IMAP messages redownloads after profile move

I have setup my IMAP account to syncronise to localfolders. I just migrated my profile from old machine to a new machine by copying the profiles folder. Once I start thunderbird all my setting address books are syncronised but thunderbird keeps downloading the messages already downloaded in the localfolder. I have over 25,000 emails and re-downloading them is not ideal.

Thank you for your answer. I followed the instructions of the section you mentioned. However, the local directory setting at the bottom of the Account Settings page was correct, the whole path pointed to the correct location of the messages. So, nothing to change.
The weird thing is that when I open Thunderbird the first time all the messages are there it is only when I go to a different folder that the messages disappear, including the ones I have just seen a second before.
If you have any other ideas ...

You can make a backup copy of the sessionstore.js file that stores session data.

Mac Mail move IMAP message to Exchange Folder

SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME THERE IS AN ANSWER OUT THERE!!!!???
I have most of my email accounts set up in Mac Mail (Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoo, Exchange (office365 hosted)).
When I try to move any of my messages from the first 3 accounts (all IMAP) to the Exchange folder I get the error "can't move...message".
How the heck are people copying/moving IMAP messages to exchange folders in Mac Mail????????????

I appreciate you taking the time to copy and paste boilerplate responses to increase your points in this forum, but I've already read all those support articles in depth; but you have barely read my post at all. Please don't guess a fix. Only someone with the latest versions of iMovie, iOS, iPhone, Yosemite, and MacBook Pro is qualified to troubleshoot this, because anyone would immediately see that the following option no longer exists:
Open iMovie on your Mac, and choose File > Import > iMovie for iOS Project.
Read my post before you reply: It clearly says in the title and within my post that I can neither export nor import through iTunes without receiving an error message. So your response neither solved my question nor helped me whatsoever.

When I download and try to install Thunderbird I get the message "Your Thunderbird profile cannot be loaded, it may be missing or inaccessible".

Because of a virus, I redownloaded Thunderbird 24.4.0 and it completed until trying to open Thunderbird when I get the message "Your Thunderbird profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible." I know the profile exists in a "recovered files" folder. I've tried to move it to the current Thunderbird folder but get the same message. I've tried to follow a Mozillazine article but it's too complicated. Is there any online help, such as chat or phone?

I think I have finally figured out how to reply to you. Even though your email says to reply to [email protected], that just goes into dead space.

Lost emails after iCloud move

after my move to iCloud I have lost all my .mac/.me emails on my powerbook that were not stored in folders yet how can i get them back??? HELP

Here is my last suggetion... you said you have TimeMachine... (and if you want you can ichat with me, my email is in my profile)...Open your time machine... according to this... http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=384972 your mail is stored in this file... I am thinking if your able to look... look only... looking.... not actually doing any restoring from this location.... just looking.... and if it is there.. (before consider to restore).then restore this folder from before you lost the email... that means you would have to first make a backup of this file, before actually recovering this file from timemachine. I am not comfortable with you restoring it, because if it not the correct thing, then this will make matters worse... wait to some one who knows more answeres.... but if your able to look with timemachine.... look only... then do that (not restore).

Cannot access firefox. Error message "your firefox profile cannot be loaded. It maybe missing or inaccessible"

This ocurred on my Dell Laptop, it seems, after several reset Firefox to Default. My Dell is an Inspriron/8600. I have removed Firefox and reloaded twice. What should Ido next.

Hi Bernard, normally, when doing a Reset, Firefox moves your old profile folder to the desktop (in a folder named Old Firefox Data), creates a new profile folder incorporating some of the data from your old profile, and updates a configuration file with the new profile folder name. It sounds as though this broke down somewhere along the way. Let's see whether it was that third step.
In order to ease the next few steps, please make sure that you can view hidden files and folders. This article has the steps:

To open your Firefox data folder, you can type or paste the following into either the Start menu Run box, Search box, or into the address bar of a Windows Explorer/My Computer window:

In the folder that loads, you should see a Profiles folder and a file named profiles.ini (it's a text file you can edit with Notepad).
Click into the Profiles folder to see whether you can find a semi-randomly-named folder. If you find it, click into it to confirm that it contains some files and isn't empty. If there is stuff there, let's work with it. Up in the address bar of Windows Explorer, select and copy the semi-random name of the folder, or you can make a note of it somewhere.
Return back up to the Firefox folder. Right-click>Edit the profiles.ini file and it should open in Notepad. You should see something like the following:

The part of Path after Profiles/ needs to match the name of the folder you copied or noted earlier. Go ahead and fix it and save the file.

It sounds to me like your Internal Hard Drive is failing.
I recommend you buy a new one, that is a good candidate for replacing the old one, but install it in an External enclosure and Install a fresh Mac OS X on it from the DVD. You can boot your Mac from any attached drive.
The new System can be used to get some work done, check your emails, and takes the pressure off resolving this immediately. You can also attempt to salvage files off the old drive if needed.
Once things seem to be working, then move the new drive inside the computer. Failures at this point may be due to bad cable, which has been a problem in some of these MacBooks.
Use security erase, write Zeroes, one pass, to re-write every block on the old drive. Any block discovered to be bad will be replaced with spares the drive holds in reserve for this purpose. If more than 10 blocks are pared on one pass, "Initialization Failed!" will be the result. Although you can try the erase again, there is some question whether you want to trust this drive with your precious data.

I have activated the material transaction interface and now the stock quantity has decreased.
I just wish to confirm some points in the creation of the new Order Type.
I have done the following setups:
Order Category: Mixed
Transaction type code: Order
Fulfillment Flow: Order Flow - Generic
Line workflow assignment: BO Line - Inventory Interface
Default return line type: Credit Only Line
Default order line type: BO Line - Inventory Interface
Plz confirm if the setups parameters are ok especially the Default return line type: Credit Only Line

Material should not goto quality stock after 105 movement

Hi Guys,
when we receive raw materials from vendor.
At present in SAP, after Gate Entry u2013 103 movement & Qty. Verification (release GR blocked stock u2013 105 mvmt.),
Item goes to under Quality and after Quality releases the same (321 movement), it transfers to xxx storage location (store).
For few items, we want the system to directly transfer the stock to xxx location immediately after 105 movement. Material has to skip under quality).
Can you please suggest the required settings need to be maintained.

There are two materials ,For one material is directly going to Unrestrited stock after 105 movement.
Settings:In QM tab of MM,Procurement Data:Tick was there in QMProc.active.When we click Inspection Setup,Inspection Type :01,Active check box was ticked.
Fro Second Material is directly going to quality after 105 movement.

Post to Inspection stock is ticked(Even though we removed it is not going to Unrestrited stock).
Apart from this is there any specific settings for these materials.
And also When they do the GR, 103 movement ,for one material when we check the log system displays the error message"xxx material is DOL item,pl enter the reason for movement.where we will mention that this material is DOL Item.

Send IDOC DESADV4.DELVRY03 after goods movement

I need to send an IDOC DESADV4.DELVRY03 when a goods movement type 951 is done. The IDOC is standard but I need to fill it manually, obviously, because there is no real delivery with data to fill it.
I think the steps are the following but I need a little help to do everything:
1 - Go to transaction NACE and for application 'ME' define a new output type. But how I do that? What are the steps here to generate a message when a goods movement type 951 is created?
2 - Now... I expect to have data in table NAST, for generated output messages, but I'm missing some configuration I think.
3 - In WE20 I define a partner profile for my IDOC, there I specify in Message control tab the application and message defined in NACE, and a Z process code defined by me in transaction WE41. That process code will be related with a Z function module to generate manually the IDOC.
As you can see, I have a bit knowledge about this but not enogh to finish it.

Deleted messages remove after one day (one week, one month) not working

Has anyone noticed that since the upgrade to iOS 7 automatic email cleanup does not seem to be working?
I have an IMAP email account set up with the following setting: Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars, [then tap the email account in question] > Account > Advanced > Deleted Messages Remove > After one week
I have had that configuration on my iPhone and iPad for a very long time, and it always deleted everything out of my deleted messages folder (which, on my system, is called Trash) that was older than one week. It would do this no matter when the message was actually deleted, and no matter whether I deleted it on my iPhone, my iPad, on a computer using Outlook, or through a web interface. (It actually would have been nice to retain a message I had just deleted for the one-week period in case I changed my mind; instead the way it worked was if I deleted a message that was received months ago, it would be removed from Trash almost right away. But it worked consistently.)
Now, since iOS 7, it does not appear to be cleaning out that folder at all. Has anyone else noticed this?
I'm not sure if it's not removing any messages, or if it's just not removing messages I delete on another platform (like Outlook). So today I've done a test with a specific message that I will watch over the next little while to see how it works. But in the meantime I thought I'd ask if anyone else has noticed this, and if there is a solution.

Is this working properly for people? It's not working for me on either my IMAP account or on an iCloud email accout, so I think iOS 7 broke something here. I've submitted a bug report on the feedback form, but it would be nice to know I'm not alone.

Backup IMAP messages?

What is a good strategy for backing up mail messages (and mailboxes) stored on an IMAP server, such as .mac? We have quite a few mailboxes, and thousands of messages for our small business.
We have a few computers with synchronized access to the same .mac collection of mailboxes. A concern is that, in the event a mailbox or message on .mac's IMAP server is accidentally deleted, the deletion would be copied to all the other machines.
So we would like to keep a backup.

My backup scheme for IMAP boxes (in panther OS X 10.3) is this:
I drag an IMAP folder to the "on my mac" section, which appears to copy the messages in the folder, so they now exist in the IMAP folder hierarchy and on the 'on my Mac' hierarchy. I then drag the folder to the desktop, where it is saved in mbox format. I then delete the new folder I made, as I don't want both copies cluttering up the database.
When I want to look for something, I import the saved mbox, or a folder full of mboxes, and they are automatically put in a folder called 'Import'. When I have found what I want, I copy it to another folder in the mail program, and delete the rest of the imported mailboxes.
(However, Andreas Amann says you can't import mbox files in Tiger so this scheme may already be out of date if you don't want to use his work around.)
another alternative, described by Fernando Schlot (Jan 15):
Select all the messages in a mailbox. Choose 'save as' and choose the format you want. This saves a single pdf file with all the messages one after the other. This file can be searched as a normal file in the finder.
The pdf format is smaller (3 mb for 140 messages, against 4 mb for the mbox format) but they can't be reimported.
A third alternative (Schlot again) is to make a new user (call it something like Mailarchive2005, so you remember) and copy the ~Library/mail and ~Library/preferences folder to this new user. Now all your current mails should be in this new user space as well as your normal one. Go to the Mail Preferences/General, and switch 'checking new mail' to 'manually'. (This is to avoid current mail being downloaded automatically into your archive as you search for an old message.)
Now you can clean out all the mails from your normal mail programme in your main user space and start afresh. When you want to find a mail from last year, just switch to the Mailarchive2005 user space, look for the email and redirect it to yourself. Switch back to your main user space and download the mail. Alternatively you can save it as a pdf to your hard disk, top level, where it will be accessible to both user spaces.
I used this system with Outlook Express, where you can make new identities within the programme. Each year I made a new identity.

Why can I not redownload my previous movies purchased on iTunes after Apple announced last night that you can know apparently do????

Maybe you don't have iTunes 10.6? Maybe you are not in the USA? Maybe it is one of the ones that isn't available?

Recover deleted imap messages from os x server

Ok so my work email is IMAP on mac mail (imac lion) running from a mac server 10.6.8 snowL.
My settings on my imac mac mail are so that deleted IMAP messages are removed from the mac server after 30 days.
but how do i get these messages back/restore? they are not in my mac mail trash? is it done server side?

Now I've testd all available clients. None of them can access fiel sharing on the server:
10.6.8
10.7.4
10.8
Therefore I assume that it isn't an authorization problem.
If I do "telnet steve.local 548" on the server itself, I get a connection. So the server must be running.
The firewall has been disabled by "sudo pfctl -d".
The 10.6.8 client can even do screen sharing. So there must be an IP route.
I'm still clueless now.
