Images Loaded into Movieclip via XML and Hyperlinked

I am loading a set of images into masked movie clips via an
XML file, and then attemting to hyperlink the Movieclip with a URL
obtained from the XML.
The problem I am having is that the 1st, 3rd, 5th and 7th
clips are not behaving as if they have a hyperlink attached to them
the others are fine.
I'm sure I'm missing something really obvious here, but for
the life of me I can't see it... someone put me out of my misey
please, code is attached, let me know if you want all the files and
I will email them over.

so that seems fine.
One point I should make is I tried renaming the movie clips
to see what would happen, so originally mask number one was
hyperlinked to Yahoo and was named 'm0', this link does not work.
Then I renamed mask number 2 as 'm0' and made mask number 1 'm1'.
Even though masks 1 and 2 had effectively swapped position on the
stage, still only links 2,4,6, and 8 work. What I mean is positions
2,4,6 and 8 on screen, not how they are named.
Not sure I've explained myself that clearly there!
Still this is the last thing I need to resolve before I can
move on, so any ideas?

Decimals cut off loading into Essbase via DIM

Have you ever run into the issue of small numbers (9 decimals) getting cut off/rounded when loading into Essbase via DIM? When I try to load rates into my Essbase app via DIM they get cut off at 6 decimals even the though the entire rate is 9. For instance, the rate 0.752615338 coming out of the source gets stored in the target as 0.752615. Also, if a load a text file with the 9 digit rate into my target app via DIM it STILL gets cut off. Therefore, I've isolated the issue to the loading of data into the target. I cannot modify the precision, however, for my target. Any thoughts?

Premiere Elements 13 on Windows 8.1 (assumed 64 bit).
First..
1. Have you updated from 13 to the 13.1 Update using an opened project's Help Menu/Update. If not, please do so.
2. Do the problems exist if you disable the antivirus and firewall(s)?
3. Are you running the program as Administrator? Do you have the latest version of QuickTime installed on your computer?
4. Have you refreshed the Online Services using Premiere Elements Editor Edit Menu/Preferences/Web Sharing?
5. Have you updated the Adobe Application Manager?

6.Is your video card/graphics card driver version up to date according to the web site of the manufacturer of the card?
7. Lots more we could go through such as deleting the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file and, if necessary, the whole

But, I think that you have enough things going on here to warrant an uninstall, free ccleaner run through (regular cleaner and registry cleaner parts) and then reinstall with the antivirus and firewall(s) disabled.

Loading scripts - what's the difference between loading into edge via script window and including a script in the html document?

I have a html page that loading in two edge compositions and an external custom javascript file. The javacsript file includes the bootstrapCallback so I can store references to the loaded compositions and can communicate with them. This seems to work well. The problem have is when I also try and load in a custom plugin javascript files into the edge compositions via the script window inside edge - I don't understand how this works, for example if I load in a custom javascript file into one of the compositions can only that composition use it's funcitionality? Is loading in scripts via edge script window the same as including in html document, I'm confused how the two relate, please help me understand.

Problems with Long Interactive PDFs with Extensive Interactivity via Buttons and Hyperlinks

I have inherited a project which requires the creation of large interactive pdfs with lots of buttons and hyperlinks. I am having continuing problems with buttons not working and long periods of wasted time as attempted exports fail.
Background:
The largest books range from 264 MB to 411 MB – (764 to 1024 pages). Per book, the maximum number of buttons on each page is 16, linking separate files (subsections) in the book via text anchors. The buttons are created using Master Pages which are set for each file (subsection) in the book. 50% to 60% of the pages in each file (subsection) will also be referenced as 2 hyperlinks. One is the source page hyperlink on each workflow and the second is a listing on the source page as a possible navigation path. I have created hyperlink destinations for each page which is used to generate the source and navigation hyperlinks. With 2 hyperlinks representing 50%-60% of the pages - that means the largest book contains a maximum of 1200 hyperlinks. Each file (subsection) also has it’s own separate TOC and the bookmarks that are created (optionally) during the TOC creation process.   As currenlty formatted, the book is primarily images of workflows which mean 50%-60% of the pages contain pdf images.
Several questions:
1. How do I get my buttons to work consistently? There is nothing worse than working hard and then ending up with faulty product. I have been thinking about combining all the files into 1 document per book. Then I could change the buttons to objects, add a hyperlink over each one and set them for a specific hyperlink destination. Can I do that if the buttons are on Master Pages? Can InDesign handle a document with 1024 pages?    I can't fix the problems in Acrobat later because it would mean 1024 fixes for just 1 button correction.
2. How do I stop InDesign from freezing when exporting these large pdfs? It seems to wait until the final steps to crash which sometimes means a 4-6 hour waste of time per export.
3. Are we making a mistake using pdfs as our workflow images? I'm not pleased with the quality of the images we have and wonder if we switched to another image format if this would improve the results.   Would it be worth the effort and relinking? I have been reading different information on what the preferred source image format is for InDesign. One article I found yesterday says using pdf images is a problem. Another site said the Photoshop, TIF and JPG are preferred but PDFs were also acceptable.
4. Do I need to propose scrapping InDesign as the source of the project? If so, what application can better meet my needs?

Those are the limitations you have to put up with.
Apple doesn't follow the PDF spec. It chooses which PDF features it will support.
As to the version number (v5 or v6 or the new multimedia features in v9), there is different support in different versions of Reader/Acrobat as the product has developed. You just need to post a message to downloaders that they need to view the file in Adobe Reader version X or above to get the best experience.
Other industry standards face the same problem: How can you add new feature like multimedia? You can't always be backwards compatible.

How do I get music loaded into itunes via CD synced into ipad?

sync seems to only want to load music onto the ipad that was purchased within itunes. I have a lot of old CDs have loaded into itunes on my macbook pro that have been synced to my ipod, why won't they also sync to the ipad?

after another trip to the Apple store (just glad there's one close) found out you must configure sync settings for each device attached to your iTunes library. So made the ipad the current device, clicked on Music (on the horizontal menu bar that begins with Summary), selected the desired sync options, synced and now have all my albums on the ipad. only they aren't showing as albums but each individual "song" (even for a symphony)

Filemaker database into illustrator via XML possible?

Hi Everyone,
I'm new here and also new to XML, i have been trying to look into ways of getting a filemaker information automatically into illustrator through XML. I've searched all over the net for any information on this, but found nothing. I was wondering if you guys knew anything about it or maybe where to start/look.
The problem is filemaker saves the xml file in way that illustrator doesn't understand and i don't know how to convert the file for illustrator to accept it.

We moved the repository to Oracle RAC recently. The syntax to switch to the new databasecluster was something like this:
lh setRepo -tOracle -ujdbc:oracle:thin:@//dbcluster1.domain:1521/service_idm.oradb.domain -Uwaveset -Pwachtwoord
For the 'lh setRepo' command the old database had to be up, and we had to use the old ojdb5.jar. After that we switched to ojdb6.jar.
One of our resources is a database table with HR data in the same database. The following Database Access Parameters work for us:

Height and width of image loaded into blob?

i am loading images into my database which is all working fine. in parts of my app i am displaying these images so i am wondering is there a way to get the dimensions (height an width) of the image you are loading in so that when it comes time to display you can scale as needed but the aspect ratio is the same so then the image is not distorted by just putting some random values for height and width.
 
eg
instead of

i want to replace 100 with values from columns in table that were loaded at time of save

thanks scott. is it correct to say that this example is storing the image at whatever size the user puts in the width and height boxes on screen? thats what it looks like to me anyway. i see there are functions to get these but does the user have to enter them still? it will be just what i need if indeed I do need it!
Yes, that's correct. Of course you could modify the code so that you choose the size of the image, and not allow the user to change it.

EXCEL Web Query - load into SAP via Web dynpro or standard ABAP

Hi everybody
I was wondering if you can run an EXCEL WEB Query from abap and then upload the data retrieved from the web into SAP using either a web dynpro application or standard SAP.
For standard ABAP one could probably run the EXCEL web query by executing some code such as
call method cl_gui_frontend_services=>execute
exporting
document = 'your excel web query file'.
You could then save the data and using GUI_UPLOAD get it into sap.
I'd really like to do it via a web dynpro application.
Any ideas anyone.
For guys who've never used EXCEL web queries --quite easy.
Open EXCEL
go to Import External Data
Choose New web query
Enter URL of where you want to retrieve your data from such as YAHOO finance etc.
For example to get the components of the Dow Jones Composite Index (^DJA) use this url
http://finance.yahoo.com/q/cp?s=%5EDJA
click the yellow arrow on the table data you want to import. The arrow will turn Green and press IMPORT
Then enter the cell number where you want to start importing data
Hey presto you've got your data from the web.

when you create a new webquery, in the properties, you can set when the page should refresh (data fetch to happen), you can set that to refresh at file open.
then you can use either OLE or gui_upload to upload the excel to read the data.
have couple of question:
why do you want to choose excel webquery ?=> is it because the ability to get unstructured data from the web?
what sort of data you are trying to read from the web?=> most of data centric sites (forex, stock quotes) will have either RSS feeds or some web APIs to get data which can be easily consumed by ABAP

Loading 2 galleries via XML

Hi,
I have two buttons on stage, to load pictures from gallery 1
(gotoAndPlay ("slider1")) and gallery 2 (gotoAndPlay ("slider2"))
respectively. I changed the variable in [quote] _root.xmlfile
[/quote] in the second set (slider2)
mybtn1 loads gallery1 without any problem
mybtn2 loads only one picture from gallery2, nor the text is
loaded.

So what I'm thinking of doing is through the main draw for swf another swf xml attribute.
This loaded swf will be introduced within an attachMovie.

CS3 Cropped Ai file won't drop into Id via Br and remain cropped

Using CS3 with Mac OS 10.5. Created a large Ai file and defined and saved several cropped areas to use in Id. Saves fine and shows in Br as cropped but when dropped onto the Id page crop is lost. Any ideas? BTW if dropped into a Word file it stays cropped.... strange that it would work well with a MS program but not the Adobe one ;~). Also tried to just use pathfinder crop tool to create cropped Ai files instead and it wouldn't work well, indiscriminately cropped some things and not others. Any help appreciated.

SWF audio loaded via XML

Hi, I am currently having trouble with my swf file inserted in adobe presenter 9. I'm trying to load the sound via XML and it plays on the first frame when it's completed. Now, the sound of SWF is heard on other slides after the SWF slide. It looks like it will going to load again the swf file even when I am not in the swf slide. Anyone could help me with this issue? When i use the contentLoaderInfo listener, you are right, i
can discern the width of the loader. but when i do this it only
works for the last item loaded. here is my problem -- i am trying
to load graphics dynamically, and have each graphic go to it's
proper "place" on a simulated shelf -- so the foirst object might
go to (0,0), then next object should go directly to the right of
the first object, etc, etc. and i am loading all this dynamically
from an xml file. if i just specify a distance, then i can get
everything to load at uniform distances from each other. problem is
each of the graphics has a unique width, height, etc, so i need to
be able to "catch and capture" this info as each one is loaded.
when i wait until the entire loader has loaded, the only
peopoerties left for me to capture and use are the propoerties of
the last itm loaded.
any ideas on how to do this -- anyone?

Hypertext link from image loaded via xml

I thought this would be easy but for some reason it's not
working.
What I want to accomplish:
Make an image loaded into my textArea via XML a link. I
thought I could do something like this:

Thanks for your reply. Turns out it is a bug with the Flash 7
player. The code works fine in the Flash 8 and 9 player. I guess
this was a reminder that I should look for the simple things first.

Batch load images (tiff) into table with a BLOB column

Hi,
Does anyone know any third-party tool/software to bulk/batch load images into Oracle table? There is an ETL software to regularly pull the images (tiff) from a ftp server to a directory in the database server. There is no way I can hardcode the image filenames into the control file and use SQL*Loader to load the files. Is there any tool/software that can just grab whatever files in the directory and load them into Oracle. Then, I can write a program to extract the filename from the file already loaded into the table and update the filename column.

Help! Help! Help! Why is DPV and LACS not loading into memory ?

Postalsoft Desktop Mailer - load into memory is checked and it does not load into memory,
I tried it unchecked and it is the same speed.
How do I fix this problem?????

Please make sure to post any "classic Firstlogic software" questions under the Business Objects Enterprise Information Management (EIM) forum and you will get a much faster response. Also you can log a case for support by going to the Help and Support tab on the SAP website, then click on Report A Product Error to log a case for support. Just make sure to choose BOJ-EIM-COM for the component when logging a case for DeskTop Mailer or Business Edition.
Steve is correct.... we are aware of the slow speed issue with address correction when using DPV and LACS in DeskTop Mailer and Business Edition 7.90. Rev 4 should be out by the end of this week. This will correct the speed issue. Please make sure to have the auto update option turned on in the software so you get this update.
