Images showing up Blank in Preview.

I have recently upgraded to Snow Leopard and have updated to .2 so now on 10.6.2.
Whenever i open up an image in preview it is blank. i took a screenshot of the screen, blank too!
I read another topic and they instructed the person to upgrade to 10.6.2, but i already am.
Any ideas?

HI Chad,
Go to ~/Library/Preferences and move the com.apple.Preview.plist file to the Trash and restart your Mac.
If that doesn't help, install the v10.6.2 Combo Update This is not the same as the regular v10.6.2 update. The combo update includes fixes that may help if trashing that .plist file doesn't.
After the installation, repair disk permissions...
Quit any open applications/programs. Launch Disk Utility. (Applications/Utilities) Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left, select the FirstAid tab. Click: Repair Disk Permissions. When it's finished from the Menu Bar, Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac. If you see a long list of "messages" in the permissions window, it's ok. That can be ignored. As long as you see, "Permissions Repair Complete" when it's finished... you're done. Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac.

Why is slide showing up blank in preview and publish, but not filmstrip view?

I was having the problem I described in another post where data that was masked flips back to the unmasked value- however, this time I couldn't figure out any solution.
So, I tried copying the background image, putting it in an image editor, then pasting it back into Captivate and adding my highlight boxes (Captivate 3). It worked in Preview mode for a good hour, then I published and that particular slide showed up with white (no bkgrd. image) but you could still see the highlight box and mouse movement.
I shut down captivate then restart in preview mode and the same thing happened- worked until I published then that particular slide had problems again.
Any ideas? I'd appreciate them much. I feel like I've had every problem in the world with Captivate in the last month!

Absolutely confused... I did not suspect that my suggestion would lead to such inexpected behaviour.
I'll have to think more about it, which is difficult since I can't reproduce your problem.
Your idea to move the files from within Elements tells us something.
Maybe examining the log file could give some hints about the failures of Elements in the process.

Finder Cover Flow image preview size is small, cannot be adjusted and showing empty blank previews in Mavericks

When using Cover Flow the image preview in the main window (not the thumbnail list at the bottom) images appear but only use about 1/2 of the window space available. It is also showing black/blank preview images as I scroll through the files even though they are cached.
I enlarge the Finder to fill my 27 inch display, slide the size adjustment handle (three lines under the file name preview) all the way down as far as I can. The preview only enlarges to a certain point leaving the upper half of the window unused. I wish to enlarge the cover flow preview images to use this window space even if it affects the overlapping or number of cover flow images avaialble in the window. I am assuming this is becasue of the nature of cover flow showing the two previous and two following images to the left and right of the previewed image. As I scroll left and right occsionally one of the upcoming images will appear as and empty preview as well. It's all goofed up.
Hoping for any suggestions.
I have seen articles about using terminal to adjust "flow height" but never anything substainial that seemend like an informed solution.

I also would like to know if there is an answer to this. My landscape photos always display with a third of the cover flow window as blank empty space (matching your screenshot). This seems like such a waste. Is there any way to change the "padding" between the top of the finder bar and the cover flow preview?

Images show in Console but don't show up in preview??

I'm a novice website builder but know enough that I'm doing
everything right!.. I add images to a page and shows up in
Dreamweaver console but when I got to preview the page in Firefox
now all of a sudden the images never appear!... why all of a sudden
it it starting to do this? I had no problems before.... you add
images from your root folder "images" folder and it shows up then
save and preview and nothing....! Any idea's why its not showing up
in the preview? I don't have this site up yet on an FTP site... so
it never takes any time to preview either.

PREFERENCES | Preview in Browser > enable temp files.

A few suggestions for you:
Try:
uninstall all HP utilities or other HP apps on your Mac
see if there is updated software on the HP website
go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners > Print
control-click on your printer in the column on the left
select "Reset Printing System..." and "reset" in the dialog that follows
Do a factory reset on your printer
go back to printers & scanners and it should see your printer and download a driver for it from Apple

Did you already try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again? You will not lose data, but a reset can cure some glitches.
If this does not work, try to set it up as new device, explained in this article:
How to back up your data and set up as a new device
Don't use the backup afterwards, to rule out a software problem. If the camera is working again, restore from the backup.

Populated PDF form in Preview shows as blank when viewing

I have a pdf template form that I have filled in.
I did this in Preview and used 'save as' to create my copy.
However, the thumbnail preview of the pdf shows as blank, and if i send it windows users or preview it in gmail, it also shows as blank.
To start with I thought that I had accidentally saved the wrong version, but no, I can double click the pdf in Finder, and it opens in Preview with all the data present, exactly as I had saved it.

What I have noticed is that if I send the pdf to another mac user, they can see all the info fine. If I send the output from Preview in gmail, and someone downloads it, they can only view the information if they click on the "highlight fields" button, but then it still doesn't look quite right, with loads of expander "+"s all over the form.
When I tried opening the form in adobe reader from the link you provided, I get a different view again. I can examine each field and view the individual data items, but it is not possible to 'show all fields'

Pics from new phone show up as blank in Preview. HELP!

Installed Leopard today, and the pics form my new phone show as blank in a very wide preview. The pic files arent corrupt or anything, they open in photoshop, safari etc... Only other detail i can give is that they usually open rotated. The old phone (Razr) pics open fine, thi is a Krzr.

Are the pics saved as a .jpeg file on your computer??
If not you just have to change the file name to xxx.jpeg and then you should be able to view your pictures...
My phone does that to me every now and again..

Yes, you have Lightroom through the Creative Cloud. However, in the forums, each community specializes in each separate app you have. There is a forum for the Creative Cloud app, another for the Lightroom app, and yet a different for Photoshop.
In the Adobe Creative Cloud forum, you might post a question about not being able to download another app through it, or maybe you're having trouble signing into it. In the Photoshop Lightroom forum, you might ask questions about not being able to import photos into the app or other Lightroom questions. In the Photoshop General Discussion, you might ask for help because a tool isn't working or an error message pops up. So on for all the Adobe apps.

Word for mac won't show doc in print preview and prints blank page.

I have a document from layoutready.com that I have been editing and it is a .doc file originally and won't show up. I've tried saving it as .docx and still nothing. Also, when I create a new document and put in a shape or a text box, it won't show up in print preview or print either. Excel is fine. I can insert a shape onto a worksheet and previews and prints fine. I have sent a document to a friend to test and when they open it in their word (on a pc) it previews and prints fine. I called stupid %*&#@ Microsoft and they want me to sign up for $99 Office 365 to get support. Ergh. Should I try to re-install Word? Oh, and I also updated to Yosemite last night.

According to your description, you create a footer image in SSRS. However, footer image doesn’t display when you export the report to Excel.
The issue is caused by the Excel limitations. By default, the Device Information” SimplePageHeaders” setting is set to False and the page headers are rendered as rows in the report on the Excel worksheet surface. The page footer is always rendered to the
actual Excel worksheet footer section, regardless of the value of the SimplePageHeaders setting. Because of Excel limitations, text boxes are the only type of report item that can be rendered in the Excel header/footer section.
In this scenario, the page footer will not be rendered directly in an Excel worksheet, we can only see the Excel footer when selecting Print Title. And even we add a text box and fill with an image, it will not work because the background image will be ignored
in footer section. For all images, the Excel rendering extension only supports the background image of the report body. So your requirement can’t be achieved in Excel rendering.

I have a problem with my 4s camera which has come up recently. Everytime I take a picture and look it up via the 'Photos' app, it shows as blank. But when I click on edit on the blank picture, it comes up and I am able to save it back on my photo album.

There are a few things that are confusing in your question.
As far as I know, you dont have to install Time Machine on this OS as it is already installed for you. You only need to connect a hard drive to your computer via firewire or usb, click on the Time Machine icon, Open Time Machine Preference in the drop down menu and select a disk: your connected hard drive.
You can of course reformat this connected device, partition it into a few volumes to organise data if you so wish.
I find it strange that your mac's hard drive is divided into two volumes... perhaps this was created through bootcamp?
You can access the configuration of your hd through Applications/Utilities/Disk Utilities.
Clicking on one of the icons on the right hand panel will bring the details of the contents of your hardDrive and volumes. From there you can decide to erase a partition, reformat etc....
If your hd contains more than one volume, and one of them is empty, you could decide to remove it. Back up all your important data before doing so.
