IMAP Sync issues between Mavericks and iOS

Hi,
I have an iMac, Macbook Pro, iPad and iPhone.
I have IMAP mail setup on all.
Sending and Receiving works on all devices.
Anything I send from my iMac or Macbook pro shows up in the sent folder on all devices.
Anything I send from my iPad or iPhone only only show up in the sent folder on the respective device it was sent from.
Any drafts I save from my iPad or iPhone totally diappear!
Any messages I mark as junk on my iPhone or iPad I am told i can't be done
What am I doing wrong to make everything being in proper sync with each other?

I considered using icloud drive, but Apple (and many outside sources) say not to use icloud drive unless I have Yosemite installed. (I have old apps that run on Mavericks [photoshop elements 6 among them] that may not run on Yosemite, so I'm not eager to upgrade.) The page you sent me to states that syncing between specific apps on iphone and mac on Mavericks is possible. That's what I'm looking for. I prefer to sync locally, via itunes, but if I have to use icloud I will.
I think I'm asking a dumb question, but I really have tried to find the information and all I've found refers to menus and options that don't exist in my configuration.

Issues syncing apps between itunes and ios devices - changed itunes store

I have had an iTunes store account for several years with the same apple ID. Initially I connected that apple ID to the Belgian store and about 2 years ago I changed to the UK store, but still with the same apple ID.
Since I have several IOS devices, I prefer to use iTunes to update any apps I have downloaded and then sync them onto all my IOS devices using my local network rather than downloading accross the internet each time. When I view the apps in my library it says a number of updates are available (right now there are 9). but when I click on the button to go to the store and retrieve the updates - itunes store says "No Updates are currently avaialable" and suggests I sign in with a different ID. However, I don't have a different ID.
This seems to be that any of the apps I puurchased in the Belgian store prior to switch to the UK will not update. For a while, as a resolution, I was able to download updates on one or more of my IOS devices sucesfully whicever store I purchased them from and then when I synced back to iTunes, it updated them in the library. Wasn't very pretty but it worked.
Now after upgrading to iTunes 11, although I can still update the apps on my IOS devices, when I sync it no longer transfers the updates to the iTunes library - I haven't had iTunes 11 long enough to determine if it's related to the same store switch issue or if it's a general problem.
Anybody got any similar experiences or solutions to consolidate all my purchased apps (which ever store) into one, so updating is transparenet again?

ICloud not syncing contacts between mac and iOS 8 iphone

Contacts not syncing between imac under Mavericks and iPhone 5 under IOS 8. When trying to delete the iCloud account from the phone I get a verification error. Yet when i use a browser I can successfully verify that the appleid and password are correct. Any ideas on how to fix this short of totally wiping the iPhone and starting over?

Then I think your best option is to contact Apple ID Support, upon speaking to an operator you should explain that your problem is related to your Apple ID, this way you will not be charged for assistance, even if you don’t have an AppleCare plan.

Sync issues between Mac and Mobile Me

Hi all,
I'm having issues syncing between MobileMe and my Macbook Pro. It used to work perfectly, but I haven't been able to get it to sync since early August. All the changes I make between my iPhone and MobileMe work fine, but they just wont update with any changes I make on my Macbook. Equally, changes made on iPhone or MobileMe don't show on my laptop anymore.
I've tried force syncs and resetting sync data (and transferring info from MobileMe) but none work. Is there anything else I can try?

You should ask in the MobileMe forums as this forum (iSync) has nothing to do with syncing Macs to MobileMe.

Ical sync issue between Iphone and Ipad

I seem to be having issues syncing events between my Iphone to my Ipad. icloud is enabled on both and it appears that all the calendars are enabled for syncing. Any help with this would be appreciated.

I'm having this issue as well. I have tried the add new account as was mentioned in other posts (going through the Advanced settings and changing the server location), but it appears that I would be duplicating accounts, and "that is not supported". I also am having issues with alerts not going to me, but to my husband (who has a google.com email). When I check the Address Book to see what the main contact card is, it shows my information, yet I am not receiving alerts and my email is not an option to select. When I changed my Apple Id, he received the confirmation email (as did I). What do I need to do to: 1) get alerts to come to me and not my husband and 2) sync my iCal with macbook, iPhone, and iPad? ICloud Sync issues between iPhone and MacBook

I have a peculiar problem. I have iCloud turned on for Contacts, Calendar and Notes between my iPhone 6P and my MacBookPro running OS X 10.10.2. If I make a change or add an entry on the MBP, it does not show up on the iPhone until I make a change to something on the iPhone, then the iPhone changes go to the MBP, and the MBP changes then, and only then, appear on the iPhone.
I have the same iCloud account on both devices. Very confused. (I have not done anything regarding Family Sharing, and I do have the iCloud drive turned on.)
Any clues?

Curious... Syncing Issues Between iPhone and iTunes?

Just curious... the past several months I have noted various concerns around "syncing" between iPhone and iTunes... yet don't recall any mention of whether it occurs between MAC OS or WIN hardware (desktops and or laptops). Furthermore, I am interested if anyone can comment whether these sync issues occurs mostly on TIGER or LEOPARD OS when accessing iTUNES. (Guess I should pay more attention to the noted OS field.
I ask because I am considering an upgrade to LEOPARD by end of month and don't want to jeopardize my syncing to my iPhone if it is a LEOPARD related issue. Thank you

I'm running Leopard and I've never experienced any sync issues.

Which particular issue are you referring to?
Before installing a major OS X upgrade such as Leopard over a previous OS X version, it is a good idea to create or update your existing backup of important data stored on your computer's hard drive - including your iTunes library, photos, contact info, calendar events, documents, etc. I've never experienced any problems installing a major OS X upgrade over a previous OS X version, but I always update my computer's backup immediately beforehand to be on the safe side.

Syncing issues between outlook and Ical

My ICAL and Outlook 2011 are not syncing. ICAL seems stuck. Have been the entire gamut with Microsoft and it seems ICAL is the issue.

also- ICAL has no problem syncing to the phone and I sync only when I need to manually.

Major sync issues between iphone and itunes + outlook

I have an iphone 5, mistakenly pushed the button to update to ios7, got a new window pc with win8 and office13, and mistakenly again got updated itunes 11.1.3...after many years of pretty seamless itunes/outlook calendar/contacts/podcasts/ etc etc syncing experiences, now itunes doesn't sync playlists with my phone, constantly wipes out my podcasts even though i chose "no sync with podcast", doesn't sync into outlook calendar/contacts/etc at all. i tried to roll back to itunes 10.7 (used the tips from this forum), but it says my phone won't work with versions older than itunes 11. it's like nobody's able to talk to anyone any more. what's going on????

Syncing PDFs between iBooks and iOS devices

Hello everyone,
I just ordered an iPad Air. I wanted one for a long time, and one of the things that I am most after is the ability to read PDF documents anywhere I want. I have been organizing my eBooks and PDFs in iBooks, and I was under the impression that this meant I would be able to see the collection on my iOS devices and download them to those devices when I needed them. But I guess it's not that simple, is it?
As I don't yet have the iPad with me, I have been trying to sync what I see in iBooks to my iPhone 4S, but I only see one mqtching book on both the Mac and the iPhone, and that's one book purchased from iBooks itself. Then there's one free ebook that was also downloaded inside iBooks, from the computer, but does not show in the iPhone. Adding to this, none of the PDFs I have organized inside iBooks will show up on the iPhone.
Am I doing something wrong? Any of you successfuly organizing ebooks and PDFs in iBooks and seeing them on your iOS devices? What should I try?
I'm on the latest Mavericks update and all the mentioned apps are updated. Also, the iPhone is running the latest update of iOS7.

Well, nevermind. It suddenly decided to start syncing, somehow! Not sure what I did to make it work though.
Anyway, this is still not what I was expecting. The only way to synchronize what I have in iBooks with the iOS devices, is through iTunes, and I need to be in the same network, right?
I thought this would be something more like iTunes Match, where I could have all my ebooks and PDFs up in the Cloud and download them to my devices whenever I needed them.
Do you know if there's any app providing this type of system?

Icloud document sync issue between ipad and mac

So was very excited when mountain lion could sync my spreadsheets (numbers) documents with my iPad, but having a weird issue (I think).
So I took one of my spreadsheets from my Mac, and moved to iCloud. Opened it up in Numbers (Mac), made a few changes, and saved it.
Now I go on my iPad, I see it. I open it up - great.
Now for some reason, I have a duplicate spreadsheets named 'Untitled'. I have no idea how it got there, I am not sure what happens if I delete it (or if I should).
Anybody know whats up with this?

When you place a document into iCloud from your Mac and then try to open it on a mobile device, you will be given the option of opening the original document or opening a copy. It sounds to me that you have chosen to open a copy.

HT1386 Sync issues between iPhone and Outlook

My contacts are not syncing over to my iPhone, even though it says they will do so automatically. I also now have duplicates and triplets of the contacts. Any ideas on how to correct both of these issues?

I have experienced the same problem with Outlook 2007 and the most recent i phone purchased late last year. Have you had a succesful reply as i do not want to delete my duplicates just to have the same problem repeat itself again?

New Apple ID email has caused sync issues between iPad and iPhone

I changed the email of my Apple ID and made sure to save photos and delete old iCloud backups. The calendar noon get syncs but instead eats any new events. Photos from my iPad appear on my iphone but it doesn't work the other way around. Instead my iPad still has an iCloud photo album from my previous Apple ID email. I've made sure that my email is updated on both devices and that everything syncs to iCloud and has been recently backed up. I even deleted the new backups and did it again. I turned off photo steam and turned it back on. Any help would be greatly appreciated. One more detail, even in iTunes, I do not have photo albums being synced from my computer. I just have photo stream with iCloud.

I'm not sure what caused the issues but backing everything up and restoring both devices has fixed photo stream as well as notes/calendar icloud issues. It even syncs to my computer again! The icloud photo album from the old apple id email is also gone.

Google cal sync issues between mac and iPhone?

Just noticed this morning that my iphone is not syncing with my mac calendar and google calendar, but only for past events with just one specific calendar? I seemed to have lost all the previous events up through today for that specific cal? New events seem to be created OK, but if I change the event to a different calendar on my iphone, it duplicates it on my mac and google calendar showing the event in bith the original cal and the one I swithched it to. I checked google sync and cal div and all the appropriate calendars are selected. I did also have icloud cal selected on my iphone which I unchecked. I just updated to 10.8.2 on my mac a few days ago and it got hung up during install...had to hard restart the mac. Dont know if that could have something to do with it? Anyone else having issues with this?
