Images rotated in Browser do not appear rotated in Viewer

I have the following problem in Aperture 2.1. I rotate images in the Browser and they appear to rotate just fine, but when loaded into the Viewer the images do not appear rotated. When exported by dragging from the Viewer to the Desktop (or other folder location) the images are not rotated, but when exported via the File>Export>Version command they are rotated.
What gives? Why do the images not appear properly rotated in the Viewer?
System info:
Macbook Pro Core Duo 2.16 GHz
2 GB RAM
Mac OS X 10.5.3

Solved my own problem. Nuked the Aperture preferences and everything seems to be working now.

Hello!
I am creating a Exel Work book and converting it to a PDF file (easy to share online).
Once I convert the Excel Work book, some of my images are cut off or not appearing at all.
Which I find weird because some images pop up just fine.
These images are originally flats from Adobe Illustrator I converted to pictures with Excel.
So why is that when I convert my workbook to a PDF file some images show through and others don't?

Never mind. Apparently it was just that image.

RoboHelp HTML v9 - Browse Sequence not appearing when generated

RoboHelp HTML v9
New project - eg not converted from previous version
Added a browse sequence as per the help documentation - I've followed the help documentation however when I get to view result of the generated WebHelp - the browse sequence is not present on the topic pages that were added to the browse sequence.
I read previous forum postings for RH8 - where reinstalling or repairing the software seemed to assist - however when I access through control panel - add/remove programs the only option in to Remove RH9.
So I thought I'd ask the question here before uninstalling.
There was also mention of a dll file that needs to be registered on the viewers pc before the browse sequence would appear and if this is the case due to the possible audience for the publish I would not be able to control that.
Any help is appriciated, thanks.

Thanks - I guess I was looking for the page icons that visualized the
sequence for the viewer.
That being said - the navigation arrows are present in my published file
however seem to hold no functionality - while on a topic that is within
the browse sequence clicking the arrows does not move through the
sequence.
I was initially looking for onscreen navigation for a series of topics -
I though browse sequence would do the trick but I think I will move to
another method.

Your mention of: "the browse sequence is not present on the topic pages
that were added to the browse sequence" seems to imply that you are
expecting to see the sequence directly on those pages. But that usually
won't happen.

Firefox 4 upgrade how do I reset Yahoo toolbar as its does not appear in dropdown VIEW list? Also Norton Internet Security 2011 does not flag up safe/unsafe sites on browser. Help

Just upgraded to Firefox 4. My Yahoo toolbar has disappeared and I can't work out how to reset it as it does not appear in the View drop-down list. Also NIS 2011 no longer flags up safe/unsafe sites when browsing.

For the Yahoo toolbar, make sure you have the latest version that is compatible with Firefox 4, available from https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/yahoo-toolbar
Symantec need to update their Firefox add-ons so that they are compatible with Firefox 4. They have indicated that for Norton 360 they plan to release an update to Norton 360 to support Firefox 4 in early May - http://us.norton.com/support/kb/web_view.jsp?wv_type=public_web&docurl=20100720113635EN&ln=en_US
I do not know about the time scale for updates for other Norton products. Pending the update by Symantec, if you want to use the Norton add-ons you will need to downgrade to Firefox 3.6.
To downgrade to Firefox 3.6 first uninstall Firefox 4, but do not select the option to "Remove my Firefox personal data". If you select that option it will delete your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.
You can then install the latest version of Firefox 3.6 available from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html - it will automatically use your current bookmarks, passwords etc.
To avoid possible problems with downgrading, I recommend going to your profile folder and deleting the following files if they exist - extensions.cache, extensions.rdf, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite and localstore.rdf. Deleting these files will force Firefox to rebuild the list of installed extensions, checking their compatibility, and reset toolbar customizations.

Image src dialog box does not appear

For some reason when I click the insert image button in
dreamweaver cs3, the image src dialog box does not appear any more.
It now just inserts <img src="" />. It used to allow me to
choose an image, anyone know how to fix this? Thanks,

After inserting a new SSI using the insert menu (typical code result: ) the properties bar seems to get stuck .. displaying the ssi code and not allowing me to select other elements on the page to edit properties. A restart of Dreamweaver solves the problem. But boy is this annoying.
All of the includes do display properly when uploaded to the web server and viewed in a browser.
I've searched the forum.. and read any post that seemed even remotely relavant and have not been able to solve the problem.
I would really appreciate your help. I am a web designer and have used Dreamweaver for many, many years.

If Dreamweaver is acting erratically, or if you see a message saying "the following JavaScript error(s) occurred", it's usually a sign of a corrupt cache file. The first thing to try should always be to delete the file cache. If that doesn't work, delete your personal Configuration folder. Full instructions are in Deleting a corrupted cache file.

Stationary credated in Mail does not appear properly when viewed in Outlook, is there around this? Or, can I export (as a PDF) the email drafted in Mail with stationary that does not have the meail info on top of the page . Thanks so much for your help.

No real solution to problem 1, stationary tends to look different depending on the client, as for 2 Mail does not export to pdf but can print to pdf, however you still get the mail headers.

Album Art Not Appearing in Album View

I have just upgraded to iTunes 10. I have all of my music attached to album artwork. The artwork shows up in Cover Flow, but does not appear in Alum View. I don't know if that is because in some cases I only have one song from an album instead of all of it, or not. I do not know how iTunes is determining valid artwork.
Any help you be appreciated.

The "why" seems to be that that somebody thought that in the old layout albums with only one or two tracks were consuming too much screen area because of the way that artwork followed by album, artist and rating could create large unused areas where details would go. I can't say I've noticed anyone actually complain on these boards about it as a problem but there you are. Personally I find the solution worse, particularly at home where I have a small screen, as the new layout uses much more space horizontally. I also miss the vertical grid lines and user selectable artwork size. All in all an uneccesary attempt to fix something that wasn't broken.

Fcx4 bin clips are not appearing in the viewer after clicking on them.

fcx4 bin clips are not appearing in the viewer after clicking on them , i need help getting them to appear in the viewer.

I have the same issue. I am using apex.oracle.com for some test applications, but for last couple of weeks when I login and click the "Application builder" I could not see my applications there (around 4-5 of them)! It says No applications found.
Neither I have any application groups setup nor do any criteria given in "Application" search field under "Application builder".
The only way I could access some, if not all, of my applications is to pull it from the link under the context box "Recent" (which you can see in the right hand side of the "Application builder" page.)
Any help is greatly appreciated. This issue is not a show stopper as I could still pull out my critical applications from the recent link, but its definitely a worrisome issue.

Heading elements do not appear in design view

heading (h1, h2 ...) elements do not appear in design view. anybody know how to fix this?
btw seems like DW gets worse with each successive version.

I really don't have any troubleshooting advice because I can't reproduce the problem and have not seen this problem being raised previously in the forums.
If you have deleted the personal config file and cache and that hasn't helped, it may be time to uninstall and reinstall.
Also double check your computer for any viruses or malware etc.,
Depending on what version you are using then, you may want to run the uninstall scripts to make sure you remove *all* files associated with the software and start from scratch.
If you are having problems with Creative Suite 3, I would suggest using the CS3Clean script: http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cs3clean.html
There is a different version for Creative Suite 4: http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cs4clean.html.
WARNING: The CS3Clean and CS4Clean scripts remove from your computer EVERYTHING related with the CS3 and CS4 suites, apart from any documents that you have created using Adobe programs. Make sure you have your installation disks and serial numbers available for reinstallation.
If all else fails, then you may need to contact Adobe Technical Support.

Certain images not appearing in Live View?

I recently upgraded my Dreamweaver CS5 and have noticed that certain images are no longer appearing in Live View. When Live View is unclicked, both of the images appear in both Design View and Preview in Browser; however, when Live View is clicked, the question mark appears for new images that were not used in Dreamweaver previous to the update. Does anyone know a fix to this? I have already tried to uninstall/re-install the software. Thanks for your help.

What is the exact code path to images?
How big are your images (filesize)? Did you optimize them for the web in your graphics editor before inserting them into your web page? Are they saved as RGB and not CMYK?

Title of site on browser tab not appearing

I just published my site (http://www.energychek.com) but the name of my company, or anything else for that matter, does not appear in the browser tab. It is completely blank. I have other iWeb sites where it does appear. Any suggestions??

2 special textboxes can be used to make the title which can be see also in the browser tab (<title>my title</title> in source):
1. "type the title for your page there" (the most important) or
2. "type a heading for the webpage here" (this one is used to make the title if the first one doesn't exist).

You must have text or text image (made by iWeb from text) inside theses textboxes, not an image (like your logo) or a shape (with or without text) .

Image of e-mail sender not appearing in e-mail even though it's in Contacts

From Gizmodo: "If you receive an email from a person who has a picture in your contacts, you'll now see a tiny image of him or her in the corner."
Sometimes I see the image, but most of the time I do not. And, yes, I confirmed that the image does appear for the contact in Contacts.
Any idea how I fix this problem?

I've got the same issue, none of my emails show an image except this one. Can't figure out why either, maybe because its my newest one and they will from now on. But that doesn't really make sense.
I also have the same issue over in MobileMe, no image since the update. Not even a recognition of contacts from the mail app either.

Icons on bookmarks of N97 browser do not appear

when I save a link into the bookmarks the icons not appear in the N97 browser. my old n95 shows them correctly.
my phone has the firmware 20.0.19.

Try quitting the Messages app then reset your iPhone. Double click the Home button to show the screen with running and recently used apps. Each app icon will have a sample page above it. Flick up on the page (not the app icon) and the page will fly away and the app icon will disappear. This quits that app. Then reset the phone. Press and hold both the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button continuously until the Apple logo appears. Then release the button and let the device restart. You will not lose data doing this. It's like a computer reboot.
