Images no longer in LR after last import - Yikes!

I have been using LR for about 6 months now and have a considerable number of images. Today I went to bring up some images in the Library module, but the only images showing are from my most recent import! In the Library panel, under All Images, the number of total images only shows the quantity of that most recent import. Any thoughts about what happened here, and how to get the images back into LR? I am a PC user, running Vista.

Colors become oversatured with green tint after last import

Hi,
I use Lightroom on Windows Vista and after last import from my D300 my images have colors that are oversaturated and have a green tint that makes eyes bleed. Following advice from http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=kb402862&sliceId=2 and upgrading to 1.4.1 didn't solve this problem.
I also noticed this same problem on older images which were fine before so my guess is that this problem is self-inflicted. I would really appreciate any ideas on how this could happen and how to fix it.

Chalk another one up to a bad manufacturer-supplied profile. We have seen these here hundreds of times now. Technically what happens is that Lightroom uses the perceptual profile present in such a profile, while most other color managed software (Photoshop, Safari, etc.) use the relative colorimetric. For some reason, many manufacturer-supplied profiles have corrupt perceptual intent in them. This makes Lightroom (and any other app that uses it) appear weird. Bottom line is that you cannot get good color on any system without calibrating it yourself. Rarely is a manufacturer profile any good, even if the perceptual intent is not broken.

I have been using the apple IPad camera connection kit and my photos can be viewed in the events... But the all imported folder is no longer there and the last import folder is empty. Is there any way to resolve this ang get my all imported folder back?

IPhoto 11 no longer allows sorting by last import

Can someone help me find a plug in or a solution for this? I always sort by last import because I have pictures with lots of different dates that I want to see in my Photos library and this feature of sorting by last import has been removed from iPhoto 11. Besides going back to iPhoto 09, can someone please give me a good solution?

You may be using the wrong program since iPhoto is a very basic (and inexpensive) program designed for home use with point and shoot cameras
After each import you can select the "last Import" photos and adjust the time and date to correct for camera settings or use the change time and date command to set their date to the import date
You also can assign keywords
Be default events are in date order (if not use the view menu ==> sort events to put them in the order you want)
You also can use smart albums to find all photos from a specific camera (of by many other criteria)

ITunes no longer turns on after last update.

After the last iTunes update, I press the icon but the program will not start. I can also find a media file such as an audiobook and again iTunes will not start. I have not found an error message or notification.
I have a Macbook Air with the latest version of iOS, Yosemite however iTunes stopped working a few days before the Yosemite OS update when there was an ITunes update.

Import? how do i set it so in the future i will get that option after each import?

how do i delete images off my camera card after an import? how do i get that option window after every import?

If you can see the images in Finder, select the item, control - click, and move to Trash.

Library Inspector's "Last Import" shows nothing after import.

Photos are imported, but the "Last Import" option under Library>Recent>Last Import is always blank after an import. Why? How do I turn on?
I just imported 301 photos, but as you can see from the image, with "Last Import" selected, nothing is in the window. If I go to projects or photos, the import is there. I want to be able to see Just the "Last Import"

It looks like you have a filter set on your "Last Import" view.
Try to clear the search field in the Browser - it should show "Showing All"

ITunes no longer opening after last update.

ITunes not opening after last update on my main user. Second user is fine however accesses different library.
Computer freezes when attempting to open ITunes. Have also searched for the sync services file but is not located under reveal in folder or go to options.
Apologies I am not the best tech savy person and have read other posts trying to solve the problem. Other posts asked for the following reports.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated - we are an apple household and this is effecting everything!

They have not - your events are sorted manually - go to the view menu ==> sort events and select your choice of event sort order

Aperture does not recognize that there are images to be imported on an SD card. My workaround is to copy the images from the ST card to a folder and then import the images from the folder. Aperture also imports incredibly slowly after the update to 3.4

Check your Import settings in the Import Panel, i.e. all that might exclude the image type you want to import:
If you did not exclude any file types, and still Aperture will not import, remove your ImageCapture preferences fro your user library:
To remove the image capture preferences:
If Aperture is running, quit Aperture, and log off and on again.
Open your user library from the Finder's Go menu: Hit Command Shift G (⌘⇧G) and then type in: ~/Library/Preferences/ then hit return.
In the window that opens remove "com.apple.ImageCapture.plist"
and look into the subfolder "ByHost": if there are files named com.apple.ImageCapture something .plist remove them too.
then try again.
And if that still does not help, remove the Aperture preferences as well:
~/Library/Preferences/aperture.plist

Finder > Go, then hold down the options ⌥ key, until the Library appears in the drop-down menu, select it and open the Library folder. Then go to the "Preferences".

Photo library shows multiple "Last Import" albums after upgrade

Following my upgrade to IOS6, the photo library now shows 3 blank Last Import albums, the ones created when you use the camera import connector. I tried to reset photo syncs to correct the problem, but they still remain.
Having imported an event, one of the 3 Last Import albums is now populated with pictures. The issue remains that there is the clutter of the two blank ones which seem to linger and probably will always be there unless there is some way to reset this.
So the question is, has anyone else seen this issue and how can it be corrected. I have not seen any other similar postings on this problem.

And then I finally located the answer and although a bit of a pain, this corrected the problem.
Solution: (Only practical with a few empty folders)
Shoot some photos with a digital camera using a SD card.
Put the SD Card in the Camera Connection Kit and connect to the Ipad. Import the images but keep them on the card.
Disconnect the CCK and hook up to your Mac with Iphoto running. Import the images and delete from the Ipad when asked.
Delete photos from Iphoto.
Repeat several times and you should notice that each time one more Last Import album vanishes from the Ipad.

Lost "Last Import" after Time Machine restore

I recently had a hard drive fail on me but was up to date on Time Machine backups. So after a rebuild of 10.6.2, I restored my system from Time Machine. But now, I noticed that the last batch of pictures I imported before the hard drive went, are gone. They are still listed in iPhoto under Last Imported. And their Events Descriptions are showing up but all pictures are just empty grey squares, leading me to believe the links were lost. So I opened up the contents of the iPhoto Library and sure enough those file folders were gone also.
Any ideas what could have happened? Maybe ways to get them back?
I'm assuming the pictures are gone at this point - about 215 including my son's 3rd Birthday. Fortunately though, I have lo-rez versions on my iPhone.

Experienced this myself today with the latest iPhoto on a Time Machine restore after a failed hard drive.
I would guess the cause is that iPhoto writes the 'last import' into a cache file, and not to the Originals folder on the hard drive until the next import. Since Time-Machine excludes many cache files from its backup to save time and space from meaningless change (caches should always be able to be rebuilt), the photos were never copied to the backup drive.
However, this is merely a guess, and is the only reason I could fathom as to why Time Machine did not back up photos that have been on the disk for over a month. Quick testing with local files wrote directly to the disk, which makes me think it may be only from a camera or some other device, but I am not sure exactly.
If someone happens to find a way to get back the photos, let us know. Exploring the iPhoto library in Time Machine yielded me nothing, neither did rebuilding the cache database or looking for orphaned photos.

Others have the same issue, with the import button being grayed out. My trail copy expired, but I believe by poking around in the options and selecting another Aperture library and re-selecting, I was able to continue.
The problem is common enough, that hopefully Adobe will address. In the mean time, try repairing your Aperture library, checking permissions, exporting a subset of your library for a test, or try putting that library subset on an external drive. (Can usually avoid permissions issues.)

After several attempts, I now find that this is working for me. I wasn't able to open the IMPORT folder in Photos until I clicked on "Close" from File Menu. Once I was able to open the IMPORT folder and select the photos for import, the new photos appeared in "Last Import."

Images no longer in LR after last import - Yikes!
