Imaging completing but doesn't create image file?

Weird issue. We are having problems with a few workstations. We start
taking a manual image of a workstation. The imaging starts and runs
normal. In Windows explorer, you can see the file being created but is
0 kb. The image completes and says successful, but when we go back to
the image directory, it file is no longer there??
Can't seem to figure out where it is failing at?

No, I have never seen the zmg file burn like this.
Could you reload the imgserver with -debug

You can only watch the movie on the device you rented it on. Here's a snippet from the Apple Support site (italics mine):
If you download a rented movie on your computer: You can transfer it to a device such as your Apple TV (1st generation), iPhone, iPad, or iPod if it’s a standard-definition film (movies in HD can only be watched on your computer, iPad, iPhone 4 or later, iPod touch (4th generation or later), or Apple TV). Once you move the movie from your computer to a device, the movie will disappear from your computer's iTunes library. You can move the movie between devices as many times as you wish during the rental period, but the movie can only exist on one device at a time.
If you download a rented movie on your iPhone 4 or later, iPad, iPod touch (4th generation or later), or Apple TV: It is not transferable to any other device or computer.

New iphone says "sync complete" but doesn't download any music?

I have had iTunes and used it without incident with my iPod. Just bought an iphone today but when I went to sync with iTunes for the first time it prompted me to updated to latest version which I did. For some reason it seems to sync to my iphone, says "sync complete", but doesn't download anything from my library. Iphone still says "no content". First day home with iphone. Not real happy about it.
Help please?

Make sure you have checked "Sync Music in the music pane when connected to iTunes.

Sync says complete but doesn't copy anything

I have more music than space on my iPod nano so I've been using the "Sync only ticked songs and videos" option. But when I add new music to iTunes in tries to sync every time I open iTunes and if there isn't enough space it just tries to copy what it can, which is a pain. I've selected "Prevent iPods and iPhones syncing automatically" under Devices in Preferences but that doesn't seem to do anything.
I read that selecting "Manually manage music and videos" would stop it syncing automatically so I selected this. But this disables "Sync only ticked songs and videos" and I'm assuming the only way to get songs on my iPod is by dragging and dropping, which isn't really very practical when you've got nearly 5,000 of them. So I deselected "Manually manage...".
At some point, everything on my iPod got wiped. I've tried syncing and it says it's completed but there's still nothing on the iPod. I thought it might be because "Enable disk use" got automatically selected when I selected "Manually manage..." but turning this off doesn't help. I click Sync and straight away it tells me it's synced but still no music on the iPod.
Sorry for the essay, but thought I should give as much info as possible. I'd be really grateful if anyone could tell me how to fix this.

Glad you got sorted, but it might be worth clarifying a few things.
*Prevent iPods and iPhones syncing automatically* changes the behaviour when you connect your iPod if it is also set to sync automatically. When this option is checked you have an opportunity to change your selections before clicking a button to begin syncing. If this option is unchecked and your iPod is set up to sync then it will do so as soon as you connect it. In manually manage mode this option has no effect.
If your device is smaller than your library and you've not opted to sync with selected playlists then it will fill up with the oldest checked entries in your library and then stop. Subsequent sync operations will be unable to add any more data.
When you switch to manual manage from automatic all the content currently on the iPod will remain until you actively delete some of it to make room for something else.
You don't have to work with single files when dragging & dropping or selecting items to delete. You can use SHIFT & CTRL to specify ranges and add or remove individual items from the range. With the browser active you can also drag albums, artists, genres etc.
A good way to get started would be to create a smart playlist, called soemthing like "Sync List" or "My Tunes", with the rules *Playlist is Music* and *Limit to X Gb selected by most recently added*. Where X is a bit less than the capacity of your iPod. Then set your iPod to sync with that. This will ensure your most recent additions get included. You can improve things by creating regular playlists called "Essentials" and "Exclude". Modify the first playlist so that it becomes *Playlist is Music AND Playlist is not Exclude, Limit to...* and sync both this and the "Essentials" playlist to your iPod.

Acrobat 11 doesn't create pdf. files from doc. files

I tried to create a pdf. file from a doc. file (Office 2003). Acrobat 11 instead opens a warning message with the following contents (translated from German):
A high security level has been chosen. Start the application that created the document, activate the dialogue "safety warning", choose "always trust macros from this resource, activate ... from Adobe Systems Inc. (the message aborts there).
I selected "Extras/Macro/Safety/Safety level" , there I selected "low". The above mentioned message still comes up.
What do you suggest to do in order to finally create pdf. files from doc. files?
Additional information: Creating pdf. files from xls. files (Excel), txt. files (Editor) and saving a webpage as a pdf. file all work fine.

Although Office 2003 is old compared to Acrobat XI, according to Compatible web browsers and PDFMaker applications it should work, though support has passed end of life.
So my first test (if it were me) would be to see if PDFMaker works if run in the simplest way (the only way I ever use it, this right click conversion stuff isn't in my worldview). That is, does the Acrobat menu appear in Word and does it work? If it does not work, no other method based on it can work.

Bootcamp image automated backup almost completed, but doesn't quite work.

Hi. Long story short -
Trying to create backup image of bootcamp partition onto external HDD. Using winclone perl script and automatically creating and replacing relevant backup folders depending on times of previous backups. I have set up root user. I have edited sudo visudo so I am not prompted for password while running perl script and everything works…. almost.
The ‘run the script’ section within the applescript takes 20-30 minutes to run. Later on the Finder move action takes about 10-15 minutes to run which is why I have inserted the timeout statement to avoid Finder timing out while waiting for the move to finish.
The disk ‘Otherstuff’ exists. The folder within it called Backups exists and the 3 folders within that folder called WindowsMonthlyBackups, WindowsWeeklyBackups and WindowsDailyBackups all exist. Macintosh HD:Users:leeandnessahome:Documents:windowsbackup exists.
The delete and recreate works fine. Check that Bootcamp and Otherstuff exist works fine. The perl script works fine. The Windows.sparsebundle plus 3 other files are successfully created in the folder Macintosh HD:Users:leeandnessahome:Documents:windowsbackup:backup but then it falls apart. In the example Event Log below you can see that the applescript started checking for the date of the ‘size’ file if it exists and just decided to stop for no reason. I left t for an hour after it stopped but it was just hung. 4 hours later I ran it and it worked fine. On this occasion there was no need to copy files because Daily, Weekly and Monthly backups were up to date. Sometimes it runs through this section successfully and instead stops in the middle of renaming the folders section later on.
If I cut out the delete and recreate section (except the property line) and cut out the perl section, and ensure that the relevant files are already located in Macintosh HD:Users:leeandnessahome:Documents:windowsbackup:backup and ensure that a backup is required everything works fine including the copying!
I’m so close and so frustrated. What is wrong please?

Noise reduction works in preview but doesn't apply to file

I have a file that I would like to apply noise reduction to. So in the tasks menu I click Clean Up Audio, then under Noise I click Noise... From there I can play with the Noise settings and get it to clean up nicely. But when I hit OK, it doesn't apply the noise reduction. It seems to be doing something to the audio because the waveform changes.. just not reducing the noise as previewed. Anybody know why it wouldn't be applying the effect? Other audio editing options seem to work just fine.

It is a 16 bit 44.1 kHz mono sound effect.. it is noisy and sounds like it could have been 8 bit at some point in its life cycle.

I am trying to open a file that was e-mailed to me in the PDF format, when I click on it, the icon shows ''connecting'', but doesn't open the file are allow me to save it to my computer so I can open it with Adobe Reader, what else can I do??

My suppliers e-mail me a copy of my monthly statements which is so much better than using snail mail, but since I have started using Mozilla Firefox, I can't seem to get them to open nor will it allow me to save them to my computer. Do you have any idea why this would do this??

Have you looked at the [[Opening PDF files within Firefox]] Knowledge Base article? There are a couple of different PDF plugins listed in the article. I'd suggest you give those a shot. You might also want to take a look at [[Using the Adobe Reader plugin with Firefox]].

Is there any way to resume downloading part files if the download manager says itts complete, but the size of the file is 350 bytes?

I have been trying to download the trail for Adobe Master Collection CS5. I had to restart the download several times due to an issue with the download manager. Recently i got to about 2.5 GB out of 4.5, and firefox crashed and I could not resume the downloa0d. I have a part file at the directory, but its only 759MB. Any help on how to resume?

I dont really see the reason to try to restart the download if this problem is gonna occur all the time...

SC approved, but doesn't create followon doc and NO error in transfer

I am getting this strange issue. My cart is approved and i am expecting follow on PO doc to be created.
However no PO is created and strangely when i checked there is no error related to Error in Transfer too.
checked monitors and no info there on this sc.
How come SC is not even resulted in error in transmission?

All my settings are working fine. The issue is i am having this problem only with very few shopping carts. Rest of them working fine and createing followon documents. If not, they are showing up as error in transfer and can see the log in RZ20.
But with this cart, i don't see any alert in RZ20. There is no entry found in BBP_Document_tab also.
I tried to run Get_Status program and it this SC is showing as not transferred and then i tried to run REQREQ also..but its not working.
So i am wondering what could be the reason for not being transferred to backend.

2 - Photoshop loads until it gets to the normal window
3 - The file wasn't opened
4 - Go back to the desktop and double click the file
5 - Photoshop (that is at this time already open), opens the file and displays it on screen
Shouldn't it be opening the file after loading photoshop?

Vector. * triggers a "Problem" in Flash Builder but doesn't create an error during runtime.

In Flash Builder 4.6 I get an error for this:

trace(testVector.length);
Sometimes the error shows up in the "Problems" panel and pointing at the trace it says something about byte code. Other times it just shows the "?" symbol next to the trace command that says "Access of undefined property length".
When I test the movie there are no runtime errors.
Can someone explain this?

OK, I take that back, I read up on the docs and see that Math.random() returns 0 <= n < 1 where I thought it was <=1.
I also ran a test bed on the Math.random() thing and I see what your man means. My method of calculating the index gave a slight imbalance towards the end of letter distributions, but I can't see why!
Have reverted to yours for the below, on first run it looked good, but I am seeing a cluster around the original letter position? (EG: Follow position 0 for a, position 1 for b etc. and you will see they have a disproportionate number there.)
