Images on a website don't show, while they do in Safari

This webpage shows a bunch of small graphics, connected by lines. The content does not show at all in Firefox 4 and the problem started showing in the last two Firefox 3 updates. Safari loads the page no problem.
I do use the noscript plugin, but the problem is still there if I deactivate all plugins, so I don't think noscript causes the problem (it also doesn't report anything about blocking something on that page).

Sorry for the misunderstanding. I didn't look at all the pages.
I replicated the problem with the Modern theme.
It is probably a bug in the JavaScript that displays the page incorrectly with a gradient background. I tried it with a backgroundimage, but the same problem occurs.
I would choose another layout. I choose the White template and then applied the gradient. I think it has the same problem, but it's not so clearly visible.

I've just bought a new laptop that uses Windows 8. As soon as I installed Firefox the program started not functioning. Certain websites are not showing as they should and it doesn't help by updating the page.
At times I've previously used a page such as www.riksdagen.se clicked a link on that page to move forward but later when I go back to the previous page the layout is completely off, all the text is there, just not in the format/layout it's supposed to. This is the most common problem that happens on a lot of websites, and it happens sometimes already on the first visit to that site.
Another example is after logging in to facebook only the upper blue bar shows.
Today when I tried logging in to my email account from www.hotmail.com the upper bar shows that the log-in page is "ready" i.e. the address bar has stopped spinning, but the page is just blank.
Can you tell me what's wrong and how to fix it? I've used firefox for a long time on other computers and never had this problem.
These same pages work just fine using internet explorer, but firefox is my preferred web browser.

I have the same problem in Windows 8 with newest, fresh and clear installed Firefox build. It's also for pages like facebook and so on, many pages you visited before. It's a problem with the cache. If you delete them, all is working fine for a short while.
The problem is thats this will happen nearly every day again, so its realy annoying.
In my constellations, its an Samsung Ultrabook with SSD drive and Windows Standby is used so, could it be that the cache ore firefox could get damaged while using powersaving mode if you simple open/close the Ultrabook?
I used Firefox/Windows 8 on my desktop without any problems but i will build in my new ssd tomorrow, so we will see if i get also problems like that by using energysaving modes (its only a speculation, it could also be another Bug in Firefox).

OVI Website don´t show my events

BUG REPORT:
Since my registration, OVI website do not show my calendar events, but i can see them in the search rsults, witch proves that they are successfull syncronized.
Events created at the website aren´t showed too...

Changes in my website don't show up

For 8 days now I have been struggling with this problem and now I'm starting to suspect something about my internet connection, though I only notice the problem when working on my website.
I have a self-hosted Wordpress website. Starting 8 days ago, whenever I made a change in the back end, such as change my layout or add a widget, the change does not show up when I reload my website for a long time (like a half hour).
This happens in all three browsers, Safari, Firefox, and Chrome.
This happens with any theme I choose to use.
Yes, I have cleared my cache and history. And it happens in Private browsing too.
WHY? Can you tell me why, and how to get this fixed? It's really hard to create a website when I can't see the changes right away.

Update to this problem . . .
A Bluehost tech did a trace route that showed Verizon is the problem. I don't totally understand, but it's like Verizon isn't letting me getting into Bluehost (at least not timely; since the changes do show up eventually). Here's a copy of the traceroute:

Another Bluehost tech suggested I go to the library and try making some changes to my website there, and see how quickly they appear. That went fine, the changes showed up immediately, but actually made the whole thing more confusing because it turns out my library uses Verizon for their ISP too.
I tried to get help from Verizon anyway. That was a fiasco.
I didn't come back here to the forum right away because I hadn't even gotten any response to this post yet. I wanted to find a live chat, but didn't at first. Then I decided to download the In Home Agent, which is a joke; it's just like downloading an annoying FAQ to your computer (and later I found out it's very difficult to uninstall). But I found the live chat button in the home agent, and spoke to a guy who didn't have much to say, quickly telling me that because it was a website issue I should email [email protected] He didn't even want to see the traceroute
So I did. They were worse than unhelpful, to the point of condescending. After explaining my problem, including the fact that I've been working with Bluehost for hours over the last 8 days, their entire answer was, "You are not hosting your domain with us but with bluehost.com"
To that ridiculous response, I replied, "Of course I know where I am hosting my website! I was told by the Verizon live chat guy to write to you. And doesn't the trace route show that Verizon is the issue, like Bluehost is saying?'
His entire response was just two links, no other text. The first link took me to my Whois, as if he didn't believe I know where I'm hosting, and the second was to Bluehost's contact page. Unbelieveable!
I did go back to talk to Bluehost some more, where they're always friendly and helpful, but he confirmed what two others have already said, that that traceroute shows that Verizon is stopping my website from reloading quickly.
I looked for a Verizon email address but can't find one. I don't want to sit on hold on the phone with a Verizon agent. So I guess I have to write here.
I've read a lot of negative things about customer service at Verizon. Please prove them wrong and help me fix this problem. Thank you.

Images and Photo's don't show when I download a PDF file or ebook?

I recently downloaded from MacWorld an ebook titled "Digital Photography Superguide PDF." It appeared on my desktop, and I opened it up using Adobe Reader 7.0.8. The 100 page document shows the text but none of the photo images related to the article.
I went to Adobe Forum and have not received any answers to this problem, and I also contacted MacWorld and they did not know why I am experiencing this. They said it is a PDF file and that I did not need the "Authorize Devices" to view this file. I have also just noticed that when I saved to my desktop a one page PDF file it is also missing the graphic or logo of the company.
Can someone tell me if it is in Adobe Reader or OS X?

1. Do the images display when you open the document in Preview?
2. I use Adobe Acrobat 7.0.8, so the preferences should be similar to those in Reader. In Adobe Reader > Preferences, select "Page Display" in the left column (Categories), then see if the "Display large images" option is selected (checked). If not, select (check) it and see if that helps.

Webpages on my website don't show as it should in the browser.

Im getting more and more frustrated. I have looked through all the troubleshooting topics but none seems to help. I am about to publish a website as a photographer and although my website seems perfect in iWeb it certainly is not when view in Safari (or Firefox for that matter). My main issue is that the page background in my photo albums "pulls" down when viewed in the web browser. It is very annoying. Sometimes it "pulls" up as well, from the bottom. In order to see it you have to first click "Portfolio" then click on an "Album" and then a photograph. Can anyone help?

Photos don't show individually. they only come up when I double click the blank box. how can I restore iPhoto?

when I open iPhoto, the screen shows only blanc squares where the photos should appear. when I double-click on a square (titled by date taken), all pictures come up. how can I get back to seeing all individual pictures?

Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Include the option to rebuold the thumbnails. This can take 3 or 4 goes to work

CONTACTS DON'T SHOW WHEN THEY CALL

Okk.,. My contacts are there. But when a person calls there name does not show up there number just show. Then once im done with the call there name shows in the call log. please Helpp!

There could be any one of three solutions... Try these:
1. Make sure you set your own country code at Phone dialer Screen > Options > Smart dialing.
Set your Country Code in this format: "+xx" where xx = your country code. Some countries have two or three digit Country Codes. Do not place the '+' in your contact's entry.
* In the US, set this Country Code as "+1", and place your local area code in the proper box (this normally the default setting in a new BB).
2. At the same location, change the National Number Length to the number of digits for your country (since some countries will have less than 10 as set as the default in the BB). Find out the total digits, minus the country code. Do not place the '+' in your contact's entry.
* For example, some countries have a total number to 8 (plus 3 for country code). You would enter "8".
3. You may have "Content Protection" set on your Address Book.
Look at Options > Security > General Settings. Scroll down to Content Protection > Include Address Book = NO.
*If you don't see this here, your device operating system handles this differently. Look at Options > Security > Encryption.

Can you watch iTunes TV shows while they are downloading?

I've just purchsed a TV show/episode from iTunes. I thought I read somewhere that you can instantly begin watching the show,even before the download is complete. My estimated download time remaining for this show is currently 8 hours.
Is there a way that I can start watching it before it is finished or will I have to wait until tomorow?
Does my computer still have to be connected to the internet during the entire download process?
Any help is appreciated!

I have never bought a show from Apple so can't say firsthand, but I thought I read here you can. Of course if it is taking 8 hours to download then unless it is an 8 hour program or you take a lot of restroom breaks you're going to outpace the download speed.

Images embedded in styles no longer show in generated webhelp

I am using RoboHelp HTML Version 8 and generating webhelp for interent explorer/firefox.
Before christmas when i compiled my project everything looked fine when i reviewed the outcome. However, since coming back in january and compiling my help again, things seems to have gone awry with how the help looks once compiled. I have noticed a couple of issues:
1. There are a number of images that are embedded in the certain styles (and references in my css file) in the project. However, these images now don't show and they have been replaced by bullet points.
2. I use a horizontal line as a placeholder to split up the page - this line is now a lot thicker than it looked before.
The strange thing is that the help topics look exaclty the same in RoboHelp and the preview so i'm not sure what has gone wrong here. I suspect it is an issue with my css file, but i compared the generated file with one i generated last month and they were exactly the same!
Below are two pictures, the first one displaying how the topic looks in RoboHelp preview (this is how it looked when i compiled it last month) and the second one displaying the compiled output in internet explorer:
Any advice would be much appreciated as given the prevalence of these images it would take me a significant amount of time to manually change every instance.

I also noticed this problem. What I accidently discovered
that worked for me, is that as long as the characters in the path
were all together with "no spaces," everything worked fine. I used
underscores to connect words. I sell on eBay as well as designing
web sites, so I need DW to generate the code for me to paste into
eBay's html "code box." So anyway, I would create the web page in
my DW eBay template, and then upload it to my server. Then I would
go back to DW, and enter the absolut path(s) for all the pictures
to my server. As long as the path is connected with no spaces, it
works.

Exchange Account in Mail - lot's of email don't show up

I have some confusing experiences Mail with my exchange email account (hosted as an exchange account by the German hosting Provider 1&1) - which worked fine for a long time.
Recently I experienced the following effects:
Email don't show. They are not lost. If I use a web browser to access my account with the Outlook Web App, all email are there. Mail shows always the most recent emails (from about one month) but not more.
If I switch between different email accounts in Mail (I also manage imap accounts and my .me account in Mail) and then back to the exchange account all or most email don't show anymore. If I close and reopen Mail the most recent emails show up again.
It's not a matter of disk space (about 400 GB free), I did the usual stuff like disk repair and check permissions.
I'm thankful for any ideas.

Quit Mail. Force quit if necessary.
Back up all data. That means you know you can restore the Mail database, no matter what happens.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
~/Library/Mail/V2/MailData/Envelope Index
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder
from the menu bar. Paste into the box that opens (command-V), then press return.
A Finder window will open with a file selected. Move the selected file to the Desktop, leaving the window open. Other files in the folder may have names that begin with "Envelope Index". Move those files, if any, to the Trash.
Log out and log back in. Relaunch Mail. It should prompt you to re-import your messages. You may get a warning that the index is damaged and that Mail has to quit. Click OK.
Test. If Mail now works as expected, you can delete the file you moved to the Desktop. Otherwise, post your results.

I've tried the usual remedies - Images or Animations do not show, Favicon permissions - I'm stumped!
The image files don't show when I click the favicon (to the left of the URL), then More Information, then Media - other sites show many image files. The Essay1.htm file was created as a doc in Word 10 then published to an htm file - there's an associated Essay1-files folder which contains the image files in the order used. Is Firefox expecting to find this info in the htm file somehow? How do I tell Firefox where to look?

That is still an MS Office document and Firefox can't display such a file like IE can.

You need to use a W3C compliant HTML editor to create your website and embed the images via <nowiki><img></nowiki> tags.
If you do not have such an editor then look at KompoZer.

Quits while importing; pictures in library folder don't show in window

Quits while importing; photos are in iPhoto Library, but don't show up
I have about 6500 photos in iPhoto 5.0.4. Everything worked well until this week when I went to import a series of new pictures. I import from a Scandisk card reader.
The process appeared to go well until the progress bar showed 1 photo remaining. After a time the application quit.
I tried again with the same result, several times.
I tried rebuilding the library. It appeared not to work.
I copied the library to another disk drive and tried to create a new library and copying back the pictures into the new library. It didn't work.
I trashed the software and reinstalled it, then copied the old pictures into the library and the new ones from my camera. Then I had to recreate the albums I had before. It worked.
This morning I shot more pictures and tried to add them to the library. Déja vu. It got to one picture remaining and quit.
I rebuilt the library. This time it seemed to work. The "new" pictures were still in the library folders on the hard drive but did not show up on the screen (one for each time I'd tried to load them with _1, _2, etc. added to the name, for each additional attempt, including the last one in the series).
I tried to add to the library. It quit at the one photo remaining point again.
Suggestions, please.

Hi Alex,
Two things to suggest:
-Try a different card reader
-Use Image Capture to import your images to the computer. You will have much more control. Once images are downloaded you can put them in dated folders then import the folders to iPhoto.
This is my preferred method and is what I do.
Using Image Capture to download images and video clips:
Open up Image Capture which is found in the Applications folder.
When it is opened, go to Image Capture/Preferences
Under the General button choose
Camera: When a camera is connected, open Image Capture.
The next time you connect your camera Image Capture will open.
In the window that opens you will see an Options button. Click on that button to set your options.
To find out more about Image Capture (it can do a lot more) Click on Help in the menu bar when Image Capture is open.
iPhoto: How to Change the "Open Automatically" Preference
If you find you can't change any of Image Captures preferences or can't access any drop down menus or they are greyed out, check to make sure Image Capture is loose in the Applications folder and not within a sub folder.

Screen just froze up in middle of netflix show...has the image on screen. Don't know how to get rid of it,start over.

I was able to reboot...thank goodness..because this morning the screen was still frozen on the Netflix movie...full screen and no options to do anything. So the first option was not going to work for me.
By the time I got to work the dead battery was showing...even though it had been plugged in all night...
So then I looked at the Apple website to make sure I knew which was the Sleep key...and then did the reset and it worked. It's at 2% right now and I assume it's charging....I cleared out the Safari cache and closed it up.
Option 2, the reboot with Sleep and Home buttons worked...once I held them long enough!
