Images scrolling across screen gradually increasing in speed?

Any way to do this?
I have a photo mosaic and i have each individual image used to make it up.
I want to make a video clip of the images gradually increasing in speed across the screen eventually forming the final image.

Seems like imovie can't do anything...just want some images scrolling across the screen.
Im guessing i will have to use something more high tech like final cut?

Titles don't scroll across screen anymore

On my new 30 GB iPod, the song titles scrolled across screen during playback but after I did a restore they now only appear static and are truncated if to long for the display screen. I rstored because I mistakenly thought there was a problem with the iPod when I tried to use it attached to my work computer - firewall issues. I can't find a configuration to enable that "feature"...

I'd like to see this change as well.. I sent in a request through the iPhone feedback form.
I understand the difficulty in trying to implement this though.. since track selection is a one step process on the iPhone (tap) versus a two step process on the iPod (wheel-select then exectute), you'd have to have all the long titles scrolling at the same time, which would look rather chaotic.
Maybe it could be done on the iPhone by having the title scroll if you tap-hold on the title.

Full screen in CS5 - broken image spread across screen

I have just updated my graphics driver (to Catalyst 14.9) and now when I go to full screen in CS5 I get an unrecognizable image that is broken up across the screen!?
I've tried all the settings available to me in the AMD Catalyst Control Center but nothing helps

If you have AMD's latest driver, then you need to contact AMD and see when they'll have a fix for the problem.
In the meantime, disable GPU drawing in Photoshop's preferences.

Have long list of images scrolling across frame

Hi,
I've got a list of 22 logos (images) that I want to scroll from the bottom of the frame to the top. Because of the size of the list, they don't all fit into the frame at the same time (hence the scrolling). It's a 1920x1080 composition and I use CS6.
My questions is what approach would be best for this scrolling effect.
I've tried two things so far: make a psd file with all the images in a line and I've also precomposed all the image files and used an odd frame size (it's 5000px in height) to make them all fit. The scrolling works (I just use position for that) for both approaches but it all seems a bit clumsy to me so I wonder if there is a better way.
I'm wondering this because I need to blur/lower the opacity of the logos when they reach the middle of the frame so you can read a line of text that should be on top of the logos so to say. But I've struggled to find an easy way of doing this with the approaches I've used. The background is patterned so I can't just use a solid for the blur/opacity effect - so I don't know how to make it work with the psd file (I've also tried a mask but that just follows the images to the top of course). With the precomp I can time the effect if there isn't a better way (so that's what I'll do if I can't find a better solution).

I would recommend placing all of your images in a comp that is the same size as your main comp.
Parent them all to a null object.
Animate the null object. Adjust the position of the various logos as needed.
Now, in your main comp, add a new solid.
Precompose it.
In the new precomp apply a gradient ramp to the solid. Then apply Colorama or Tritone and set it so that the gradient goes from black at the top to white in the middle and back to black at the bottom.
Back in the main comp, hide the gradient comp layer.
Apply the Compound Blur effect to your logo comp.
Choose the gradient ramp as the blur map.
Adjust the blur settings. You should see the logos now blur in the middle differently from how they blur at the edges.
Use that gradient comp layer as an inverse luma matte for your logo layer and apply levels to adjust it as needed to change the opacity as well.

Time scrolls across the screen each minute

does iPhone have an active notification feature where the time scrolls across the screen each minute? Or is there an app that does this?
I saw a Motorola smartphone yesterday that had this feature. It would be fabulous !!!!!!

TThe feature I saw didn't require touching the phone, the time automatically scrolled across just for a few seconds, each minute.
FAbulius for for a massage therapist who uses her hands to work on clients but wants to know the time.
are you suggesting that if I unlock my phone, I can see the time on my phone without touching the phone? Is this constant and therefore a drain on my battery? Then too my phone isn't locked.

How can you increase the speed with a slider

I have been trying to work at this for about a week and a
half. I browsed several communities but it seems that noone has an
answer so I am not even sure if this is possible I am not a flash
expert but what I am trying to do is as follows;
I have a movie with several movie clips. I have an animation
of a female walking, I also have a slider that when I move it to
the right bags are added on to her. but what I am also trying to
accomplish is to have her walk faster as the slider moves to the
right.
I tried several scripts but they seem not to work as I wan
them to plus they start to cancel out the bag function.
How could I make this happen if it is even possible. I want
to use the slider to increase the speed of the lady walking. Slider
and Lady are movie clips.

My performance is very slow when I run graphs. How do I increase the speed at which I can do other things while the data is being updated and displayed on the graphs?

I am doing an an aquisition and displaying the data on graphs. When I run the program it is slow. I think because I have the number of scans to read associated with my scan rate. It takes the number of seconds I want to display on the chart times the scan rate and feeds that into the number of samples to read at a time from the AI read. The problem is that it stalls until the data points are aquired and displayed so I cannot click or change values on the front panel until the updates occur on the graph. What can I do to be able to help this?

It may also be your graphics card. LabVIEW can max the CPU and you
screen may not be refreshing very fast.

Preloader not working when image scroller present

Hi:
I designed a .fla that involves a large panoramic image that
I stitched together in PhotoShop, then imported into the library
and made into a movie clip, I then have the movie clip of the
panoramic load into an image scroller (the one in the components
library) on the main timeline so you get the sense you are panning
through the photo. Within the movie clip of the panoramic there are
buttons in it that then call other movie clips to load another
movie clip on top of the image scroller.
code attached to the buttons is:

My issue is the file is so large that I have made created a
preloader.
If I load the movie clip of the panoramic directly onto the
timeline the preloader works fine...
When I try to load the imagescroller that calls the movie
clip my preloader does not work at all...
Does anyone have any ideas?

This is an example of what I am doing
I have a panoramic shot that is in an image scroller, that
panoramic is of a group of buildings each building has a button
next to it. Those buttons then call up another movie clip from the
library using the attachMovie clip to show another mini movie clip
of what the building looks like inside, and what the purpose is.
Issue:
The buttons within the movie clip that is loaded into the
image scroller fail to work. If I just load the .swf files into the
browser it works just fine...
but the issue is I have a huge file with an image scroller so
I need a progress bar and a MovieClipLoader function.
How do I now get the other code attached to the buttons
within the movie clip that says attachMovieClip to work within the
context.
I am so baffelled as to why it won't work...

How can I get a parallax effect with Hub Control or change the background image scroll rate?

Like the title says, I'm trying to get more of a parallax effect with a Hub Control in Windows Phone. In my current hub app, the picture has to be as wide as the entire hub, and it scrolls through the picture quickly. I'd like a way to make the background
image scroll slower than the content on top of is.
I've looked everywhere in the API docs, but I can't find anything saying how to do this. :(

No increase in speed with parallel processing on quad-core

I'm using the NI Vision vi "IMAQ correct calibrated image" on quite a large image. This takes about 0,09 seconds to complete, and only uses 1 core of my computer. (25% cpu time) I always need to correct two images, so I made two parallel execution lines, expecting that I would get 50% cpu usage (i.e. two cpu's used), and still 0,09 seconds to complete.
However, it takes 0,18 seconds to complete, with 25% cpu usage. It seems the code is not executing in parallel...
I checked the Vision vi, and it's simply a wrapper to a DLL call. I think I remember hearing once that dll calls are single-threaded... Is that the reason why I don't see any increase in speed? Is there a way around this?

This is no good news then.
But maybe you can introduce parallelism on your own?
Depending on the algorithm, you are using, you CAN split up the image on your own and make calls on the algorithm for each fraction and then put the (altered) fractions together to a new image again. I have not tried something like this, so in the worst case, it does even slow things down.
Nevertheless, if the image is large enough (so "split up" and "merging" overhead is negligible) AND the DLL itself can be called parallel (not sure if this works), you could possibly see some performance increase...

Update RAM or HDD to increase tether speed?

Hi, I have a 2011 Macbook Pro running Lion 10.7.5 that I use to tether a stills camera. The files are very big and I have started to notice a significant slow down in capture speed. I am looking for some advice on what I could or should upgrade in the laptop. I already have the fastest processor that the laptop can handle, I have 8GB of DDR3 RAM that I could upgrade to a max of 16GB, and an internal Toshiba HDD that runs at 5,400RPM which I could replace with a faster drive. The question is, what would likely be the most significant upgrade for me to increase data speed, the RAM or the HDD? Or both? Thanks.

Yes, capture speed is referring to how long it takes for the image to get from the camera onto the HDD. I realize there are other factors, such as the type of transfer being used (USB, Thunderbolt etc.) but I'm using the best available to me for now. So upgrading the RAM or HDD is my only option. The files are about 70MB each which doesn't sound big but there's a lot of processing involved and the speed that I shoot is a factor also. I'll try shooting with Activity Monitor open, that is a great idea thanks.
I was looking at SSD's, I was wondering if shooting to a Thunderbolt external SSD would work or if the images would still get slowed down because I would still have to be going through the laptop to access the SSD. I can't shoot directly to an external drive because I need to also be able to see the images on the laptop as they come in, so it needs to be plugged into the laptop. Getting an internal SSD would be tricky because unless I spend a fortune I'd have to downgrade the amount of GBs I'd have since most SSD's are only 250-500GB and I currently have 750GB of regular disc space. Or would a regular 7,200RPM drive be a big enough upgrade from a 5,400RPM?
