Images won't appear when file is loaded

I currently have a PC at home and I started a project there with images imported from an illustrator file.
It worked fine at home until I brought it to school and loaded it on a Mac. All my images are blank, however there is still a bounding box around them but there's nothing inside. Even the files in the project panel don't show up when I drag it to another composition. I tried to import the illustrator file again and when I did, the images worked, but that would mean I would have to redo the whole project when I've already finished it.
When I took the file and loaded it at home again, it worked fine. It seems like I need to update my files for it to show, but I'm not exactly sure how. Does anyone know how I can fix this error and get the images loading? It would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Check whether the machine at school has correctly been updated to A§ 8.0.2. Several not so minor bugs were fixed with the updates. also check your files on Illustrator (Mac) and if necessary, re-save them from there.

    Do your images show, if you disable the option "Do not import duplicates"? If yes, then check, if the images have already been imported, eg. using Photo Stream, if you are using Aperture 3.3 or later.

  • CDs, DVDs, disk images won't appear in Sidebar or on Desktop

    Hello,
    Brand new iMac 2.16, right out of the box.
    CDs, DVDs, and Disk Images won't appear on the desktop or in the Sidebar. Nothing is shown over the horizontal gray line at the top of the sidebar, no Macintosh HD, Servers, etc. Disk Images are fully functional, ie Disk Utility recognizes and mounts them just fine.
    I checked Mac Help and followed its instructions:
    (1) In Finder preferences:Pane:General, all 'Show These Items on the Desktop' boxes are checked.
    (2) In Finder preferences:Pane:Sidebar, I checked all boxes under "Show These Items in the Sidebar. BUT these changes are NOT retained. After I close the Preferences, the Sidebar does not change. If I re-open the Sidebar preferences, the relevant boxes are now unchecked, as if I'd never done a thing.
    Restarting was the only way to fix the problem. Thereafter, the upper items in the Sidebar (Macintosh HD, external drives, iPod, CDs) sometimes SPONTANEOUSLY disappear. They still show up on the desktop, but tweaking the Sidebar preferences is again ineffective. Restarting is the only solution.
    Thank you for your help,

    Screen images won't rotate when I rotate phone

    It depends on what image you are referring to. Not everything will rotate on the phone, the home screen being one of them. Check to see if Orientation lock is on, it will display a small lock and circular symbol near the battery icon. It is controlled in Control Center. Swipe upwards from the bottom of the screen and Orientation lock is the icon on the far right side of the top row. Tap to turn on or off, white is on, black is off.

  • Images won't appear in local preview

    Hi. I have a page I laid out in dreamweaver. It looks good.
    When I try to add new images, I can see them in the layout,
    but they do not appear when I do an F12 preview.
    My old images that do appear are in the same folder as the
    new ones I'm trying to add that won't appear.
    I tried to copy an existing image that appears and pasting it
    --they both appear in the layout, but an F12 preview only shows the
    old one even though it is the same image.
    I even tried to open a dreamweaver tutorial, insert and image
    and preview it, and it didn't work.
    Can anyone help me please.
    Thank you,
    Melissa

    This usually means that you are linking with root relative
    links. Enable
    Preview using Temp files in your Preferences, and then you
    will see them.

  • Images won't appear!

    This is a rather odd thing that is happening in Apex, I have never seen this before we have tried very many methods.
    Here's the story ...
    We have installed Apex on our Oracle App Server R3, and we have set up a load balancer. Everything works fine in the application except all of the images in the images/htmldb underlying subdirectories. We did a lot of debugging to see which images were appearing when logging onto Apex. For some ODD reason everything in the images/menu directory appears fine, actually all of the images directory under the images/htmldb do appear fine too ... EXCEPT for images in the underlying subdirectorys of htmldb/builder/, htmldb/icons/, htmldb/misc/ etc.
    What is going on?
    Here are the methods we have already attempted...
    1) Check the dads.conf file, everything looked fine the aliases were set up file for /i/ and /c/, we restarted the server and everything, still no luck. If the images from the menu directory do appear, then the alias shouldn't even be the problem.
    2) Manipulated the dads.conf, we manipulated the aliases for /i/ and /c/ and copied the entire htmldb/ directory into the menu directory, just to see if the images would appear and change the /i/ alias to look into the /menu/htmldb/, again no luck.
    3) Recopied the entire images directory, we deleted the entire images directory from the server, and re-copied a fresh copy over from Oracle. Just in case the images were corrupt, again no luck.
    4) We moved the images from the htmldb/builder directory to the htdocs directory, because this is a global directory, everything should be accessible by the browser, typed into the url, still image not found.
    After every step, restarted the http server and cleared the cache from the browser, still no luck.
    The only odd thing is that when we commented out ALL the aliases from the dads.conf file, the images from images/menu were still appearing, even after clearing the cache. These image files were being read from somewhere! We even looked at Apex after deleting the entire images directory, and everything did not work (that was expected). I am not familiar with the infrastructure, but something weird is going on here, is there some server cache that needs to be cleared each time or something?
    We tried so many methods for hours, please let us know if anyone has come across this dilemma, it shouldn't be rocket science, the images are there ... typing in the direct URL to the images in the images/htmldb/builder directory should let the image appear in the browser, am I not right?
    Is there something I am missing?
    Any advice is appreciated.
    Ann

    I'm not real familiar with how alot of the back end stuff works, but we had an issue where we added an image. It displayed OK in Internet Explorer but not FireFox. We had to upload the image into the SHARED COMPONENTS\FILES\IMAGES page. We then had to reference the image like this:

  • Macbook pro.minimize button is inactive. Finder menu bar and dock won't appear when firefox is open. not occuring with safari. have to click on desktop to get Finder menu bar and dock to reappear. think happens after update of something. How do I fix it?

    When i open firefox it opens up full screen (as it always has) but now the minimize button is grey (not yellow) and inactive so i can only open (green button) or close (red button) my firefox window. I can still make it smaller by dragging the bottom right corner but i can't minimize it to my dock or anything. Also, I have my dock set to auto show/hide when i roll my pointer over it. Now, whenever Firefox is open (no matter what size the window is) the Finder menu bar (with the time, battery power, etc) does not show up (which it always has before) and my dock won't auto appear when i roll my pointer over it.

    Can you check this issue on Firefox 9?

  • Distribution won't create .cds file or load previous .cds file

    I have successfully created a distribution for my CVI8.0.1 application, and deployed it with no problems.  However, although the settings work, a .cds file never gets created - I checked in the directory.  When I close CVI and start it up again, it complains that the .cds file is missing.  My distribution settings are gone, and I have start all over again, from 'Manage Distributions > New' etc.  I also can not add a .cds file to the Manage Distributions->Add that I can see in the directory and that has beeen previously created.
    This is  new thing, I was previosly able to create .cds files and load previously created .cds files. Nothing, as far as I know has changed on my PC.  I am running Windows XP.  I reinstalled CVI but it did not help.
    All of the code is in clearcase, several people (at different times) edit the files in the project and create distributions.  Other people also running CVI8.0.1 can create .cds files.
    What can I do?
    Lorrie

    I've made a modified version of cvi.dll to log some operations. Swap the attached version out with the one in your National Instruments\CVI80 directory (make sure to back up the original so you can restore it later). Then launch CVI, open the Manage Distributions dialog, and try to add an existing .cds file. Close CVI, then look for the log file c:\cvi_log.txt and post it back here.
    Hopefully if we can figure out what's failing in the add, it will explain why the save is failing, too.

  • ShortDesc of disabled af:inputText won't appear when mouseover

    Hi,
    I have an af:inputText with shortDesc = "xxx" defined in the page.  When mouse over the inputText, the hintText/shortDesc is displayed.  However, if inputText is set as disabled, the shortDesc won't appear if mouseover.  We have a requirement that needs to show the shortDesc to the user even if the inputText is disabled.  How to achieve this?
    Please advise.
    Thanks
    -Mina

    By removing autoCancel="disabled' and childCreation deferred from the popup, it works.  I also found that there is "context" facet in inputText that actually meets my requirement.  So I am trying to use context facet like this:
    <af:inputText label="Testing"
                                                                                            id="it17" value="Hello"
                                                                                           required="true"
                                                                                            disabled="true">
                                                                                <f:facet name="context">
                                                                                      <af:contextInfo id="contextInfo2">
                                                     <af:showPopupBehavior align="beforeStart" popupId="p16"
                                                  triggerType="mouseHover"/>
                                                  </af:contextInfo>
                                                                                </f:facet>
                                                                            </af:inputText>
                                                                            <af:popup
                                                                                      id="p16">
                                                                                <af:outputText value="outputText186"
                                                                                               id="ot153"/>
                                                                            </af:popup>
    Thanks for all your suggestions.

  • Apps won't appear when home button is double tapped

    Open apps no longer appear when I double tap the home button. It is a new iPad mini, and the apps were appearing a couple of days ago, and now they're not. Not sure what's happening.

    The first thing to try is a simple device reset:
    Device Reset (won't affect settings/data/music/apps/etc)
    1. Press and hold (& continue to hold) BOTH the Sleep/Wake button & the Home button.
    2. Continue to hold BOTH (ignoring any other messages that may show) until you see the Apple logo on the screen.
    3. Release BOTH buttons when you see the Apple logo and allow the device to boot normally.
    Second, your double-click speed may be off. You may want to look at the settings and change the speed to something possibly slower/faster, depending on how you actually click the Home button:

  • Dock won't appear when app in full screen

    Installed Mavericks on a 2011 Mac Mini - first strange bug - Dock (I have it across the bottom) will not appear when the app is in Full Screen (Safari and Mail both act this way) - Take it out of full screen, and dock pops up like normal.  Bug?

    Revealing the Dock while in a full-screen app requires not only moving the cursor to the bottom of the screen, but keeping your finger on it or moving the cursor along the bottom edge (or other "tricks") to reveal the Dock.
    SUPER ANNOYING TO ME
    Many users may like that way of operation, perhaps a great majority. But hundreds of thousands may find it annoying to have this cognitive pause imposed and would rather have the dock appear accidently once in a while when moving the cursor close to the bottom area of the display.
    This worked before Mavericks:
    Setting the Dock autohide delay to zero (in Terminal, with write defaults...) removed this annoyance. As soon as your cursor's at the bottom of the screen, the Dock's there.
    In Mavericks: Nothing to do! (so far)
    APPLE: "You" make WRONG design decisions, "you" make professional users spend dozens of hours investigating how to tweak basic features behind the scenes. And THEN, "you" quietly invalidate those changes. Please, the best design decision that "you" could make is to give the user more choice. Please, give us a section in Preferences where these things may be changed. The religious dumbing down of the interface in favour of supposedly clean esthetics is plain WRONG.
    It is also quite unacceptable that APPLE does read these pages but never responds.

  • Loader images do not appear when .swf is published.

    I have a series of images that I want to be able to swap out
    on a weekly basis in my flash piece. I used the image loader to
    call them from my webserver, and when I am in flash, editing my
    .fla, they appear perfectly. But once I publish the flash piece, a
    white box appears in their place, and the images never load.
    It doesn't matter whether I publish the flash to the web and
    place it in the same folder as the images, or just publish it and
    view it from my harddrive... either way, the images do not show in
    the .swf... they only show while editing in flash. I am calling
    dynamic text from the same server, and it works perfectly. Any help
    is appreciated.

    Hmm... hard to tell what is going on Josh. Can you provide a
    url to the
