Images turn to monochrome

I have an E63, which I love, but it will frequently preview a linked image in the browser (normally, in full color), but when I click the image to download it or view it larger, the enlarged image is completely brown and only two-color.  It almost looks like a solarized image, and it's annoying.  How can I fix this issue?  Thanks!

Using the right click menu (or shortcut key) duplicate the version - using the top stack menu extract item from the stack, make it b+w, drag it to the book and viola.

  • Entire image turns black when using the type tool in Photoshop CC

When I create a text layer, the whole image turns black.  If I enter the text blindly, I will see the expected results when I finish and click on another tool.  If I try to edit the text layer, everything turns black again.  I am not using the type mask tool.  I can select and move the layer and I can blend the layer; I just can't see what I am typing.
    Using Windows 8

I had the same problem and the update of the video card driver did not help - only after changing the settings in photoshop under "Preferences >> Performance >> Advanced settings >> Basic" the problem was solved

  • Why are my duotone images turning black and white when put in indesign?

why are my duotone images turning black and white when put in indesign?
I have been playing duo and montotone images into indesing with no trouble. Then all of a sudden as I placew them they go black and whitre. I have tried everything from re saving, re making in photoshop and differant colours et5c. But nothing seems to wrok. The images already in my document arew fine it is just new ones. If someone could help that would be great

Can you start a new document and then load one of the duotones known to be good in the working file and have it correct? If so, try one of the duotones known to be bad in the working document in the new file. Does it work?
If no to either suggestion, can you share one of the images known to be good and one known to be bad? ZIP 'em up and upload to dropbox and plop a link here. Or, to keep the file sizes down, you can quickly make a new set and provide those.
As well, the ID version and OS info would probably be helpful.
    Take care, Mike

  • When I duplicate or copy slides, my custom theme images turn into question marks.  Why, and how can I copy themes with slides?

When I duplicate or copy slides, my custom theme images turn into big grey boxes with an 'x' through them and a question mark in the middle in their new destination.  When I go look at the master slides, I see that there are now two sets of masters, one for the my custom theme and a new one just like it, but with no images.
How can I copy (or duplicate) my slides?

OK, got it ...  the Power ON Factory reset procedures might have changed with GB ...
To get to a Factory reset using the Power up method:
    1.  Power Off phone
    2. Press & Hold the HOME Button
    3. Press and Hold the Power ON button.
You come up to the Triangle with the Exclamation mark & android guy.
Press BOTH the Up and Down Buttons at the same time.  This brings up the Blue menu of options.
use the Up/Down arrows to scroll thru the choices. Press the POWER Button to Select the menu item you choose.
You can harmlessly test this and just choose to Reboot without doing anything, just to see how it works in case you ever need to do this in the future.
edit:  It was concluded in the test group that they changed this process to align it with the new DX2 as the camera button isn't hard-wired like it is in the DX. So likely they just wanted to make this process the same for both platforms.  At least it sounds like a good reason...

  • The entire image turn white while I use the adjustments

When I try to make an adjustment in Aperture on a photo the entire image turns white.  I will try to adjust the vibrancy, brightness, or several other adjustments and it always turns the entire image white.  This use to be a periodic thing that happened.  Once I rebooted the computer it would go back, but it is now happending to every single image I try to edit/adjust.  Can I somehow get the image to appear correctly?

when working in photoshop the canvas/image turns black - not allowing me to view the materials.  what is causing this?  how can it be fixed?  very frustrating when working on a file and all of a sudden it's no longer visible.

Does turning off »Use Graphics Processor« in the Performance Preferences and restarting Photoshop have any bearing on the issue?

  • Image turns negative when cropping.

When I try to crop in CS6 the image turns negative until I finish the crop when it goes back to positive. Anything I can do to stop this?

Sounds like you have a display driver problem.
If you're on a PC, go to the web site of the maker of your video card, locate their latest release for your hardware and OS, and download/install it.  Follow their instructions carefully.
If you're on a Mac or can't get a display driver from online for some reason, in Photoshop go into Preferences - Performance, and try deconfiguring the advanced Graphics Processor mode to a lower setting or even turning it off.

  • Portrait image turns to landscape

When I open a photoshop file with my PS CS2, the portrait format of the original image turns to landscape, it happen again with Preview, but when I open the file with PS 6.0 in OS9, the portrait in portrait, how come?

What I am saying is that not all applications recognize the EXIF "orientation" tag, which is a relatively new feature. Graphic Converter corrects the orientation tag when it rotates an image, but not all applications correct the tag. If an app rotates the image but ignores the orientation tag, some other app (like the Screensaver) will not know it is already fixed. Screensaver then rotates the image according to the wrong tag, and it ends up 90 degrees wrong. In the case of PhotoShop 6, the orientation tag had not even been invented at that time.
The solution is to set all EXIF orientation tags according to the existing display. Graphic Converter does this to an entire folder of images. I believe PhotoShop CS has that feature somewhere too.
The best solution is to never correct the orientation with software, let the tag remain that way permanently and the application renders the image according to the tag. This is for the benefit if the most ignorant computer users, the camera sets the orientation and the software handles the image according to the tag forever. Not all software is up to speed though.

    Try the following:
    - A reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Restore from backup

  • Images turning Sold Bright Blue??

This just started in the last few days. But now some of my new images (.CR2's from Canon 50D) look great after I load them up. But once I try to change anything ... like exposure or recovery..... the whole image turns blue???
I can get it back if I use the reversal button at the top of the raw image adjustments.
I have recently applied the upgrade. I also moved my library to an external drive AND upgraded from a Canon XS to Canon 50D. So its hard to say what is causing it.
    Any Ideas??

    Hey Bob,
Not sure if this is related. A few months back (last fall), Apple pushed a new RAW update (I think it was v2.2) and my raw files from my Sony were Magenta cast. Horrible.
I donwgraded to v2.1 and it was back to normal. It didn't like v2.3 either. By v2.4 they had fixed it and v2.5 is fine too.
These RAW updates are a core system convertor for RAW images. Aperture does not do RAW conversions per se.
Not sure if you can downgrade to Aperture 2.1.2. Maybe someone out here in Discussion land can help you that way.
    Good luck

  • YIKES! My image turned magenta!

    Hi Noel, back again....
I am working on an ad that is due Monday. Because it will be printed I was working in cmyk. However, I pressed 'command' plus some unknown key on the left side of the keyboard, not the one I meant to hit, and my image turned magenta. I am freaking out because I can't find a way to get full color back. The action is not in the 'history' and command z didn't change anything either.
I am desperate. Starting over is not an option... can anyone help me? Please USING CS4 ON A MAC 10.4.9

I don't understand any of this channels stuff.... I am so grateful for you guys... You will never know.  Can you briefly explain what I need to know?  What the numbers mean? Why I care? And why this happened?
    You are all the best!

  • Images turn greyscale when saving Postscript/PDF or Print Preview but text remains in colour?

It is in colour, until I turn on Overprint preview, or try to save the booklet as a Postscript or PDF file.
In print preview or when doing any of the above things, it goes to greyscale but the text and rectangles remain in colour?
The images have been placed from Photoshop as eps files and were duatone in PS.
    Please help.

As both the engineering resource at Adobe most involved with end-to-end PDF print publishing workflows and having served at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo last year as an Industry Research Professor teaching students about modern, reliable workflows as well as variable data publishing with PDF, I find this thread fascinating.
Obviously, you can force fit PostScript for output, albeit very inconveniently and with the possibility of problems and artifacts due to the device-dependent nature of PostScript (along with flattened transparency, lack of ICC color management, and inconsistencies in spot color handling).
However, unless the university assignment was specifically to demonstrate to you how difficult and problematic PostScript-based workflows were over a dozen years ago, I am absolutely appalled that any accredited university or professional school program in design / graphic arts / publishing / printing would have you use PostScript workflows in any way.
Other than hacking around with the possibility of doing output that varies based on external variables as the job is being RIPed, I know of absolutely no advantages of PostScript over PDF in this arena and obviously a boatload of disadvantages.
As I have written many times in the past, I wouldn't advocate that publishers with extensive collections of EPS-based content do wholesale conversions of same, but for new content or when content needs revision, PDF is definitely the replacement for EPS or PostScript in any flavor.

  • Still images turn to black backgrounds in the exported movie

I am still using Premiere 2.0. I produced a ca. 25 min project with still images at the beginning and at the end and short videoclips in between. Still images are only ca. 40-50 kB large. When working on it I occasionally got a few problems (e.g. an audio transition across two clips was making Premiere hanging up) but I could easily get around them and successfully preview the project and export it to a folder and directly to a DVD. However, when viewing the movie on TV I found out that almost all (BUT NOT ALL!) the still images had turned into black backgrounds. I have exported the movie as MPEG, more still images were fine but not all of them. I have tried to drastically reduce the number of still images (max 5) but nome of them were fine. I do not have any error message and this problem is driving me crazy! Does anyone have a brilliant idea?
Last year I bought the new version of Premiere (3.0 I believe, surely not 7.0) but I stopped using it after one week because there was no way to successfully export the project I was working on. I made several videos, always got problems but so far I always found a solution on Premiere forum. Hope this time too!
    Many thanks for the attention

Try sizing your photos to 1000x750 pixels in size.
Also, right-click on each photo on the timeline and select Field Options and check the Flicker Removal box.
These will give you the best quality.
I am also concerned, however, that you are having technical problems and, especially, that you can not use a newer version of the program.
I'd recommend you install the latest version of Quicktime and the newest RealTek drivers, as we recommend in our FAQ.

Also, using my recommended computer maintenance will remove temp files on your computer and make it run like new.
