  • Images on Arch wiki

    Uploading images to the Arch wiki seems to be forbidden for normal users.
    Why is that?
    All in all, the wiki seems to contain very few images.
    Is that an explicit rule?

    karol wrote:Yup, only some icons got uploaded.

    Ok, that page confirms it's an official policy, but it doesn't explain why.
    Is server space an issue?
    Or is it to ensure that users of text-based browsers can see all information on the wiki?
    karol wrote:What exactly did you want to include?
    For one thing, I was wondering in general why the wiki articles are not decorated with the occasional screenshot or diagram etc. like in most other wikis.
    For another, I would really like to use the following two images in feature comparison tables (example) in the wiki, where otherwise the words "Yes" and "No" would appear:
    It would just make it so much easier for the reader to get an instant overview of the information contained in the table at a glance, as well as to find a specific piece of information in it.
    Using the relevant html magic, it should be possible to make sure that browsers which can't show images will continue to show the words "Yes" and "No" in their place.

  • Rollover images on Apple wiki

    Does the Apple wiki allow the use of rollover images? It keeps changing the html code for me. Is there another way to have a rollover image on the Apple wiki? Thanks.

    Has anyone implemented rollover images on navigational bar items to change colors of the images when passed over and out? I already have the images.
    From what I can determine, I believe I need an onMouseOver and onMouseOut event defined in my navigational bar entry template that each references a javascript function. Then I think I also need two javascript functions defined in the header portion of my page template to get the new image source.
    If you have done this could you post the following: 1) navigational bar entry template, and 2) the two javascript functions used.
    My navigational bar entry template currently looks like this:
    <td><a href="#LINK#" style="text-align:center;display:block;"><img src="#IMAGE#" /><br />#TEXT#</a></td>
    Thanks alot, Andy

  • Remove image borders from Wiki's

    I feel silly even asking this but how can I remove borders from images I upload into Wiki's served on OS X Lion Server? The Wiki homepage has a number of large icons that don't have borders. I am looking to put together my own index page with a few custom images but they all get added with borders.
    Any help locating the tick box or button I need will be greatly appreciated! Thank you all.

    I'd love to know about that as well...

  • How to import MS Word docs into a Wiki (with embedded images

    What is the best way to import a lot of large MS Word docs (50+ pages) with images into a Wiki-Folder?
    I know that you can copy&paste the text and still preserve the formatting, but i'd still have to import the images manually.
    Is there something planned like Word2MediaWikiPlus?

  • Image Border/Shadow in Wiki

    Does anybody know if it's possible to remove the border/shadow from the images updoladed to the Wiki pages?

    With my images in the wiki there isn't a shadow. There is a border, but you could just drag the picture out of the box when editing a page, although in my experience those pictures were gone the next day...

  • Content Query Web Part - Custom ItemStyle.xsl to display image with hyperlink

    I don't have access to InfoPath or SharePoint Designer to edit the ItemStyle.xsl. So any solution suggested is preffered to be a manual change to ItemStyle.xsl
    I use Content Query Web part (in the main site) to list all the Wikis created in the a sub-site. The idea is to link each wiki to its printable version stored elsewhere.
    The wiki has custom column say "Link" that hold hyperlinks to the printable version.
    I want to create a column in the content query web part that displays an image (same image for all wikis stored in the site Assets) but on clicking takes me to the printable version page.
    I got the image displayed but the hyperlink takes me to the location where the image is stored and not to the printable version page.
    <!--Variable declared to read the link from the column Link-->
    <xsl:variable name="PDFLink">
    <xsl:value-of select="@Link"/>
    </xsl:variable>
    <!-- Image to the hyperlink-->
    <a href="{$PDFLink}">
    <img src="../Images/Icon.jpg"/>
    </a>

    Hyperlink column is treated a little different. The field, by default, puts the URL and then the friendly name concatenated together, but separated by a comma. So I created two variables one that pulls everythng before the comma and the other after. Then
    the html "a" tag looks like this:
    <!--Variable declared to read the link from the column Link-->
    <xsl:variable name="ActualLink" select="substring-before(@LinkColName,',')"/>
    <xsl:variable name="FriendlyName" select="substring-after(@LinkColName,',')"/>
    <!-- Image to the hyperlink-->
    <a href="{$ActualLink}"><xsl:value-of select="$LinkColumnName"/>
    <img src="/Images/Icon.jpg">
    </a>

  • Converting a word document to a wiki SharePoint page

    Community,
    I would like to convert documents to wiki web pages in SharePoint 2013 (I am beginning with word documents, but will eventually be doing ppt and others).
    My dilema is that the word documents have hundreds of pictures.  Therefore, the answer is not copy and paste from word to the wiki.  It is also not add the pictures to the library and add them to the wiki manually.  That is just not an option
    with the volumn of pictures and tables that I have.  Please help!  I saw an article on how to do this in 2007 which was very simple: I find the document in the libarary, click the drop down next to it and click convert to web page.  I am
    not seeing that option in the 2013 SharePoint.
    Thank you,
    Dave

  • OS X Server no longer allowing me to link images

    Hello All!
    Has anyone else experienced the recent issues post mavericks update that has resulted in you no longer being able to link images within your wiki pages? If so is there a way to get it work? At the moment I click on the image and the border goes blue and reveals the "link" button and let you do the whole process but once you click save the link is not there and it simply opens the image fully.... Very frustrating!!
    Any help would be much appreciated!!!
    All the best,

    You did this?
    MR user Kazyua reports that you can use the disk management utilities provided with the current operating systems if you want to do it manually. Windows 7 and OS X both have partition resizing functions built in. In OS X, open Disk Utility and manually shrink the mac HFS+ partition by dragging the lower right corner. Then in windows go to the start menu and type "disk management" into the search box then hit enter. You should get an overview of the drives you have and the individual partitions. Right-clicking on the partition gives an "Extend Volume" option. The Windows NTFS volume should then be extended into the free space you created with Disk Utility. This method has not worked for other users, so try at your own risk.
    And you ignored the warning? daredevil approach you took there.
    Erase your disk and reinstall, that Warning at the top of the page not to attempt without backup was serious, and DU was entirely the wrong tool.
    Yes I have formatted my system countless times before so I figured I would be carefuly and could handle it. But as I said above, I buggered my system.
    I'm sure there must be a way to recover the files before doing a reinstall.

  • Can't find the edit option for my own wiki content.

    I can't find Edit option for my own wiki document..
    I've created a wiki yesterday How to update Assignment field in FBL*N report - ERP Financials - SCN Wiki
    At the time all images are visible.. But now, I only can see the images. I got a report from other user, that they can't able to see the images..
    I log out from my account, then I see, Images are not visible in this content..
    I can't find the edit button..

    You have hotlinked the (jive scn.sap) images in wiki. This is not the correct way to embed images.
    The image needs to be first uploaded there(atlassian wiki.scn.sap), and then embed to wiki page.
    I believe you are able to see the image because they are hosted on scn.sap, you are logged in, and the images are part of your "draft" space.
    When your access issue with wiki is being corrected. also get access to upload images in wiki.
    There are tutorials available on how to embed images to new wiki platform.

    I tried right clicking on both versions The orginal (MP3 version) and the Ipod version.  the option you recommend is not there.
    This what I am doing:
    I have a turntable I hook up to my computer so I can download my old albums, I have done this a million times (without a problem) but Ipod updated causing The turntable people to update ... it works again except for the artwork.
    I converted the MP3 version by right clicking on the MP3 version and using "open with".  Is there another way to convert an MP3 file to I Pod?

  • Reg: My photo is not showing in my business Card

    Dear All,
    In my profile i am uploading my photo as the way of
    https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/download/attachments/21693264/251220071326.jpg
    this URL i given in my personal URL. And it will be showing in my business card. when other persons are clicking my business card we will get the photo space know. In the place of photo space below the photo space there personal URL   i am giving my personal URL like that
    https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/download/attachments/21693264/251220071326.jpg.
    When others clicking this URL everybody can see the image of mine. Instead of this i have to display
    my image instead of my URL. This is my query.
    For this type of query what should i have to do for displaying my image instead of giving my URL directly i have to display my image in the available photo space. As early as possible clear  my issues.
    Thanks,
    Sankar M.

    If you are trying to display your image in your wiki profile, you can use the wiki markup language and reference the image like this (using the full image url.jpg)
    If you are using the WYSIWYG editor you can use the graphic icon to insert the reference to the url in the wiki.
    In the business card you can directly reference your url and embed: http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/download/attachments/21693264/251220071326.jpg
