Images missing, small horizontal blue lines

Two things have happened but I'm not sure if they are related.
I am working on a Pages document where I had inserted several photos. Now the photos are missing and I notice a small blue horizontal line on the left of each blank line and new paragraph.  Can anyone explain this please?
Thank you.  Keith

Of course it is.
Document Outline is exactly what it says.
A view of the document as an outline (no graphics etc).
This view allows you to close and open various levels of the outline and rearrange them.

  • Horizontal Blue Lines

    Hey all,
I have a problem that I tackled a LONG time ago and cant
remember why it is happening or how I fixed it. I used the PSD2FLA
plugin to import my images into Flash. It works marvelously. BUt I
just used it for a file that I am working with, and it was imported
into flash with horizontal blue lines over each of the layers. Like
I said this has happened before, but I cant remember how I overcame
it then... maybe something in my prefs? Any help would be
    appreciated!! Thanks in advance!
    Ken

I have used PSD3FLA before and don't remember what the
watermark is for some reason - but it sounds
like it may be you need to re-activate it? Try PSD2FLA's
website - i remember something like this
happening to me at one time.

Horizontal Blue lines are appearing on my screen whenever the background is white.  Is this something I can fix?

    Hello Eliza,
Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with your display on your MacBook Pro.  I definitely understand your concern with this.
I found an article with steps to troubleshoot issues with displays.  This article is for internal and external displays, so you can skip any steps referring to an external display.  I recommend reviewing the full article, but this step specifically stands out to me:
    Reset the system
You can reset the Mac's parameter RAM and SMC.
You can find the full article here:

  • Blue lines in black areas using external monitor

I am running my 13" MB Pro hooked up to a ViewSonic LED LCD Monitor (VX2250) (DVI link using generic knock off mini-display to DVI adapter).
The problem I'm having is that black areas on the monitor will have fuzzy horizontal blue lines running through them. So if I'm doing graphic design stuff that has black areas, these fuzzy lines will show up. Sometimes they are thin, sometimes they are thick.
If I move the black area around, the lines stay in the same place relative to the black area. They don't stay put relative to the screen (if that makes sense). So I'm fairly sure its not the monitor, as I would imagine they would stay in place within the monitor if the monitor had issues.
Any suggestions? Could the knock-off DVI adapter be the culprit (never had this problem on an older non-LED LCD display using same adapter). Thanks for any suggestions.

    Anyone?

How can I turn off the 2 blue lines running vertically through my image in Photoshop? I want to save my work but do not know if these lines will persist in the saved image.

  • Need to get rid of blue line under image

    Hi,
I've created a table with a row and three columns also I've placed splitted a button into three pieces and placed left portion in 1st column and right portion in last column and I've placed a piece of background image with repeat-x in middle column. I need to link the button used javascript to rollover the button with another three piece of buttons, so I've linked the whole with <a> tag and given "border=0" for <img> tag, now I get a blue bar (seems linked) under the background images that I've used in the middle column, could you please help me to get rid of the blue line.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Nancy,
Thanks for the response. Below is my code. What I exactly need is to link the whlole button instead of only the text "Buy Now". The mean time I dont want to use <img src="" border=0"> for the middle column since the text "Buy Now" should be dynamic and can be changed, so that I've used a background image instead of a <img> tag.

  • Blue Line on imported images

    Hi there
Anyone know why FCPX has added a blue line across imported images and music?  How do I get rid of it?  The line does not display in the viewer though.
    Thanks
    Carl

    Hi Tom
Thank you for the information. I don't recall checking the keyword option. Can this be undone? Also what is the best way to import several photos? Does importing the folder create issues?

  • Removing the blue line around a linked image  in IE

I've got a "bookmark this page" button that I can't get the
blue line off of. I got it out in firefox by giving the image a
style with the color of the background but the success didn't
transfer over to IE. I tried using the hotspot tool and linking it
that way but it didn't work. It just reloaded the page. Any
suggestions? (thanks in advance for not being a jack *** to a
    newbie) Much appreciated.

Adding the border="0" will cause your pages not to validate
    in a strict
    doctype.

I scanned an old image using my Epson NX515 printer, used GIMP to make some minor repairs on the image and printed it out.  I noticed there were a number of evenly spaced thin blue lines across the image, approximately six of them. I opened & printed the image on my PC using PAINT.NET.  No lines appeared. I sent the image to my daughter. She printed it and found no lines. I printed the image using Seahorse on my Mac and the lines still appeared. I used basically the same print settings on Mac and PC.

did so now, only now I'm getting a slightly different error: could not find udevd no such file or directory. I checked both grub.cfg's and my mkinitcpio.conf and there's no listing for udevd ....which I've never heard of, so I assumed it was a typo?
For clarification: udev is in the mkinitcpio.
I'm not sure whether I yet have a good intuition for how you have your machine set up, but I suspect you need to include a cryptdevice flag to the kernel in your grub config. The file isn't found because the kernel doesn't know your root directory needs decrypting first.
My setup is an LVM over LUKS over LVM sandwich. To boot into my system, the grub.cfg contains the line:
    linux /vmlinuz-linux root=/dev/mapper/cryptvg-root cryptdevice=/dev/mapper/vg-crypt:root rootfstype=ext4 pcie_aspm=force acpi_osi=Linux acpi_backlight=vendor i915.i915_enable_rc6=1 i915.i915_enable_fbc=1 i915.lvds_downclock=1 ro
Now, most of those flags don't have anything to do with your problem, but note the cryptdevice. It tells the kernel it's dealing with an encrypted filesystem sitting in a logical volume called crypt on a volume group called vg. The bit after the colon tells the kernel to associate this encrypted filesystem with /dev/mapper/root.
As for how to fix your system, I'm afraid I still feel a bit fuzzy about how your LVM and encrypted layers relate to each other, whether you have LVM over LUKS, or LUKS over LVM, or something else. Was there a particular how-to that you followed?

  • How do I get rid of the horizontal thin line that goes across the top persona image .

There is a 1-pixel wide light horizontal grey line between the navigation toolbar and the bookmarks toolbar. This line goes across the persona background image nomatter what persona I have installed. It is not a monitor or graphic card problem since it only appears in FF. I have a HP Pavilion dv6000 with Windows Vista. I have tried different screen resolutions with no luck.

No idea what you're talking about. i don't see anything like that.

  • Horizontal Blue/White lines

I have read lots about Vertical lines on G5s but little about my newly discovered problem
I have a G5 fully updated 10.5.6- 1.9 GHz 1.5 GB mem. Horizontal Blue/White lines have appeared in columns about 25mm wide, all over the screen.
As I type they seem to go all fuzzy and change to a darker blue - I find this very distracting but so far I am able to use my machine with not too much difficulty, except that the fault doesn't help when I need to use my Photoshop software, inasmuch that the blue/white lines seem to dominate the background of the photos.
    Has anyone got any ideas?

    Same problem, different orientation.
This happens if your inverter cable gets damaged, or your inverter board gets shorted. Take it in for service.

  • Hi, when trimming a project through project manager I get blue lines and the video is missing. I'm using PP CC 2014. Why is this?

I have tried through Project manager to save a "Trimmed Project" but when I open up the trimmed project some video is missing or is the wrong video and on the timeline these missing videos have a diagonal blue line. Any idea on why this is happening would be greatly appreciated.

Is this a Mac?  If so what version of OSX?

  • What are all these light blue lines?

...and how do I get rid of them? I'm working in AICS6. I have a number of paths with images placed inside (called "clipped groups" in the Layers Palette). Running across my entire space are these light blue lines that go on and off with the "clipped group" visibility button in the Layers Palette. They serve no purpose for me and are really annoying as they are cluttering up my drawing area. How do I turn them off, preferably permanently? Thanks in advance.

I hope you can see this. They extend to infinity (or at least AI's version of infinity) in both directions. If they are "smart guides" I don't see what is so smart about them nor what they are guiding. I'm sure I'm missing something useful, but I need to get this project done and right now they are just making a mess of my illustration. Thanks for your help!  MH

  • Blue lines

I just connected my Panasonic PV-GS19 video camera for the first time since upgrading to a MacPro and Leopard. I now get a series on blue lines across the screen during playback both on the video camera and in the imported image on the Mac.
If I unplug the video camera from the firewire cable, it continues to display these in playback until I hit the reset button on the camera.
Anybody have any ideas about this?
    Thanks,
    Norm

    {quote}F Shippey wrote:
    So your attempt to connect the camera to your Mac via Firewire produces blue lines on both the computer monitor and the camera display and the lines remain on the disconnected camera display until you reset the camera. Is this correct?{quote}
That is correct. Let me first say that I have I have done this in the past on a Quicksilver G4 and 10.4 with no problems. But this is the first time I have done it with the MacPro and 10.5.
So, I connected the video camera to the Mac FW port via cable. When I began playback, you could see the images in the background but there were 4 or 5 thick, blue lines going horizontally across the screen both on the video camera screen and the window in iDVD. The blue lines were not there just prior to hooking the video camera up to the computer, as I was rewinding and reviewing the tape. After unplugging the FW cable from the video camera and reviewing the tape in playback mode, the blue lines persisted until I pushed the reset button on the camera (turning the camera off and back on did not resolve it.).
I'm just concerned that I may corrupt the DV tape if I plug it back into the computer and try to download it again. Just wondering if anybody else has experienced anything like this? Google searches didn't seem to turn up any other occurrences of it so it doesn't appear to be a common thing but I just wanted to check before I tried it again cause I don't want to mess up the video on the tape, you know, "Christmas with the 2-year old daughter" stuff.
    Thanks,
    Norm
