IMAP Configured Voicemail in Outlook 2010 keeps locking up Outlook

Hi Everyone,
I was hoping for a little help on my situation. Here it is:
I have 3 users who have their voicemail set to go to their Outlook 2010 inbox that are all on different machines.
One is on a Surface Pro, running windows 8.1 and Outlook 2010
One is on a Dell PC, running Windows 7 32-bit and Outlook 2010
One is on a Dell Laptop, running Windows 7 64-bit and Outlook 2010
All of these users have reported that when the click on their inbox for their voicemails, Outlook sits and goes to not responding. We have just pushed out some windows updates recently, has anyone heard of any recent Windows updates that have broken this feature for anyone else?

I just finished testing the Outlook 2010 connection.
I get it working with the following settings:
IMAP
imap.mail.me.com
port 993
SSL
SMTP
smtp.me.com
port 587
TLS
Use the "@me.com" part in you username.
(the smtp.mail.me.com is not responding to me)

Outlook 2010 keeps locking up and freezing - large mailboxes

I have an attorney customer who has 3 large Outlook pst's as follows:
main mailbox - 1.6GB
Archive mailbox - 14GB
another mailbox - 6GB
He keeps everything in the Inbox with thousands of items deep.In an ideal world he would like to keep all mailboxes open and accessible but when they are all open Outlook hangs constantly. I have ran scanpst on all the mailboxes and disabled all unneccessary addins but the issue persists.
He would be willing to pay for a solution if one is out there. Can you guys suggest anything where he can have access to all his email at once without Outlook freezing up?
His outlook is setup with 1 pop email account and he only accesses email on this one computer. I have tried using Xobni as well. Didn't help.

Reinstall Safari 5.0.6 for Leopard
Then restart your Mac. Try Safari.
If it crashes again, uninstall the Flash plugin then reinstall new > Troubleshoot Flash Player | Mac OS
Quit then relaunch Safari. From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Empty Cache
Right or control click the Safari icon in your Applications folder then click Get Info.
If the box next to: Open in 32 bit mode is selected, deselect, quit then relaunch Safari.

Outlook 2010 keeps prompting for password

Hi,
We use Exchange 2008 and Outlook 2010. For some reason, Outlook 2010 keeps prompting for password. My use entered the password and checked "Remember Password" box, but next morning when he logged in, he still got the prompt.
I removed the Outlook credential for Outlook listed under Password Credential in Control Panel, but still no help.
Please advise!

Hi Grace
1. Open Outlook 2010. Click File>Account Settings>Account Settings.
2. Click the E-mail tab, click the Exchange Online mailbox, click Change…
3. Click More Settings…. Click the Security tab, make sure the Always prompt for logon credentials box is unchecked.

Clicking a Phone Number from a voicemail in Outlook 2013

I was running Outlook 2010 and Lync 2013 on my Windows 8.1 machine. This was working great until I upgraded to Outlook 2013 (Office 365 Home). Now, when I click a phone number link at the bottom of a voicemail in Outlook 2013, I get this message
Microsoft Lync
We're sorry, but Lync has run into an error that is preventing it from working correctly. Lync will need to be closed as a result. Would you like us to repair now?
My options are "Repair Now", "Help" or "Close".
Clicking "Repair Now" or "Close" does nothing but close the dialog box. I've tried reinstalling Office 365 Home (Outlook) and Lync. Neither these has resolved the issue.

Why didn’t you use Outlook 2013 from Office 2013?
I didn’t test this scenario, please install Office 365 home and Lync 2013 on another computer to check if that works.

HT1349 iMatch keeps locking up iTunes as it tries to set itself up on my PC...

I am using iTunes, and trying to set up iMatch, and it keeps locking up iTunes when matching songs to the store and uploading my songs that are not in the store. It just won't finish and basically shuts down iTunes in the process... Apple online support keeps asking me for my serial #, but my main computer is a PC. I use an iphone and ipad to sync with my computer's itunes and thought iMatch might be the way to go to get everything together...

Office 2010 keeps deliver same email to pst

Hi,
I have a few users having Outlook 2010 keeps deliver the same email from exchange mailbox to local pst.
the email at exchange mailbox do not remove after delivered local pst which makes Outlook 2010 keeps sending same email to pst in loop. The workaround is delete the email from exchange manually to stop Outlook 2010 deliver to pst
Is there any patches can fix this issue

Hi,
As an initial troubleshooting step, I would suggest you to use scanpst.exe tool to scan and repair any errors in your PST file.

You might also want to create a new Outlook profile and have a try. For how to create an Outlook profile, please refer to:

Anyone help me to how to configure office 365 outlook on blackberry devices .
My customer is already using blackberry server for exchange 2007 .
So can i configure outlook for office 365 on existing blackberry devices or do i need to setup anything on blackberry server.

2. Create a user in BBCS
3. Set a Activation Password
4. Need to wait for 20 min
5. Configure the mail in BB device.

My Live ID Keeps Locking Out

In the last few days my Live ID keeps locking out. I get the error below.
Sign-in is blocked
Sign-in with <myliveid.com> is blocked for one of these reasons:
Someone entered the wrong password too many times.
If you signed up for this account through an organization, you might not be able to use it yet.
I am able to change the password but within minutes it locks out again. I have done this 6 times now in the last couple of days. It appears something is constantly trying to login to my Live ID account with the wrong password.
I have a Windows Phone and Windows 8 linked with this account as well. Is it possible that one or both of these are trying to connect to my account after a pw change and causing the lockout? This may have all started when I intentionally change the Live
ID password to solve an issue with OneDrive.

This has been driving me crazy for months now too. First, I thought it was an issue with Microsoft's system, so I ignored it since I only logged in sparingly. Then as I started using my login more often, I started to investigate. By going to hotmail.com
(outlook.com or https://account.live.com/Activity), I noticed that the false login attempts were coming for my office IP, Windows Platform and Internet Explorer. I narrowed it down to my PC, so after speaking with an MS rep. over chat. She suggested I clear
out my browser, which could be causing cred. issues. I cleaned out and reset everything in IE, and started using another browser exclusively, while checking my activity. It showed my successful logins with the browser but it also showed unsuccessful logins
from IE, even though I never used it, what?!
I have a Windows 8.1 Pro system with a local account, but some app must be doing this. So I investigated, first the Windows Store - have never entered an ID and it was still blank/inactive, then I tested Skype, which is always running, but it wasn't it.
Then I tested Outlook 2013, which is also always running and lo and behold, it's OUTLOOK! When the app is closed, there are no errors for hours at a time, when I open Outlook 2013, the errors come back every 25-40 min. intervals.
Here is the crazy part, I have disabled every single plugin, and I only have one Exchange account on Outlook, which is our own setup, which happens to be my live ID email but I don't know what could be trying to login, since I never linked anything with
my Live ID.
I am leaning to this being; 1) a bug, which needs to be documented and resolved or 2) Something sneaky of MS forcing Outlook 2013 to login to a Live ID account, through its new 'Office Account' system. Again, to be clear, I have never entered any 'Live ID'
credentials for Outlook 2013, so I don't know why it attempts a login and what password it pretends to be login in with.
Any feedback is appreciated.

If I sent emails , my sent items box does not synchronized.
This is really a bug, because I see more problems like this on internet.

Hi JMR,
Assuming you are referring to Outlook 2013 by "outlook 365 proplus". This is actually because Outlook 2013’s IMAP implementation has changed when compared to previous versions of Outlook.
While configuring the IMAP account, Outlook will talk to the IMAP server for the correct folders first. If Outlook 2013 can’t find the correct folder for the Sent Items in your mail server, it will create a folder which doesn’t sync with the mail server.
To sync the Sent Items folder with IMAP server, we can try to root the mailbox:
Go to FILE->Account Settings->Account Settings…
Double click on your IMAP account.
Click More Options… button, then Advanced tab
Type "Inbox" as the "Root folder path"

X2100 keeps locking up

Howdy,
Yeah, I hate these sorts of posts. 'My machine keeps locking and I don't know why.' Well, this is one of those.
I am trying to roll with rhel4u2 x86_64. The machine basicly does nothing accept run pulse/nanny (RedHat Cluster Suite) as a redundant backup. The machine will just freeze up every week or so. It has done so since I got it <img src="images/smiley_icons/icon_sad.gif" border=0 alt="Sad">
I tried to enable netdump, but it doesn't work when the machine locks. Nothing is coming to console and the keyboard is non-functional too when it looks. The locks are happening at different times of the day.
I downloaded the 1.1 supplemental CD and ran the memory diagnostics, which passed. Also upgraded the bios to v1.0.3
My current test is to try the rhel4u3 beta kernel and see if the machine stays up for a while. I dunno. In my next life, I will be a better sys admin. In this life tho, I could sure use the suggestions of others....

Michael, some of us have to adapt to the new demand for x64 systems and the OS it supports, I feel that way anyway. I think it will be useful for the forum users to try to help each other with Sun x64 systems. Also the other <i>Appliance</i> forum doesn't seem to be very active ( with answers at least ).
Daryl, RHEL 4 is supported on the X2100, I have a few questions for you:
Are you running a custom kernel? Have you managed to capture any logs around the time the event occurred? Another issue may be that the server could have it's SYN buffer flooded with spoof requests, I've noticed on earlier RHL ( 7.2 and 9 with 2.4 kernel ) that a machine being attacked in this way begins to lock and freeze up, especially when X and desktop GUI are running, any open port is a potential target. Is the machine on a public network? Can you get a new TTY by <i>Ctl Alt F2</i>? Before the system goes back into operation, configure syslogd to log to a remote host ( something running Solaris perhaps! ), this is a good way to capture any events just before the lock starts.

Firefox 4.0 keeps locking up and is slow to load pages

I just installed 4.0 this morning. Ever since, Hotmail is extremely slow to load, it keeps locking up or not responding.
I thought this was supposed to be faster and more streamlined?
Now, when I try to go back and install 3.6.13 it is no longer available. What gives? I want my old Firefox back.

since upgrading to OS lion, my mac book pro (2010 August) keeps freezing (non responsive, requires restart) when i turn on my mac and the system is trying to open apple mail. while apple mail is attempting to collect new mail, the macbook pro freezes. this happens every 2nd time i try to start up my computer. this only started happening after i upgraded to OS lion. please let me know what I need to do to fix this. being forced to restart every 2nd time i turn on my macbook pro has been very frustrating. not sure if apple mail is also the cause of my macbook pro for being very slow during start-up (on the occasion the computer doesn't freeze).

I am having similar 'freezing' problems with many programs (Mail, Safari, iTunes, etc.). I have done a clean install of Lion instead of an upgrade when it came out. Perhaps something went wrong with my install? I'm thinking about wiping and reinstalling.

My mac keeps locking up it s Power mac G5 Intel using 10.6.8 OS.X. I get no warning or error messages it just locks up and the only way to get it to work again is to depress power button and restart. Its random intermittent and incredibly frustrating. I do get some screen distortion from time to time and wondered whether it may be a graphics card issue or whether it could be solved with a complete system re-install and OS upgrade?

According to everymac.com, your Mac came with Tiger, 10.4.x and can't go any higher than Lion, 10.7.x.
It would have come with gray, machine specific disks. Since there's no reason to install 10.4.x first, and then Snow Leopard over that, just purchase a retail copy of Snow Leopard for $20. What you won't get with the retail version of SL is the iLife suite (Garage Band, iDVD, etc.) that were on the original bundled disks, but you can purchase iLife on Amazon pretty cheap, and get newer versions besides.
When you get Snow Leopard, you can boot to the DVD, erase the drive and install everything clean. Hopefully, you issue is only software, and not hardware related.
