Images print URL instead of image

I have developed crystal report which shows multiple images(stored as URL pointing to Unix box location where images are placed). Same is publised to Infoview where i can see the images properly.When i am printing the images,its not printing the image instead just showing the URL.
Please help how to resolve this.

--Which viewer you are using to Print ? ( DHTML, ActiveX, Java ?? )
--Whatever viewer you were using, can you change it in 'preferences' and see if you get same error in toher viewers?
--Are you flexible in using Printing the report after it get exported to PDF ? If yes, you can use this setting from CMC ?
--If you export the report to PDF and print from Infoview, does the images print fine?

  • When I print in Photoshop CS6 the image prints narrower than stated image dimension.

    When I make a print from CS6 the image on paper is narrower than the stated dimension in the program. The height of the image is faithfully reproduced. I know that there must be a preference setting to correct this but I can't remember which one it is.

    I just finished watching a segment of Luminous Landscape's Camera to Print and Screen 2 video series on printing to canvas. Problem Solved;  I feel foolish that I didn't mention that I was printing-on-canvas as the solution to my dilemma would have been obvious. I measured a canvas print that I did last week and it has shrunk even more than when I first measured it. I have since printed large images on Epson enhanced matte and the dimensions were spot on. Thank you for your responses and great job on the video.

  • Image path displays instead of image

    Firefox v20.0.1, Win7 32 bit.
    This web page ( http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/epd/p/id/5336 ) does not display the "flowchart"image at the bottom of the page immediately following the text "The following is a map of other documents..." On a correctly working page, the image is a flowchart "navigation" image that opens new pages depending on where you click on it. In firefox only a box with an ftp path to the image is displayed in its place. I have seen the problem on other web pages as well.
    Actions taken:
    The pages displays correctly in IE v10. This problem happens on one computer. Different computer, same firefox version displays correctly. Different computer older firefox version (v17?) displays correctly.
    * I have tried disabling all plug-ins and extensions.
    * I have created a new profile. Seems like the first time I did this, the page displayed correctly, but when I refreshed (F5) the image is gone and the ftp path box is displayed. Subsequently created new profiles do not display the page correctly.
    * I have tried resetting Firefox and the page still is not displayed correctly.
    Troubleshooting:
    Ctrl-shif-K, opened the Web Console, cleared the console output, refreshed the page by pressing Ctrl-F5. The following is several lines following the first error on the console:

    You can remove all data stored in Firefox from a specific domain via "Forget About This Site" in the right-click context menu of an history entry ("History > Show All History" or "View > Sidebar > History") or via the about:permissions page.
    Using "Forget About This Site" will remove all data stored in Firefox from that domain like bookmarks, cookies, passwords, cache, history, and exceptions, so be cautious and if you have a password or other data from that domain that you do not want to lose then make a note of those passwords and bookmarks.
    You can't recover from this 'forget' unless you have a backup of the affected files.
    It doesn't have any lasting effect, so if you revisit such a 'forgotten' website then data from that website will be saved once again.

  • I randomly get black boxes instead of images when loading a webpage

    == Issue

    I have another kind of problem with Firefox
    == Description
    ==
    Ever since I upgraded to the newest version of Firefox, I've been getting a lot of blacked out boxes instead of the actual images. When I right click "View Image", the image does show up, but I don't want to keep right clicking boxes just to see an image. I also checked to see if I might how blocked the image on AdBlock or on "Page Info", but nothing was marked.
    The blacking out of images seems to happen randomly at different times. From different tabs opened, not all images are blacked out. On the same page, some images will be blacked out while some show up. Also, I've for the same web page, one day I'll open it up and everything is fine, but the next day I open up the same URL and the images are blacked out. It just seems so random.
    I was thinking my internet speed could have something to do with it. The blacking out also happens more frequently when I have multiple tabs open or if the images are larger. However, I did not have this problem until I upgraded Firefox.

  • Problem loading & displaying images from URL

    hi,
    I can't manage to display an image into a component from a url... here is what my code looks like :
    public class ImageComponent extends JComponent{
        private ImageIcon imageIcon;
        public void paint(Graphics g){
            if(imageIcon!=null){
                imageIcon.paintIcon(this, g, posX, posY);
        private void loadsImage(String imageURL){
            imageIcon = new javax.swing.ImageIcon(imageURL);
            invalidate();
    }when I call loadImage with a proper url, the image doesn't seem to be loaded...
    it might be that the image is big and long to come (also my connection isn't that fast)... but forcing the repaint of the component (by hiding/showin the component's window) after a good while doesn't do much...
    can anybody tell me where I'm doing wrong...
    cheers,
    DrLeinster

    hi,
    looks like PaintComponent() instead of paint did the job.
    thanks a million..
    for those interested in loading images, I find ImageIcon very limited and at the end I found a better solution :
    public class ImageComponent extends JComponent implements ImageObserver{
        private Image image;
        public void loadImage(URL imageURL){
                image = Toolkit.getDefaultToolkit().getImage(imageURL);
                prepareImage(image,getWidth(),getHeight(), this);
        public boolean imageUpdate(Image img, int infoflags, int x, int y, int width, int height){
            System.out.print("."); // loading progress...
        public void paintComponent(Graphics g){
            if(image!=null){
                 g.drawImage(image,0,0,null);
    }it is far nicer as it displays dots while loading... up to you to attach progress bars or favorit loading guizmo...

  • Spry vertical menu button shows background color instead of image in preview

    Hello All, I'm a newbie (to the forum and Dreamweaver) so my apologies if my question is not in good form.  I've searched for this issue but cannot seem to find the exact problem I have.
    I've created a website (my first) and used the spry menu bar.  It works well using the default blue and grey colors for button and hover.  However, I decided I want to spruce it up a little and change the buttons to use a background image (rainbow pattern) instead of background color.  I internet researched this for some time and watched all the youtube videos people have posted for this process and editing the spry vertical menu bar CSS.  Using the .a and hover lines from the CSS, I was able to add my background .jpg image file.  In the design view, the button look exactly how I want them to.  However, when I attempt to preview in IE, Chrome, or FF, the buttons still have the default colors and no image.  I've gone back and deleted the default blue and grey, but then the preview just shows dark grey and white for the buttoms.  is there something that I am overlooking that would cause the background color to show instead of the image I have attached to the buttons.  I can't figure out why it looks right in DW but not in preview.
    BTW, I'm editing a template file and all the pages are updated with the new image buttons, but none of the pages show correctly in preview.
    Thanks

  • Canon Pixma Pro-100 printer ejects 3.8 in of a 4X6 paper and prints only 2.2 in of the image printing from Photoshop CS6, I'm sure I set everything correctly - what could I be missing?

    Using Mac Pro running Snow Leopard (10.6.8) & editing & printing from Photoshop CS 6.
    Have new Canon Pixma Pro-100 printer and set it up yesterday.  First thing printed was a
    document from MS Word (a letter) 8.5 X 11 plain paper - this came out OK.  Next I fire up
    Photoshop and open a 4 X 6 inch image to do a test print.  I set it up in the print dialog as
    4X6 paper, Canon's Pro Glossy paper profile, rear tray, standard print quality, Photoshop
    manages the color.  I load the paper in the rear tray close the covers and hit print.  Now, when
    it starts to print the printer moves about 3.8 inches of paper out of the printer and starts printing
    on the remaining 2.2 inches then spits the paper out.  It does this in Photoshop (any image it doesn't
    matter), and it does it printing from Capture NX.  I have been able to get it to print on the paper
    correctly using Apple's Preview program but that that's not going to do me any good.  I was on
    the phone with Canon tech support for about 2 hours and they were completely puzzled suggesting
    I would have to use Canon's printing apps instead to print - that doesn't do me any good either.
    I want to be able to print from Photoshop.  Any one every heard of this or experienced the same
    problem? Thanks JamesD!

    Hello again. I recognize that a print is good if you like it and bad if you don't, despite what others might say, but I will at least share my experiences. They might help you or others who are following this thread.
    My monitor is calibrated with Spyder 3. Gamma 2.2, 6500K, 83 cd/m^2. Contrast at 50%; brightness about 52%. My monitor lets me choose blackness level - it defaults to 50%.
    When I print the test image I linked to above, using Lightroom, with no adjustments, my technical output is as follows:
    Middle step wedge shows twelve disticnt steps. Whitest step is color of unprinted paper.
    It varies from paper to paper, but I can discerne at least the 252 step and on some papers 253 - telling me I have good highlight detail.
    On the black side I discerne 8 or 10, nothing lower. (That sounds like what you are reporting).
    Artistically I am very happy how my print looks - nice red strawberries, good flesh tones, etc.
    One my monitor, the on-screen image is almost identical to the print. I am surprised that you can see the 2 wedge step on screen at a very similar brightness.
    I also checked out this B&W test image:
    http://www.northlight-images.co.uk/article_pages/bw_printing/bw-test-image-2.html
    You are probably aware of this since you are printing with Print Studio Pro, but others may not be.
    You can print a series of test images:
    find the one that best suits your taste, enter the calibration values in PSP, and save them as a custom setting. Then, each time you want to print recall the setting.
    You can do a similar thing in Lightroom using the printer driver and User Templates.
    There would be some one-time trial and error to that approach.

  • Import Images as URL

    Hi,
    We are trying to load images from web server as external links. When loading the image we have an option to store the image in the repository or Link to original file only. Is there a way to use URL instead of Windows file location.
    Thanks
    vara

    Thanks Tim,
    All our images are on Web Server and It is in DMZ. We can't create network mapping to Web Server. Only alternative I see is duplicating them onto a file server and load them as links. If I load them as Links how do I keep them in Sync. If I change an Image in its original location does MDM recognize the change and reload it automatically or de we have to do this manually.
    Thanks

  • Printing Text below Blob Images to PDF

    Hi......I have designed a report to print to PDF. The report will be populated dynamically with blob images anything between 1 to 6 images displayed 2 per row with a text description appearing below each image.
    However in certain cases where the other information above the images are long, the images printing overflows into 2 pages. In those circumstances, sometimes i get the text description appearing at the side of the image instead of below it.
    Please look at this PDF link showing the above case: Link: [Sample PDF|http://203.211.146.160/website/Sample.pdf]
    Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Does it work if you are not formating with multiple columns? Sometimes formating with multiple columns can be tricky.
    I just looked at your sample again and it is pushing the text to the next column before starting a new page.  Try splitting the detail line with the text in detail B, and make sure DETAIL still says keep together.
    You may just be stuck with it,

  • Resizing images in pixels instead of inches?

    How do I set the software of Elements 10 to resize images in pixels instead of inches?

    By going to Preferences.  This is done by doing:
    Edit >> Preferences
    And look for something like this:
    As you can see from the picture, it is under Units and Rulers.  Perhaps you can tell us what exactly are you trying to do?  For print, inches and cms are very common, For screen and web pixels is very useful.  For documents, points is useful;  but this is just a "rule of thumb" and people use it interchangeably these days because they have got used to different unit types.

  • Attempting to install printer on USGCB Win7 image

    Hello everyone. I''m attempting to run the installation for a printer within the USGCB standards, also within a government network with policies and restrictions in place.
    On our Windows XP machines, this printer installs fine. On our Win7 machines, it does not. I right click, run as admin, and the program executes (procmon verifies this) but we don't end up with a printer in the printers control panel. The vendor is at a
    loss, as it works fine on other Win7 images. I am at a loss, after attempting tons of troubleshooting methods and not being able to even determine the root cause of the blocked installation.
    Troubleshooting attempted: During installation, all logs, event monitor output, process monitor output, etc seem to indicate that the printer should be installing, however, the proper registry entries and files are not being created. There are no errors
    that pop up. We've had several IT and Security professionals, as well as ImageNow and PeerNet technicians review to no avail. We have dropped the machine from the GPO restrictions, verified valid certificates, and added administrator rights to the accounts,
    folders, and files, disabled UAC, DEP, and antivirus, and something is still blocking file creation, however, we can't find any indication of what might be doing the blocking. Other programs can write to the output folders (cutepdf installation is successful).
    I am running as Admin.
    Any tips, pointers, suggestions, or ways of identifying exactly what is blocking the installation would be greatly appreciated. I left out hundreds of pages of back and forth between me and other troubleshooters, so there's sure to be some things I know
    I have done and left out. Honestly, what I really need, is just to know WHICH setting (if it is a GPO setting, or if it's something else) that is blocking the installation, so that we can setup an exception or decide what our path will be. Thanks.

    I would guess the driver is not installing correctly, since there are no files placed in the "C:\WINDOWS\system32\spool\drivers\w32x86\3" directory as I am told i should expect, and as gets done on a non USCGB installation of win7. I would also guess it
    is packageware. I'm told it's digitally signed by our security professionals and the vendor, but never verified this myself. I'm not sure if it's calling spooler API's either. This is the first set of questions i've been asked in 6 months that seem to lead
    a direction other than the ones I've taken, so i greatly appreciate your time.
    Here's a code block of the OEMsetup.inf file, which i assume is the one that might answer your questions. If not, let me know and I will be happy to follow your instructions or google instructions on getting that info. I'm pretty good with computers and
    programming, but don't do much when it comes to printers.

  • Print Multi-page TIff images

    Hi,
    I have multipage tiff images. I am loading the image in the jScrollPane. I also have NEXT Button which
    show the next image of the tiff file in the JscrollPane. Right now i have a PRINT button which prints the
    image that's in the jscrollpane. I want to do something which prints the all the images in that tiff file.
    Instead of the image that's in the jScrollpane. If you need the code please let me know.
    Any help is always appreciated.
    Thanks.

    can send me the code so that I will see...
    thanks

  • Print Preview of Browser(IE) does not show the image, Printer doesn't print

    Hi,
    I am using a servlet to stream image (GIF) to the browser.
    Image is accessed by browser using the img tag. src attribute points to the servlet which send the image stream.
    Servlet has the image as the array of bytes. It simply write these bytes on the response object's output stream. It does not use any encoder.
    I get the image on the browser. But when I try to see the properties of the image I don't see the type of image. I also don't see the created time, modified time and size of the image. When I do Save As on this image it tries to save it as BMP instead of GIF. Also when I do the print preview I don't see the image in the preview window. When I try to print the web page, it prints everything except this image. I get small cross(image missing) on the printed page.
    I would like to know why the image attributes on browser go missing and why can't I print the image?
    I would like to add that I am getting the image as the array of bytes from a different application on which I do not have control?
    Thanks.

    I don't know much about Java Image API , but I could offer a few hints:
    - set the type of the image explicitly as GIF
    - similarly there might be a feature to set the data / time.
    Someone in the File I/O forum or Java Image forum might know better than me.
