Images that refuse to be published!

I have 5 jpg images on my dreamweaver page that show up fine.
Those 5 jpg images are uploaded in my public HTML folder for my
website, ubt when I load my website that page keeps coming up with
little red x's instead of the uploaded images. Can anyone give me a
glue?

Give us a link to a page that has some of these missing
images. I'm
assuming you have some webspace somewhere and can upload one
of these pages.

  • The images imported to my stage turn up as blank and render every image previous to the rogue imported image as red squares that fill the perimeters of the image which then renders the publishing and scene testing features in flash useless, what can i do

    I have been working on animating a scene in flash for a few weeks and recently I have encountered a problem with importing my images on to the stage where the images I import do not turn up, however the key frame that I attempted to import the image onto shows that it is occupied by an image and every frame previous to the key frame that just imported an image that does not show turns up as a red square that fills the original perimeters of the image, there is no solution to this problem any where on the forum and the adobe technical support staff will not help me find a solution to this problem what can I do to get Flash running normally again and fix this problem?????
    Also after the first time i publish a preview after i begin using flash, flash renders the publishing and scene testing features as useless and claims that there is no HTML template found, or if the images if i import any images onto the stage that come up blank and render every image previous to that image as a red square and then try and publish a preview  flash renders the publishing and scene testing features as useless and claims that there is no HTML template found. What can I do to fix this problem??? there is no solution on the web anywhere to this problem either.

    I don't know if Flash has a memory limit of its own. The memory for your Flash file is based on the available memory on your computer.
    There is a limit on the number of frames that you can have in any given timeline. I think that it's about 15000 frames, but that's a guess. Flash does all of its work at runtime, this means that no part of your animation is pre-compiled like it is in a video file. So the more objects that you have on the stage, the more work Flash has to do. It follows that the more objects that there are to animate, the more work your processor and the video card have to do.

  • I have a LR 3.6  64 bit that refuses to open any images today

    I have a LR 3.6  64 bit that refuses to open any images today.  Computer restore point created  and used , Norton cleaned still not joy any ideas guys?

    Rose, the problem is that you've somehow managed to ask Lightroom create a catalog folder with the name of an existing photo file, which as you have seen causes problems in LR3 (the bug was fixed for later releases). The only reliable fix is to reset the Lightroom preferences file (so that it forgets about that invalid catalog, so stops trying to open it). C.frans has already given you a link to tell you how to reset the preferences, but if you need more detailed instructions you can find them here:

  • How would I achieve a "magnify" image effect on an image that is only visible on "hover"

    I have come to understand that Adobe Edge Animate can now load external javascript script into projects. So I would like to use this feature to load a "maginfy/zoom" effect onto an image that will be revealed once a button is clicked on. To clarify the process  I had in mind would go something like this:
    1. There is a map the user can view
    2. When a user hovers thier mouse over sections of the map a "callout box" would appear
    3. Inside that "callout box" would be further information about that particular section as well as an image
    4. When the user hovers over that image, it would magnify similar to this: http://www.elevateweb.co.uk/image-zoom/examples (see the "inner zoom" example)
    I've tried loading the elevatezoom.js script into a project, but I don't quite understand how I would apply this effect to a "hidden" image. Most effects like this rely on external css styles, as well as specific "ID" names in order to call the function. Once the project is saved and published, when I try to view the HTML to add those "ID" names my images are not viewable.
    Would someone mind helping me with this? I'd be most grateful.

    I actually found a solution just as I was checking your replies. Thank you so much for the help though. I ended up getting zoom.js to work within the project.
    This is what I used:
    //compositionReady
    yepnope(
              nope:[
              'js/jquery.zoom-min.js',
              complete: init
    $(document).ready(function(){
        $('img')
            .wrap('<span style="display:inline-block"></span>')
            .css('display', 'block')
            .parent()
            .zoom();
    function init() {
      var image2 = sym.$("image");
      image.zoom({url: 'images/image.png'});
    After added the external scipts (jquery-1.7.1.min.js, jquery.zoom-min.js) I was able to get the magnify effect to work on a image that is revealed upon hover. I've uploaded an example for anyone who would want to do this as well.

    1. The highlighting of the fields that Acrobat does is affecting the visiblity of your underline. Turn off the highlighting.
    Paul, isn't this setting part of acrobat itself and not something one can "set" in the document?  Opening pdf forms on my computer does not show the fields to be highlighted.
    Which version of Designer did you use to create the form?
    It looks like the same version I had quoted above.
    I originally created a form that was based off of an existing PDF image.  I had just put the fields "on top of" the scanned image that the PDF contained.  The result was too ugly for me, so I copy and pasted all my fields over onto a new empty static form and created what I posted above.
    Looking at the original "ugly" form's XML it looks like the version of the software didn't change:
    <?xfa generator="AdobeLiveCycleDesignerES_V8.2.1.4029.1.523496" APIVersion="2.8.9029.0"?>
    Also, the "right" attribute exists in the original "ugle" PDF document that is dated 5/3/2009 if that helps any.
    I followed your instructions and removed "right" and that fixed the problem.  Looks like LiveCycle's XML parser needs an additional validation check!  I had wondered what that "right" thing was since when I was looking through all the settings I didn't see a corrisponding setting. I had just assumed that it was some internal setting I wasn't supposed to care about. Good catch!
    Thanks for your help Paul!

  • No image in HTML5 client after publishing to Azure

    Hi
    I posted this topic on the VS LightSwitch forum
    http://budurl.com/6z33 but I suspect that this is a more appropriate forum for my issue.
    When published to Azure the images shown below are not shown in my HTML5 app but they are shown in the SL app.
    I have tested the HTML5 app in Azure using my PC's browser and my iPad.
    The first screen shot below is the image as uploaded into my SL client when logged into the Azure hosted app (this is the image that the HTML5 client needs to display to the user).
    The next screen shot is what I see in my HTML5 client also when logged in to the Azure hosted app (no image).
    The last screen shot is what I see in my HTML5 client when testing on my local machine (all good).
    Please assist. Thanks, Mark.

    Hi Will
    Many thanks for your assistance.
    As a LightSwitch developer I am using the "out of the box functions and features" LS offers.
    As you probably know, LS has business objects and other object types available in LS.
    In this case I am using the image object and the image viewer control (all stock standard features available in LS).
    Before switching to using BLOBs (remember us LS devs aren't as proficient as Professional developers), I'd like to explore why the in-built image object is not behaving on Azure as it does on my Dev machine.
    Below is what I see:
    Screen-shot 1. Shows the image object with it's out-of-the box import capability in my Silverlight Client (this works as expected on Azure and on my development maching).
    Screen-shot 2. is of the table design view in LS (using a standard image object).
    Screen-shots 3-4 is what I see in SQL Express and on SQL Azure (they both show the same binary data).
    However as per the original screen-shots, the image object misbehaves on Azure but not on my Dev machine.
    Is there possibly a bug in the VS LS deployment? Or am I doing something wrong?
    Thanks again for assisting. Best regards, Mark.

  • How to import images that have the same name as images already imported

    I am trying to import images into LR3.  I have a number of images with duplicate names.  Some of them are duplicate images that I simply have stored in different directories and some are images that are not duplicates but have the same name.  LR3 refuses to import any images that has the name of an image that has already been imported.  Is there anything I can do about this.  If not, it kind of makes the softwares useless to me.
    In hopes of a solution . . .
    --Kenoli

    Thanks.  I'm sure making sure all file names are discrete makes sense.  I guess I need to find some kind of bulk re-name utility.
    Additionally, I am dealing with a very large set of unorganized images and one of the uses I would like to put LR3 to is to organize the images into directories and get rid of duplicates while inspecting them to make sure that I don't trash differing images with the same names.  One of the challenges is identifying these images so I can re-name them.
    I have been working with Apple's Aperture, which doesn't rely simply on the name to identify images since it uses a more complicated algorithm to differentiate images from each other.  It is one thing I really like about Aperture.  What I like about LR3 is that it lets me use actually file directories to store images rather than moving them into its own file system like Aperture does.  I don't like having files locked into a system that is software dependent.
    Also, I finally found the checkbox that tells LR to import "duplicates."  I couldn't find it before.  I don't find LR3 as intuitive as I'd like.  I've always had to spend more time figuring out how Adobe software does things than I would like. I've had little luck with Adobe's support site, aside from this forum.
    Thanks for you helpful suggestions.

  • Displaying images that are accessed through URL

    Hi,
    I have trouble displaying images that are accessed through URLs in my report.
    If I call the URL directly in the Browser the Image can be opened without problems.
    The images can be accessed with an anonymous access.
    When I deploy the report or in the Preview of Visual Studio I get the following message:
    [rsWarningFetchingExternalImages] Images with external URL references will not display if the report is published to a report server without an UnattendedExecutionAccount or the target image(s) are not enabled for anonymous access.
    In Layout View of Visual Studio the image is showen correctly.
    The Images are stored on a Solaris maschine with WebSphere 6.0 as WebServer.
    Any ideas?
    Thank you.

    * When designing reports, use "http://REPORTSERVER/Pics/somepicture.jpg" as the "Value" property for images.
    I have followed these steps but I still can not get the images to display.
    Our reportserver resides in the directory of another website rather than the default site.  I would assume that I would still follow the same procedure that you have listed but it did not help.

  • New images are refusing to synch with my online catalog

    I'm using APE 8, and it has stopped updating my online catalog, although I'm nowhere near out of space.
    The new images which refuse to synch have the backup/synch icon with the circling green arrow in the southwest corner.
    When I right-click the Elements Backup/Synch agent in the taskbar and select "Backup/Sync now", it does nothing. When I select "View Backup/Sync Status" it says "Your desktop photos...are in synch..." But they're not. So I hit "Synch Now" and the gerbils run around for awhile, and then I get the same message (that everything is synched).
    The visual indication that the photos are out of synch have now disappeared, but the supposedly synched images are not in my online catalog (bclayshannon.photosho.com)
    What goes on here?

    Re: Backup/Synchronization Issues
    I have been faced with the same issuebut did not realize no sync was taking place until i tried to share an album....
    I upgraded from PSE7 to PSE8.... I believe I have resolved the issue....
    You specifically need to:
    1) open Backup/Synch preferences:
    2) set backup sync to on
    3) open advanced settings and check off the types of files you want syncronized... At least the status now shows
    synchronization is pending.
    4) Make sure sunch is operating (turned on) Move pointer over icon make sure it says "Backup Synch is operating normally"
    When I upgraded from PSE7 to PSE8; these preferences were I guess, reset to what product normally installs with.
    Hope it help everyone who is experiencing the same issue.

  • Circular images being cut off in published module

    Here's a small issue that seems really strange. I'm using Adobe Captivate 7 (with all of the latest updates) on Windows 7.
    I've attached an image that shows the issue I'm having. On the top image, this is what it looks like in Captivate at 100% viewing mode. The second picture is after I publish the module. Part of the circular buttons that look as they should in 100% building mode, get cut off on the bottom and right sides after they are published. Any idea on how to fix this?

    Hi There,
    Greetings from Adobe.
    Have you used Smart shapes as circular buttons in your project ? In  which format are you publishing your project ?
    Are you publishing it locally or on shared/ network location ?
    Please try to increase the SWF size and quality from custom to high by going to Edit > Preferences > Project SWF size and quality and then publish your project locally.

    Note that this is boilerplate text.
    If you give complete and detailed information about your setup and the issue at hand,
    such as your platform (Mac or Win),
    exact versions of your OS, of Photoshop (not just "CS6", but something like CS6v.13.0.6) and of Bridge,

    if you're having printing issues, indicate the exact make and model of your printer, paper size, image dimensions in pixels (so many pixels wide by so many pixels high). if going through a RIP, specify that too.

  • How to change the default BC image that shows in the address bar?

    Does anyone know how to change the default BC image that shows in the address bar? I want to swap it out so the client logo shows next to their URL.
    Thank you!

    Hi,
    If you are trying to change the favicon for your site,
    You can do it from Site Manager-> Page template -> Default Template
    Look for the code   <link type="image/x-icon" href="/Path for your image" rel="icon" />, and Click save.
    Now where you will use this template, it will display your favicon for that webpage instead of BC favicon. You can define it on Page directly if you are not going to use template.
    Please let me know if you have any doubt.
