Images opening all scrambled and pink - PS CS6, MacOS 10.10 BETA

Mac OS 10.10, Photoshop CS6 v13.0 x64
Having an issue where opening a file (via file open or opening from the OS) will show the picture be all scrambled and pink, screenshot at: https://www.dropbox.com/s/i4lfee1zgtke4kj/2014-10-06 12.31.42 pm.png?dl=0 or viewable below- occurs on all different image file types. I have to close Photoshop and restart to fix the issue. Any advice?
Thanks,
Matt Greek

Nope, it's in the released version of MacOS 10.10, and affecting many applications. There are several discussions about it on the Apple Yosemite forums.
For now, all you can do is turn off GPU drawing and restart Photoshop.

  • Help turning off feature that opens all pages and numbers docs.

How can I turn off feature that opens all numbers and pages documents each time I open the respective program?

What version of OS X are you using? That information will help in providing a specific solution.
If you close all documents before quitting Numbers or Pages, you won't have them reopening when you launch the app again. You can quickly close all open windows in an application by typing ⌘ ⌥ W (Command + Option + W) or hold down the Option/alt key while clicking the red close button.
Other things you can do to turn off this resume feature:
In Lion, Mountain Lion & Mavericks you can set System Preferences > General to close windows when quitting an application.
Try Mountain Tweaks The option to turn off resume is at the bottom of the left-hand column under Lion. This solution does not work in Mavericks.

  • HT201210 Why are my ipad colors are all green and pink?

Why are my I pad2 colors all green and pink?

    Because something is wrong.
    To fix, try:
    - A reset. Nothing is lost
Reset : Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory settings.
If still problem that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • Open all links and bookmarks in a new tab

Today I updated to FF 23.0 and Tab Mix Plus is no longer fully functional, and I had to disable it. I am trying to duplicate its functions in about:config.
    I have two issues:
    1. How can I get all bookmarks to open in a new tab on the far right? Bookmarks are opening on top of the active tab, and this I cannot abide.
    2. How can I get all links to open in a new tab? No new windows, no right-click, no over-writing the current tab... just make ALL links open in a new tab on the far right?
    Thank you.

You can use the SearchReset extension to reset some preferences to the default values.

Note that the SearchReset extension only runs once and then uninstalls automatically, so it won't show on the "Firefox > Add-ons" page (about:addons).

I want to have just one Safari window open and all the links that I click on that are supposed to be in a new window open in a new tab and all the links that I click on any other program open on the same safari window but in a new tab just like in Firefox.
Can I do that? One single window for all my browser needs?

  • Problems with images opening in Opera and Firefox 3.5.5

I have allways on my website had thumb nails that when clicked open a larger jpg.  I use CS3 and set the target to blank so the image enlargement opens in a new window.  This arrangement may be simple but allways worked.  Now in the new versions of Opera and Firefox and I am told Explorer the link produces a page full of random characters and no jpg.
Heres the address of one one page. http://www.artyfax.com/teddybears/charliebearsautumn09.html
I hope someone can offer a solution and many thanks in anticipation.

Hi thanks for your help again, its interesting, just before I read your reply I tried uploading the same page to one of the free web hosting sites and it worked fine so it does look like a browser/hosting invompatability problem.
Not sure if I should mention who I use for hosting here but it is one of the larger ones who are generally very good so I am surprised but anyway I emailed them and am going to phone them too. I think we are one step forward now anyway.

  • Adobe Reader trying to open all .exe and .ink extensions

Upon installation of Adobe Reader all the programs that I have (and other files) are now trying to execute through this. Obviously this means I can no longer open the likes of my media player, skype and all other software packages. I would like to know is there a setting or something in adobe reader which I can turn off to stop it doing this.

Have checked latest version of flash player is installed. Software up to date.

If you want to update the OS, you initiate the download through the AppStore.  That said, someone tried this yesterday and it didn't resolve the issue for them.
We tested the upgrade scenario and blocklist functionality on a MacOS 10.6.8 machine and are unable to reproduce the symptoms, but we believe that they exist.  We don't know what the common denominator is yet, though.
I'm wondering if a complete uninstall and reinstall of Flash Player might solve it:
Uninstall Flash Player | Mac OS
    Then run the installer again.

  • Adobe tries to open all programs and con not be uninstall

Hi, I am using Windows XP and I installed Adobe Reader X 10.1.3 But after I installed Adobe, I could not open any files except the ones on desktop. I can not use any of them from Start or Control Panel. I tried to uninstall Adobe from Control Panel>Default Programs>Program Install/Unistall but still tries to open with Adobe. Is there any other way that I can uninstall?

It seems that the file association for .exe and .cpl may have been corrupted (and are now pointing to Adobe Reader).
Can you open Windows Explorer, or does it give you the same problem?
When did this start?  Can you possibly do a System Restore to a date before it started?
This may be quite difficult to solve if you cannot open any .exe or .cpl files.

  • Image Manipulation is making green and pink thumbnails

  • Color shift between image viewed in ACR and open in PS

Today I updated Photoshop CC and now I have a slight color shift problem between the same image open in ACR and then opened in Photoshop. It appears to be slightly more saturated in ACR.
I have tried the same thing on another computer and it does NOT have the same problem so it must have been something that happened in the update (ACR was one of the items updated). I have also compared the preferences between the two computers and they are identical.
I guess the next thing to do is to deinstall PS and reinstall????
    Any advice would be appreciated.

Any difference between ACR and Photoshop is most likely due to a monitor profile problem. They both use the same monitor profile, but there are differences in the actual conversion so a problem can show up differently between them.
Is your monitor calibrated/profiled, and if so how, using what calibrator? Or are you using the Windows default (sRGB), or perhaps you got a bad manufacturer profile through Windows Update? (yes, that happens frequently).
To find out if the monitor profile is indeed the problem, go to Control Panel > Color Management > Devices. Set sRGB IEC61966-2.1 as default profile (if it isn't already), then relaunch Photoshop/Bridge and see if the difference is still there. If your monitor is wide gamut, use Adobe RGB instead.
Note that this doesn't fix the problem as such, but if you don't have a calibrator sRGB will usually be close enough until you decide to get one.
If you do have and use a calibrator, make sure it is set to make v2 profiles, not v4, and matrix rather than LUT profiles.

    HI!
I´m having same problem with quicktime files from newtek. When imported they are all green.
I tryed to import in other softwares and looks fine. Even in Premiere CS5 is OK with Maverick.
I think the problem is Yosemite with CC. Must have some issue with codec orsomething.
Many people are having problems since yosemite upgrade! Whats going on with codecs?

  • Won't transport photos- they're all scrambled

I'm a long-time user of iMovie but this has me baffled... if the picture is larger than say 200kb or so the photos won't transport normally into the movie as they're all scrambled. I take photos at about 1704 X 2272 yielding about 1.2 Mb and these photos are all scrambled and won't transport into my movie. Any suggestions from those that like a challenge?

This has been affecting some folks for the past while. Having the Library on an external seems to be part of the issue.
Have a read of this thread
Yosemite, iPhoto 9.6 upgrade, large photo library is not recognised.
there's a post by Zaxe on the second page that has a fix. Worth a try.

I don't use Vista but have heard that the new OS handles file associations differently from the past.
I would do a Google search with key phrase 'vista file associations.'
