do please give some suggestions.

Whenever I connect my 4th generation iPod thouch, all of the playlists on my iPod get deleted. This is very frustrating. Someone please help me? I searched the settings on iTunes and couldn't find anything.
Also, when I go on to safari, another alert pops up that safari cannot verify the identity of the website, anything that I type in to as common as google.com. It gives me 3 options to either cancel, look at details, and continue. I've looked at the details of the website of Google and it is legitimate the site. Any help?

I take it you tried using the "right click" menu? That doesn't seem to work, as you noted, but, you should be able to paste text by pressing your CTRL key and while holding it down, press the "V" letter key.
CTRL + C = COPY
CTRL + X = CUT
CTRL + V = PASTE

you have to use ZCI form to use DDLB in WD-ABA. The content of the DDLB has to be present at rendering time, there is no dinamic call when you click the "dropdown".
The attribut you map to the DDLB has to be an element with a value-set, and the value set has to contain the text / value pairs.

I upgraded to mountain lion a week ago and now on startup of my macbook pro, microsoft excel and word start up automatically and then crash? very strange can anyone please help? I have checked the login items under users and groups and there is nothing.
Are you using the Office for Mac 2011 version, as you need to do? The Office for Mac 2004 is Not at all compatible with Mountain Lion, and the 2008 version has been noted to have some problems running with ML.

i just uploaded the new os7 software. i like it. however my podcasts seem to be hidden and for the life of me, i can't find them. i was looking in the music icon. please help me feel less stupid:)
Got to settings/general/spotlight search and tick podcasts. Then when on the home screen if you swipe down from the middle of the screen the spotlight search window appears and you can search for podcasts

Playing Elements 5.0 slideshow on TV -pics look very dark
Help! I'm almost finished with a slideshow of my daughter's first year. I've spent about 30 hours on it only to play the DVD on TV and find that many of the pictures look super dark. I'm confused because the photos looked perfect on my computer screen. Am I an idiot? Is there an easy solution? Any advise would be greatly appreciated as I am running out of time.
I'm using Elements 5.0 and Premiere 3.0.

1 - Can you try to play this DVD on a different TV?
It may help to know if this happens with multiple TVs.
What type of monitor is your TV - CRT, LCD, Plasma? What type of monitor do you have on your PC or laptop where you made the slideshow?
2 - Check the User's Guide for your TV DVD player and see if it will play JPEG files from a CD. If it will play JPEGS, write a few of the photo files which seemed the darkest during the slideshow, to a CD. Write just the photo file in JPEG format, no extras like music or pans and zooms. Then try to play that CD in your TV DVD player. Are the photos dark? -
LIghtroom And Contact Sheets...PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!
Hello, I am in dire need of help (deadlines! ahhhhh!).
So we have been using lightroom for a couple of months now.
I work as an assistant at a professional studio which does weddings and some private family jobs.
We work on power macs which both have enough power to plan a trip to the moon.
We print on a Canon IPF 5100 and a 5000. Matte Epson 3* paper.
Each wedding is generally 5-7 Sets with 400-600 .NEF images each.
So heres the problem. Contact Sheet Resolution!
We never really had too much trouble with contact sheets, and only recently has it been noticed. Our images are printing so blurry it is hard to tell if eyes are open ect.
We had been printing on draft mode until now. I understand draft mode doesn't produce a fine image, but it seems they were never this bad.
So I tried turning draft mode off. It took hours to process every image (render it down/quality) and then it just wouldn't send it to the printer (at this point I want to throw a brick through my screen).
So my options with LR at this point are complete crap and a few wasted hours with no result.
I have gone back to CS3...A program which makes LR look like MS Paint...
The only problem is this is pretty time consuming and not very flexible.
So Please For all the is worthy on this earth...How can I use LR in a productive way???
How do you Print C.S's?

When making contact sheets (3 across and 3 down) I notice that the quality of the outputted PDF file is terrible (I never recall it being this bad with LR1.4; in fact, I recall being able to zoom into the contact sheet quite far and still see decent resulotion). I have fiddled with the Print settings, tried printing in both draft and otherwise (which can take forever). I have tried re-importing the files and rendering both standard previews and 1:1 previews, but nothing seems to have corrected the problem I am having.
A few interesting points:
- Using the same photos and contact sheet configuration, the actual size of a contact sheet created in LR1.4 vs. LR2 is different (the LR1.4 contact sheet was actually a larger file). This would explain why I recall better resolution from the LR1.4 sheets I used to create.
- In LR2, I notice that the portrait photos on contact sheets are lower quality than the landscape photos. I understand that they are actually larger on the sheet (so it might make sense at first look), but even when zoomed into, the landscape photos retain higher quality longer. I don't recall this happening with LR1.4.
Am I doing something wrong with the creation of my contact sheets or is there a setting that I am missing? Any input would be appreciated.

Thank you very much for your time and help. : )I also have Jolly's problem. I found the iMovie 9.0.9 folder and tried to launch the older version of iMove. It would not launch. I removed all of the iMovie preferences from the Preferences folder, removed iMove 10 from the applications folder, and restarted my Mac. iMove 9.0.9 still won't launch and I can't access my videos created with the older version of iMovie. Is there a way to uninstall iMovie 10 and reinstall iMovie 9.0.9?
