Images not loading in Spry HTML Panel

Hallo everyone
I am using links to load html fragments in a Spry HTML Panel, just like in the example page
http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/spry/widgets/htmlpanel/SpryHTMLPanel.html
The whole structure is inside a Spry Tabbed Panel.
All works ok if the target html pages are in the same directory as the mother page.
Images are standard in the "images" folder
The problem starts when I try to organise all the html fragments in a separate directory.
Updating links in all the html  files is of course done correctly, images included.
Then the problem starts.
The html fragments load but with no images.
When I open the html fragments directly by the browser all is ok.
Any ideas would be appreciated
Thanks!

Can you upload your pages to a server and give us a link?
If your images are in your site folder (no matter which directory), but they are not showing up in your fragments, it is likely that the paths are wrong. The images (it seems to me) should exist on the fragment and be linked from there.
I won't have a chance to fiddle around with this right now, but if your images are linked to the fragment locations and that does NOT work, try linking them as if they were on the page that is showing the fragments. I'm not familiar (yet) with this widget.

  • Getting a sliding panel loaded into an html panel to work.

Hi. This is my first post on the forum.
I've been using Spry a little here and there. Today I ran
into a situation where I want to load an external page, that has a
sliding panel in it, into an html panel. So far I have not had luck
and I suppose it has to do with loading the js file. At the moment
I have a right column that already has a sliding panel (working).
But it would appear that the loaded external html file (in the left
"main" column) is not picking that up. Any suggestions for a noob
as to what to do next? Viewing the external page by itself allows
the sliding panel to work (that is when I add the js file import to
the head of the external html file... but that head section does no
good when loaded into an html panel)
Anyway, any help at all is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Eric

Thank you very much! I found the topic
    here.
It will require a bit of a small learning curve for me as html
panel and sliding panels are my first interaction with js... even
my rollovers are css driven. Thanks!

  • Spry HTML Panel Widget breaks ICE

I'm using the spry html panel widget to load a side bar
across my site. It has Ice tags as do the main pages its loaded
into. When editing a main page, it will not save saying. "the html
sent to save was not in the page". (referring to my spry sidebar).
Taking ICE out of the side bar page allows it to work.
Is there a work around to use this adobe spry widget with in
context editing? It would be a shame is the sidebar can't be
edited, or has to be done for every page it loads into not using
    the spry widget.

    Hello Addis,
I'm not entirely clear on your workflow, but InContext
Editing does not support editable or repeating region groups inside
    Spry Dynamic Regions.
You can create editable regions on the html page that loads
into the spry html panel widget, but you cannot have editable
    regions on the
    dynamic widget region itself.
Essentially, you can apply InContext Editing editable regions
to the content in the external HTML page (e.g.,
    panelWidget.loadContent('
widget_contents.html'). Then, when you want to edit the
content that loads into the widget on the main pages, you would
    edit the
widget_contents.html page with InContext Editing. You can
also apply InContext Editing editable regions to any
static content regions on your main pages.
Please let me know if this needs clarification.
    Best regards,
    Corey

  • Spry HTML Panel and Google Indexing

I've started working with Google analytics and am now realizing that my use of the Spry HTML Panel as cool and efficient as it is, is not being index by Google.  I am using the links with php pages that query a FileMaker database for it's content and need to have Google be able to open and index the pages.  What changes can I make to the standard HTML Panel Code to allow this to happen.  I'm getting ready to take on a large project and this will be very necessary.
    Thanks in Advance
    Joe

Ajax requests / all javascript are not seen by spiders / bots. Its a
    common issue with Ajax applications.
There a few ways to get them indexed. Point to it with a general site
map. So it get indexed through a other way.
Place links on the page that does the ajax calls to the urls. And
replace the urls with your HTML panel content.
So Spiders will follow the normal links and users will get the content.
Other way it to completely ditch html panel and just show it on the
    page it self :P

  • HELP! Images not loading and Firefox taskbar icon is a white file.

I went through all the suggestions in the image not loading help page and same with the add ins and nothing helping. The images load fine on Google Chrome so I know it's not the site. It might just be Adobe Flash images, but that's as far as I know how to pinpoint.
As far as the task bar goes, it's just a while file icon instead of the Firefox one. It doesn't bother me, but I just thought it might be related.
I'd appreciate any help! Anybody! Thanks,
    Stef

What do you see if you right-click the area where such a missing image should be?
Is that a context menu for images with "View Image Info"?
Are there any icons on the location bar that plugins are used or mixed content is blocked?
If images are missing then check that you do not block images from some domains.
*Press the F10 key or tap the Alt key to bring up the hidden Menu bar.
Check the permissions for the domain in the currently selected tab in "Tools > Page Info > Permissions"
Check "Tools > Page Info > Media" for blocked images
*Select the first image link and use the cursor Down key to scroll through the list.
*If an image in the list is grayed and "<i>Block Images from...</i>" has a checkmark then remove this checkmark to unblock images from this domain.
Make sure that you do not block (third-party) images, the <b>permissions.default.image</b> pref on the <b>about:config</b> page should be 1.
Make sure that you haven't enabled a High Contrast theme in the Windows/Mac Accessibility settings.
Make sure that you allow pages to choose their own colors.
*Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Colors : [X] "Allow pages to choose their own colors, instead of my selections above"
Note that these settings affect background images.

There are extensions like Adblock Plus (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) and security software (firewall, anti-virus) that can block images and other content.

  • Large image not loading

I generate JPGs on my server and send them to clients on an intranet (using http://, not file://). Smaller images work just fine. Large images do not using Firefox, even when trying to view the images by themselves in a new tab. Those same images work perfectly fine in IE 8, Chome v22, and Safari 5.
I tried the suggestions here to no avail:
    https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/fix-problems-images-not-show?as=aaq
    Similar problem found here:
    https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/795933?as=aaq
Not sure which attribute might trigger the issues, but I know:
    - 901 x 27928 resolution 3.93 MB picture will load
    - 904 x 32767 resolution 4.77 MB picture won't load
Looks like the image file is uncorrupted because I can click to view the image in FF, right-click to 'View image info', click 'Save As...' for the image, and save it to my desktop. Opens up just fine in Windows. Seems to be a bug in the way Firefox is attempting to display it...

That image displays fine for me in Firefox on Linux, but I'm not seeing anything in a Windows Firefox version that runs under Wine.
Even the Tools > Page Info > Media preview panel is blank there, but saving the image is possible.

  • No Script are working in SPRY HTML panel

I'm getting trouble with this website :
    http://dubezy-faure.com.linkfirst-preprod.linkeo.org/
I've have 2 HTML fragments with lightbox and a spry contact
form in them but no one is working. When I bypassed the HTML panel,
    my scripts work fine.
I've use the evalScripts:true but still nothing.
    Below is the code :
    <div id="menuhaut">

    </ul>
    </div>
    <script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript">
    var hpanel = new
    Spry.Widget.HTMLPanel("main",{evalScripts:true});
    </script>
I've added the scripts in the HTML fragments as followed :
    FOR LIGHTBOX
    <link href="css/lx.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css"
    />
    <script type="text/JavaScript"
    src="script/lx.js"></script>

    <link href="css/validate.css" rel="stylesheet"
    type="text/css" />
    <script type="text/JavaScript"
    src="script/validate.js"></script>
    Could someone help me...

    Thanks Diana !
My contact form is now working fine, but what about the
lightbox for the page Realisation? It has a lightbox effect on
clicking an image inside the HTML fragment. This lightbox do not
work. No error message is reported in firebug. I find this odd.
The lightbox effect works fine for the button plan, because
it's found outside the HTML fragment. Anything in the HTML panel
    fails.
Thanks in advance for the support

  • FireFox images not loading in local folders (firebug error-Failed to load given URL)

I am having difficulty when developing websites in local folders (Windows7 computer). The webpages I make are showing images in IE9 & Chrome but not FireFox (nor Safari nor Opera).
In FireFox I get Firebug "Failed to load given URL" prompt.
I am using html5 & external linked css stylesheet & the html/html5 & css code validates.
I have tried using rel path ie images/image.gif & absolute path references ie C:/RPD_Programming/RPD WEB/amwcsnew/index.html
and have tried using % to eliminate whitespace in references but I cannot get FireFox to display images!!
This has been a problem for me for around 2 weeks now & is very frustrating. Some website code/templates I have downloaded from the internet display the websites properly (ie load images fine) when I open them locally in FireFox. Why does my code not allow the images to load in FireFox (paths/permissions/other issue??). How can I fix this?
Here is example css & html5 not displaying images from local directory in FireFox (fine in IE9 & Chrome):

Is there a FireFox guide/manual in pdf format available anywhere? I have not found one yet & a FireFox reference might be useful!

You need to use file:// as the protocol instead of C:/. The latter may never work (C:\ might).
Where is the main HTML located ?
Easiest if to store the images in a sub folder of the location because you can't go back via ../ beyond that root location for security reasons.

  • Help with images not loading

My Flash page is supposed to load images from Photobucket.
However, the images are not loading. I've checked two things to see
    if they have an effect:
    1) Whether Photobucket has a policy file (crossdomain.xml) to

    2) Changing the allowScriptAccess parameter to "always".
Here's the HTML page where the Flash file is being used:

Duh! I didn't properly understand the purpose of policy
files. The domain of my own site's server needs to be listed in
Photobucket's policy file. Please ignore this message.

same damn problem I am probably having...When using IE and

proper function of the adobe flash player....You can reinstall all
night long and it will claim a "successful" installation but, it is
not....YOU MUST FIRST UNINSTALL ADOBE FLASH PLAYER USING THE ONLY
TOOL THAT WILL DO THIS WHICH IS THE FLASH PLAYER UNINSTALLER FROM
THE ADOBE WEBSITE....BE SURE AND SAVE IT BECAUSE YOU WILL BE USING

  • Website images not loading

    I recently uploaded our website www.acaciarecording.com. I
have run into the problem that the only page that loads correctly
in Netscape or IE is the homepage, all subsequent pages, the only

load. I have compared the code on the homepage vs the others and
cannot see any visible difference - though I am not educated in

  • Some images not loading on web pages

Using my laptop which Has Windows 7, some images are not loading on every web page, for example the header bar with the fox is not displayed on the firefox home page. I can't log out of my online banking as the yes or no boxes are not displayed. The problem also occurs on IE8. I have tried all the suggestions on the help pages. Iam running the same antivirus on my desktop so it's not the problem. The desktop is Windows XP, so I think it must be something in Windows 7

Try the sites from another User Account. If you need guidance for establishing a new account, here it is:
Here is guidance from Apple on how to set up the account. You can ignore step 7 in the article.
Also, on the system preference>Accounts panel, click on "log-in" options. There, select "fast user switching". This allows you to go back and forth between user accounts via an icon in your Menu Bar at the top of the computer screen.
Log-on to the new account and start Safari. If the sites are accessible in the new account, then your problem is specific to your regular user account. Otherwise, similar response means a system-wide problem.
If you find them accessible in the new user account, go back to your regular user account and
    - move the Safari Cache file to the trash (found in your User Library>Caches folder). Restart Safari.
    - If no go, then I'd go to the Safari preferences>Security>Cookies and "remove" the related cookies, trying the site again.
    - If no go, quit Safari, then move the cookies.plist file found in the same library>Cookies folder to the desktop, again restarting Safari. If no go here, put this file back in its original location.
    Post back with results.

  • Images not loading after I transfer them to the server.

There is some hidden code that only shows up on the remote server that I am transferring my files to that is causing my images to not load on the page.  I tried to cut and paste the code in here but it will not show up.  If you go to www.cheyennetrailriders.com and view the source code you will see little squares in front of images/084.jpg".  Does anyone know how to get rid of this code?

    Hi
The images are now loading for me, (on second visit).
It was being caused by the accessibility checker extension in FF, when I disabled then re-enabled it they worked, (close page first).

  • Images not loading consistently

    Hi,
we have an J2EE application which has been deployed in production server. The specs are:
    Server OS: Sun Solaris 9
    Web Server: Resin pro-3.0.14
Application Server: IBM Websphere Express 6.0.0.1.
The problem is sometimes the images are not loaded, but if we refresh the page or use back button and click again or use forward button again, the images are loading. Sometimes the javascript as well as the css files are also not loaded.
But the peculiar problem is that if we are in a LAN connection, everything is working fine. But if we have a static IP or browse in a internet browsing center or browse from home, then this problem occurs.
I am at complete loss over this issue. Any help would be appreciated.
P.S. The application includes jsp, html, java classes, EJB and DB2 database.
    Thanks in advance.

I am also having similar problem. In my case, I have a simple web application made of html and jsp. My html is trying to load some images from folder webapps/example/images. The code I have used is <img src="images/logo.jpg" width="500" height="70">.
The problem is only 1 or 2 images gets loaded and rest are blank. Can anyone help on this. If one image is loading properly why can't the rest do the same if all are present in same folder.

As you can see this code is an applet which loads pictures and lets the user flick through them. It works offline but now i have put it online at http://www.geocities.com/jimr1603/index.html the pictures are not being shown. the pictures are on http://www.geocities.com/jimr1603/img1 to img6. The pictures are not particually large as the total of the page, classfile and pictures is about 80k. Any help on this will be appreciated.

    wow this forum moves fast
anyway as is my nature i have updated the original code to include a simple game (beats revising) as another class with a popup window
