IMAQ 'ChunkSelector' error 0xBFF69012 in MAX

I have a Point Grey Blackfly GigE camera that I am trying to access via NI MAX and then LabVIEW.
The camera itself seems to be working okay - I can get an image stream in Point Grey's native software. When I try to run it in MAX however, I get the error shown in the image below.
I am not familiar with this particular error, so I'm not sure which settings I need to play with to get the value in range.
Has anyone else seen this error before?

Hi there,
I found a couple resources you can follow to troubleshoot this problem:
1. Troubleshooting GigE Vision Cameras
2. How Do I Resolve "Error: 0xBFF69012 Attribute value is out of range” When Connecting to a GigE Camer...
3. Why do I get Error 0xBFF69012 "Attribute Value is Out of Range" with my Basler GigE Camera?
I could not find any other case related but hopefully this information will help you clear the error.

Sometimes, camera firmware is the problem.  Sometimes, the camera XML file is the problem.  Sometimes, the way that IMAQdx tries to force settings onto the camera is the problem.
    Things to try:
    1. Check with the manufacturer, and ask if new firmware is available for the camera.  If the firmware cannot be updated by the end user, you will need to get a Returm Merchandise Authorization number, and send the camera in for the upgrade.
    2. Edit the XML file that was downloaded from the camera, and remove all references to CameraAttributes::AutoFunction::AutoTargetGrayValue.  Do not alter, or remove the zip file that resides in the same location as the XML.  If you do, IMAQdx will request a fresh copy from the camera, and overwritew your changes.  You can find the XML file in C:\Users\Public\Documents\National Instruments\NI-IMAQdx\Data\XML
    3. Edit the camera .icd file in C:\Users\Public\Documents\National Instruments\NI-IMAQdx\Data, and remove the reference to CameraAttributes::AutoFunction::AutoTargetGrayValue.

  • IMAQ Read File error -1074396159

    Hi NI,
I am getting "IMAQ Read File" error -1074396159 when trying to read a large image.  I get this error when trying to read a ~400MB image on a very clean (not many extraneous applications) Windows 7 computer with 4GB or RAM.  I tried this on two other not very clean Windows 7 computers with 4GB of RAM and 2GB of RAM respectively.  On the latter two computers I do not get this error.  I found this knowledgebase which explains one possible cause of this error.  Are there any other causes for this error?  Are there any workarounds?
    Thanks,
    Jonathan-LV

That KB is incorrect, as the memory only needs to be virtually contiguous inside the process address space, not physically contiguous in RAM. This is not affected by how many programs are loaded (with the very slight exception that some read-only pages of DLLs can be shared cross-process in certain cases). This is really a function of how fragmented the memory space is in the process itself. The problem is that a normal 32-bit app on 32-bit Windows only has 2GB of virtual memory space. 500MB is 25% of the entire space. DLLs tend to get loaded scattered throughout the memory space for various reasons and other memory allocations that have different lifetimes cause fragmentation. The number of multi-hundred-MB chunks available is very small in a large app like LabVIEW.
    Some options to help:
-Moving to a 64-bit OS (still using 32-bit LabVIEW) will change that 2GB address space to 4GB with no changes to your app
-Moving to both a 64-bit OS plus 64-bit LabVIEW will change that 4GB address space to 8TB (virtually unlimited)

    Hi,
We found out that the problem should be LBR SSL handshake failed.
LBR sends a SSL handshake every 2 seconds, and Oracle AS couldn't handshake with it.
Our LBR vender told us that is a standard SSL handshake, and the problem should be the application server.
We have tried the health check with sslh and tcp but to no avail.
Does anyone have any Oracle AS configuration experience of the SSL handshake with LBR.
Note that our LBR is Alteon 2208.
    Thanks.

Do a clean reinstall and download a fresh Firefox copy from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html and save the file to the desktop.
Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.<br />
Don't remove personal data when uninstalling.
It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
You can skip the step to create a new profile, that is not necessary for this issue.
    See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Standard_diagnostic_-_Firefox#Clean_reinstall

  • Getting error while taking MAX DB trans log backup.

    Hi,
I am getting error while taking trans log backup of Maxdb database for archived log through data protector as below,
    [Critical] From: OB2BAR_SAPDBBAR@ttcmaxdb "MAX" Time: 08/19/10 02:10:41
Unable to back up archive logs: no autolog medium found in media list
But i am able to take complete data and incremental backup through data protector.
I have already enabled the autolog for MAX DB database and it is writing that log file directly to HP-UX file system. Now i want to take backup of this archived log backup through data protector i.e. through trans log backup. So that the archived log which is on the file system after trans log backup completed will delete the archived logs in filesystem.  So that i don;t have to manually delete the archived logs from file system.
    Thanks,
    Subba

    Hi Lars,
    Thanks for the reply...
Now i am able to take archive log backup but the problem is i can take only one archive file backup. Not multiple arhive log files generated by autolog at filesystem i.e /sapdb/MAX/saparch.
I have enabled autolog and it is putting auto log file at unix directory i.e. /sapdb/MAX/saparch
And then i am using the DataProtector 6.11 with trans log backup to backup the archived files in /sapdb/MAX/saparch. When i start the trans backup session through data protector it uses the archive stage command as "archive_stage BACKDP-Archive LOGBackup NOVERIFY REMOVE" If /sapdb/MAX/saparch has only one archive file it will backup and remove the file successfully. But if /sapdb/MAX/saparch has multiple archive files it gives an error as below,

    i am getting following Error
RFC_ERROR_COMMUNICATION: connect to SAP Gateway failed
Max no of 100 conversaction exceed.
    please suggst me the needful??
is this JCO-Destination error? or some thing Else??
    Thanks
    narpal

    Hi Narpal,
By default Portal allows 100 simultaneous instant messaging sessions. But this number can be increased.
    Navigate to
System Administration -> System Configuration -> Collaboration -> Real Time Collaboration (RTC) -> RTC Engine -> RTCEngine
    - Switch to Advanced Mode
    - Modify MaximumChatSessions parameter and set to 500
    - Restart the Portal Server
The problem should be resolved then.

  • "an unknown internal condition has occured" error msg in MAX; fieldpoint module

    Hi All,
I'm trying to resolve repeated 33162 errors on my Labview system (looks like it's a problem communicating with fieldpoint modules).
I ran the MAX program to try and browse the fieldpoint controllers in the remote systems node, clicking on several of them caused
a delay then the error msg. "an unknown internal condition has occured. Possible cause unrecoverable operating system error", see
attached screenshot.  I should be able to browse the devices under the remote systems node, correct?

For any readers, I was able to solve the problem.  I had to reset one of my fieldpoint modules then the problem went away.  Must have been a communication problem between the PC and the fieldpoint module, so I don't see this error anymore.

  • How to fix error -50010 in MAX 4.0 self-test of PCI-6221-37?

Hello Tom or anyone who could help
This is a continuation of my previously posted problems getting my PCI-6221-37
    card to work.
I reformatted the hard disk and reinstalled Windows XP Pro on the computer.  Then
    I re-installed NIDAQ 8.0 with LabVIEW 7.0, 7.1, and 8.0 support.  Now MAX
opens in a reasonable period of time and recognizes the PCI-6221-37 card.  When I
run the self-test option, it replies with an error -50010.  "The specified offset is out of
range for read operations.  The operation could not be completed as specified"
    Any ideas?
    Halden

    Hi Halden-
Let's continue our discussion here.  I am in contact with our software engineers to help diagnose this problem.  If you could provide a screenshot of the error in the other thread, it would be a huge help.  Thanks a lot-

  • Camera problem: Error 0x80004005 on MAX

    Hi there,
    I have a Basler  acA2000-340kc, and it's not working on a Windows 7, 64 bits computer.
I believe the NI-IMAQdx driver is properly installed, but the camera apperas on NI MAX with a red circle with white X on it as Basler GenICam Source, displaying Error 0x80004005. The error coded passed into imgShowError is unknown.
I can't really find the origin of this problem.
Thanks a lot for your help.

    It's really strange,
The camera is on (green LED light), and I'm actually getting some response from it, as I can adquire frames, which depend on the amount of light (I send you one example).
Nevertheless I;m not sure this is what I shoulod get. How can I control the parameters concerning the camera (exposition time, frame size...)?
The error appears in LabView when I first use a code, then it doesn't appear again, and keeps on adcquiring frames like the one I send you...

  • Phoenix 1280 USB camera gives IMAQ USB Init error?

We're trying to use a Phoenix PC-1280 USB video camera with either Labview or the Vision Assistant. In both cases we get an error in the IMAQ USB Init.vi (eg, "IVA Acquisiition Tools palette.vi was stopped at node 0x140 of subVI IMAQ USB Init.vi"). We have the latest version of labview and the vision module. The Mutech people are being totally useless, but I suspect the problem is in their driver which is supposed to use DirectShow and should be compatible. Before we toss this $1000 camera in the trash, can someone suggest a quick fix? ...or even a slow one
PS -- it's not the language problem, we're all in english

    Hi Cyndeigo,
One thing to check is to see if your camera is being recognized
by LabVIEW.  One way to do this is to use
the USB enumerate cameras.vi.  If this is
sending back the camera name, then make sure you are connecting the USB Init.vi
as shown in the attachment.  If the USB
enumerate cameras.vi isn’t feeding back any data then there is probably something
wrong with the driver.  I hope this
    helps.   Keep me posted.
    Regards,
    GG

  • Error 1055 OA_Get Max Axis Dispaly Value.vi - OUT Orbit Plot (Unfiltered).vi

    Hello to Everyone,
I am trying to use OA Orbit.vi, but i having trouble, this error message is displayed: Error 1055 OA OA_Get Max Axis Dispaly Value.vi -> OA Orbit Plot (Unfiltered).vi. Is there any solution?
    LabVIEW 8.5 is used.
The way how is connected, followed a LabVIEW Order Analyses Toolkit User Manual:
    - signal from tachometer is input to OAT Analog Tacho Procces.vi, output Speed Profile is input for Oat Orbit Plot,OAT Convert to Even Angle Signal.vi
    - signal from two proxymity probes is scaled to EU units with SVL Scale Voltage EU.vi
    - scaled signal is input to OAT Convert to Even Angle Signal.vi to get Even Angle Signal
    - Even Angle Signals (from two sensors) is input to Oat Orbit Plot.vi
    - output Even Angle Position Info from OAT Convert to Even Angle Signal.vi is connect with Oat Orbit Plot.vi
    Thanks.
    Best rigards,
    Nandor Spacek

    Hi Nandor,
    Welcome to the NI forums!
I am not sure that I fully understand your vi based on your description, so I would kindly ask you to create a VI Snippet from the code in question, and embed it in your reply forum post as a picture. This is the recommended best practice when discussing code. Alternatively you can always attach the .vi itself to your post.
Your LabVIEW version 8.5 is fairly dated, did you make sure that you are using a compatible version of the Order Analysis toolkit? You can check the versions of your software in MAX, or by generating a MAX report.
Also, please post a screenshot of the error message you are getting. Sometimes you can also just hit Ctrl+C when you have the error message active, and that will copy the error message to the clipboard so you can post it here.
