IMatch locks up on Ipad2 (iOS 5.1)
I updated to 5.1, now iMatch is locking up on me once the screen goes into power saving mode. So if I start playing a song, then leave the iPad untouched for a few minutes, the screen goes dark but the song still plays. Once I wake up the machine, the song will finish, but no other song will play. I can navigate to other artists/songs, etc....but it doesn't play.
I'm on Wi-fi and everything else (email, safari, apps) are receiving a strong signal and functioning properly.
I've rebooted, quit/restarted the app. Nothing.
Anyone else having this problem?

Forgotten Restrictions Passcode Help
You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.

Is there an app to find duplicate photos on my ipad2 ios 7.04
I have many photos stored on my ipad and probably through sheer incompetence have managed to produce an awful lot of duplicates.
There seem to be several apps to identify such duplicates so that they may be deleted easily but I can only find apps designed for Mac users.(or am I being thick yet again?)
Does an equivalent app exist that I may use on my ipad2 ios 7.04 ?
There are far too many pics for a manual operation.
Would appreciate any suggestions.
Thank youThanks for that, but I only have a very old, decrepit PC which is expected to expire at any minute. I've had my ipad for nearly 2years now and my thinking was that I could manage with that alone - not replacing the PC at all.
In general this has worked well and I really love the ipad.
The only thing that I found difficult to get to grips with was excel. I've been using the OfficeHD app and that has worked well up to a point but I have now succumbed and invested in a surface tablet, mainly to get around the excel problems.
Sadly the Surface too, does not appear to have an app to hunt out the errant duplicates. Wasn't planning to load my pics onto it anyway as the ipad handles them very well in general.
All this could probably be worked around if I was more competent but a magic app would really be my preferred option!
If you have any further thoughts they would be much appreciated.

i have iphone 4s from japan which is a carrier locked (kddi ) it has ios 5.1.1 and now i want to upgrade to ios 6.Can i do the software update or it will cause any harm???
If you have a Japanese iPhone and are using it with any carrier other than Softbank or AU, then it was hacked, since as the others have said neither of those carriers unlock iPhones. Therefore if you upgrade iOS or restore your iPhone, it will lock back to the original carrier and be unusuable with your current cell provider.
We cannot help you with jailbroken iPhones. You'll have to look elsewhere for further assistance.

Your cousins phone was therefore not, in fact, factory unlocked. An iPhone sold directly by Apple as unlocked will never lock because of an iOS update.
An iPhone unlocked by going through proper procedures and channels with the carrier to whom it was originally locked will never lock again because of an iOS update.
An iPhone hacked to unlock it (which is unlocked by ANY other means then the first two) will lock again whenever iOS is updated.
If I had to guess, I would say 90% of privately sold iPhones sold as "unlocked" are in fact merely hacked to unlock them, and WILL relock when updated.
Some iPhones sold in Europe are also sold as "SIM free" and contract free, but do in fact lock to the carrier of the first SIM inserted in them. No contract, or "SIM free" does not mean unlocked. -

An incoming call on the iPhone, when it is in use or not answered generates a "ding" on the iPad2 and a notification of "missed call". The call, if you choose, can be answered on the iPad2 and a full 2 way conversation can takes place with the iPad2 and the calling party. Just like a regular telephone. Tested this with 3 different telephones making calls.
Tried turning the "phone"notification on and off on the iPhone5, unable to find anything to turn on or off on the iPad.

You can turn it off by going to Settings > FaceTime and turning "iPhone Cellular Calls" to off. -
Hi there - do you know if I will be able to sync a new ipad with ios5 (or even an ipad 3 if it ever gets released !) with a backup from my now defunct ipad2 ios 4.3.3 ?
ThanksYou will be able to restore from the backup of the old iPad and then sync all of the other content but you may need to update a bunch of apps in order for them to work with iOS 5 - but yes - you can use that backup.

If you're having issues connecting to the app store, is this the only connection issue? Can you connect to itunes store?

Try rebooting your ipad by pressing and holding both the home and sleep/wake buttons at the same time until the apple logo appears on the screen, then let go.
Go to settings/itunes and app stores, tap on apple id and sign out. Reboot the ipad and the sign back in the same way. -

You are looking in the videos app - correct?
If they are not in there - try this ....
Swipe to the right from your first home screen to get to the iPad Spotlight search. Type in the name of any of your movies in the field at the top. If a movie appears in the search - tap on it and it should hopefully start to play. Let it play for a minute or so - hit done - go back to videos app and see if all is OK and if the rest of your movies have appeared.
If they still do not show up - sync them back from iTunes on your computer. -
I am unable to decline the phone while the phone is locked. Earlier with IOS 6 I was able to do that, but after installing IOS 7 that feature is not available.
Tap the Sleep/Wake button to silence the call, a double tap will send the call to Voicemail.

You can change the incoming mail server for an email account by going to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Accounts > select the account to change > under INCOMING MAIL SERVER select Host Name > enter the correct name.

Also try this - Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.

Do you mean that it is now locked so you can't make calls? Was you phone jailbroken to unlock it in the past? If so, it relocked to the original carrier with the update. You will need to contact them to see if they will unlock it.
