IMatch is not matching all of my music

I can not match up all of my music in iMatch.

Sounds like you need to turn on the iCloud Status column in the iTunes browser so you can see the status of the tracks. Pull down View > View options and select the box for iCloud Status.
BTW, music purchased from the iTunes store will, generally, not be "uploaded" since it is purchased from the store. It will be categorized as "purchased" and not count against the 25K track limit. The majority of music in your library purchased from Amazon, ripped from CDs, or from other sources will me "matched" which are also not uploaded files. Any tracks which are not "purchased" or "matched" will be "uploaded" (which you will be able to see after you enable the iCloud Status column).
As Keith said, this behavior is to be expected. Most people experience an 80-90% successful "match" rate with the remainer of their music being "uploaded." If you are expecting a 100% success rate you will be disappointed.

The muisc I have in my i-Touch does not match up with the music list in my Mac, therefore have issues syncing.  Is there anyway to keep all those songs without losing some of it?

Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not a backup device and media transfer was designed for you maintaining a master copy of your media on a computer which is itself properly backed up against loss. Syncing is one way, computer to device, updating the device content to the content on the computer, not updating or restoring content on a computer. The exception is iTunes Store purchased content.
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1848 - only media purchased from iTunes Store
For transferring other items from an i-device to a computer you will have to use third party commercial software. Examples (check the web for others; this is not an exhaustive listing, nor do I have any idea if they are any good):

You are trying to find a loophole to circumvent a basic rule that prohibits the transfer of purchased content from one Apple ID to another.
Content tied to an Apple ID are bound to that Apple ID forever. You can not merge or trade accounts. Well, not (officially) anyway...

  • My iPod is not syncing all of my music?

When I connect my ipod to itunes it does not sync all of my music over to the ipod. I know the songs on my itunes is not the problem because they have been synced on to my ipod before it stopped working. A small portion of the songs sync over, but most of them dont. Please help...

Is there an error message, stating that these songs will not be downloaded because they can't be played on an iPod. Normally due to wrong type or conversion to MP3.
Another cause is your Antivirus slowing down the sync and causing a timepout.
My suggestion, for a smooth sync operation.
    Disconnect your PC from Internet.
    Stop your Antivirus
    Sync your iPod
After Sync complete, eject safely from iTunes
    Start back your Antivirus
    Connect your Internet.
    Good Luck!

  • All of a sudden my IPhone will not play all of my music

All of a sudden my IPhone will not play my music.  I upgraded to ios5 awhile back and everything was fine in fact it was fine over a week ago now when I go to play it only shows the album art and the songs do not play. Also when the songs it wants to play (it's like it has a mind of it's own) play the album art and songs do not match up.  The majority of the songs are purchased from ITunes if that helps.  Thanks for your help!

I tried unsyching my music then resyncing as suggested in another post and I still have this problem.  I accidently reset all settings and I am wondering if this has anything to do with it, everything was fine until I did that.  Now the only thing it is syncing is the music I ripped and loaded none of my purchased music.  Very frustrating

  • Can not See All of my Music Library on the play list

I accidently moved my music library (My documents/My music/my itunes...)
When I moved it back, iTunes does not see all the song (over 2000). It only see the purchased music. I can use the Add to Library function (In the File menu) and add each song, song by song and I have added a few dozen songs back to the play list. So all the music is there, in the directory, Just can not get iTunes to recogize them.
ANY suggestions to adding the whole library back at once.
    Thanks

Do you at least have the little ! (exclamation point) next to the "missing" songs?
I just had the same thing happen to me, but mine occurred simply by upgrading to the latest version of iTunes... in the process it "lost" about half of my music.
I simply unchecked "Keep iTunes Music folder organized" under prefrences/advanced tab.. hit "OK", then went back in and re-checked it, hit OK and iTunes began "organizing" my library and miraculously iTunes found all of the missing music.
There are some decent articles about moving your iTunes library on the support site. They don't always work as advertised, but you're pretty much stuck with My Documents/My Music/iTunes on Windows.
You may be able to reverse things by following those instructions as well.

  • Music Match will not match most of my music.  It is simply ordinary music.

Many of my songs won't match.  If i dig out the CD and reload it onto my Windows 7 PC, the songs match perfectly.  But I did not think I should have to do that.  I thought Music Match would do this for me.

As I mentioned in my last post, Music Match has been driving me crazy.  So I worked on it for a while and came up with a partial solution.  It turns out that my iTunes list has many duplicates, which I believe arise because I put the same song in multiple playlists.
So I looked at a playlist on my PC that had a Cloud with a line through it and identified the songs that were not matched.  Then, one by one, I went to the Music list at the top left in iTunes and filtered for the song that was not matched.  Turns out that about 75% of the time there was a matched version of the song, along with several duplicates and errors.  I could move the matched version into my playlist and delete the unmatched version.
About 25% of the time, there was no matched version.  So I right clicked on a version marked Ineligible and created an ACC Version.  It takes a while for iTunes to accomplish this, but for most of the songs I was looking for, it worked.
Once I got rid of the loathsome little cloud next to the Playlist name, the Playlist moved immediately to my iPad2 and iPhone.
I would have thought that Apple might have explained this somewhere on their site.  Maybe I have missed it.  It sure is not elegant – but I was able to go for a run this morning using my newest favorite playlist, even though it contains a number of old songs.

  • Not reading all of my music

iTunes doesn't read or.. add all of the music to my library.. when i try to add files or folders it ends up saying half way through the search/copy process that iTunes has encountered an error and needs to close.. i go back in and open up iTunes and more than half of my music has the "missing file" exclamation point to the left of it. The one where you try and play the file and you recieve a message asking if you want to try and locate the missing file.
    It's a little ridiculous.

    bumpppp

  • Why did iTune Match not upload all of my music?

Why do some of the songs on my phone appear as gray and not selectable to pull from the cloud?  I would understand if it was whole albums that did not upload, but it is very random as to which ones are there and which ones are not.  For example, I am sometimes missing 6 out of 10 songs on 1 album.  So what made 4 of the songs work, but the other 6 not work?  The ones that did not go to the cloud play on my computer fine, so I know they were locatable on my end.  I did see that some of the songs that did not go to the cloud were pointing to the wrong folder on my computer, so I fixed those.  I went ahead and started the iTunes Match process over again.  I am hoping this was the right thing to do.  I thought maybe the upload just failed somewhere in the middle of the process.  Any assistance you can provide to me in this matter would be most helpful.

    Hi Wartman73,
If some of your songs are not appearing in iTunes Match, I would first give this article a run through to see if that resolves the issue:

    Hello reneep44,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
These two articles explain what iCloud backs up and how to manage the storage.

    Here’s what iCloud backs up:

  • Did not get all my purchased music from music store.

i was downloading music i purchased form the music store next thing i dont know why it stoped before the entire album, & can i finish where i left off with the purchased not gotten songs

    Hi,
    Sure.
To manually initiate a resumable download (music) simply choose Advanced > Check for Purchases.
After you choose Check for Purchases, iTunes will then ask you to log into your iTMS account. Type in your username and password and then click Check.
If there is any purchased content that did not completely download, content will start to download from where it left off. You will see the status in the iTunes display.

  • My iPod touch is not synching all of my music in my library, even though everything is checked

I don't know how to fix it

What exactly happens when you try to sync?
Was the iPod previous synced to another iTunes library/computer?
Have you successfully synced from this iTunes library/computer before?
If so have you done anything like update iTunes on the computer since it last successfully synced?
Do the songs play in iTunes?
Does any media now sync to the iPod?
