IMB Service Type defaults

I'm using PostalSoft Business Edition v. 8.00c.03.01 and want the Intelligent Mail Information screen to default to "Standard: No Address Corrections w/o Confirm (code 300)" as the Service Type (right now it defaults to "Standard: No Address Corrections w/ Confirm (code 310)").  I don't see any obvious way to change the default and it's a bit annoying to have one more option to change for each mailing.  It would also be useful for all other classes of mail as well to default to "w/o confirm".  Any suggestions?

Bob,
Currently the software defaults the Service Type to the first in the drop down list.  Customers should be choosing the correct Service Type.
We do however have an enhancement written up to allow you to save defaults on the Intelligent Mail Information screen that I can add you to.
Please let me know if you need anything else.
Thanks,
Melissa

  • Is it possible to set the IMB Service Type Identifier on a per record basis

From not doing any research, it looks like Presort applies the IMB Service Type Identifier to all records in the output file. Does anyone know if it's possibly to specify different Service Type Identifiers within the same Presort job?
In my specific example I want to enable OneCode Confirm on specific records within the presort job, but not all records within the presort job.

    Hi Jay,
You are not restricted to a single Service Type ID for every record in a job.  By using the PW.SRVC_Type input field, it is possible to assign different Service Type IDs to your records.

  • ACS 5.3 - 11033 Selected Service type is not Network Access

I have some older devices on the network that only support RADIUS (not TACACS) for authentication and would like to have them use SecureACS 5.3
I understand that by default, ACS only supports TACACS for device administration.  So I'll get this error when trying RADIUS:
11033 Selected Service type is not Network Access
    Description:
RADIUS requests can only be processed by Access Services that are of type Network Access
    Resolution Text:
Verify that the Service Selection Policy rules are correct
However, even after adjusting the Service Selection rules and seeing hits, I still see the same message in the logs, as if it has no affect.  Any Ideas?

If you use the protocol as radius you can not use a device admin service. You can only use network access. That will allow you for authentication to the devices.

  • Automatic G/L account Selection in Service type Invoice

    Hello,
I want to select G/L Account automatically in the service type Invoice instead of item type. How can i do that , can any body suggest me about that.
I want a default G/L account selection for they service type Sales Order or Invoice. Please do suggest me.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Regards .
    Shrikant.

    Hi,
Use Formatted Search to acheive your requirement.
If all the service type Sales order or Invoice with same GL A/C Code use the following query
    SELECT 'XXXXXX'
If all the service type Sales order or Invoice with different GL A/C Code use the following query
    SELECT T0.AcctCode FROM OACT T0 WHERE T0.AcctCode ='XXXXXX'
XXXXXX - Means GL A/C Code.

  • Service Type HTTPS

    Hi,
We have configured AccAD for our Enterprise Portal 7.0, In this we are able to access the Portal using default Service Type "NW Portal 7.0 from SPS13" on HTTP-50000 Port from a single Application Server Instance. ( http://portal.xyz.com:50000/irj/portal )
But we are using SAP WebDispatcher to load balance between 3 Application Server Instances of Portal and it is accessible on HTTPS (443). ( https://portal.xyz.com/irj/portal )
We have configured Secured Tunnel between SFE and CFE, but there is not any default Service Type HTTPS (443) available in AccAD,
Is there any need to configure Secure communication between SFE and Data Center Server?
Can anyone help me on this?
    Thanks & Regards,
    Dashrath.

    Hi Dashrath,
actually you can configure to address a service via HTTPS the following way:
    1. Create Service Type itself (e.g. Portal from SPS13)
    2. Create Data Center
    3. Add Service to Data Center
    4. Within this service you can now define the according port and set the flag "encrypted" for https communication
Whether you re-encrypt the traffic within your data center between SFE and Load Balancer / Portal, really depends on your security requirements. Generally, you might configure the Load Balancer as well to accept HTTP traffic, which then would save some effort for the reencryption - but whether this is feasible depends very much on your existing landscape and security guidelines.
    Hope that helps, best regards

  • Service Type Template "Print"

    Hello,
in AccAD 2.2 in the service type template a template named "Print" is shown.
Is there any documentation about that template?
For example why is the compression deaktivated in this template?
How must the Service Engine depending on that template be configured? (i think about that this service is on the cfe-side and the sfe is consuming this service by presenting it to the SAP-Systems in the datacenter??).
    Thank you,
    Best regards
    Stephan

    Hi Stephan,
the service type print is a tcp-based service type with a default port typical for printers.
The compression is turned off here in order to reduce load on the AccAD Engines when a large number of CFEs are supposed to connect to an SFE (typically with 50-70 customers the increased load of compression might become a bottleneck in the printing scenarios). Depending on your specific scenario, it might make sense to turn on the compression settings. Could you share how many CFEs you intend to connect per SFE? Then our development department might give an according recommendation ...
The delivery is just configured as the delivery of any other service is delivered - so there should be no difference.
    Hope this helps, best regards
    Jana

  • CSS Unclear definition of service type local

Does anyone have a clear definition of what the default service type of local does?
Is it simply to forward the matched traffic to the IP in the service, as a next hop?
    BR
    Alan

I do not have a clear definition of the "local".
But the default for the CSS is nat vip ip address with service ip address and forward.
The destination ip will be changed, so this is not just a forward as next-hop.
    Gilles.

  • Gross profit on sales credit memo of service type

Gross profit on sales credit memo of service type
When AR Credit memo of service type is created, should Gross Profit be calculated?
My client has recently upgraded from 2007 to 8.8 and says that in 2007 GP did calculate and shown on sales analysis for service type credit memos, on 8.8 it does not.
Please advise if there is a setting (apart from document settings > default GP % for service docs) to make GP calculate on a service type credit memo?

    Hi,
Have you tried in the demo system? If you can not get gross profit on sales credit memo of service type from there, it would mean not supported.
    Thanks,

  • Location in Service type A/R Invoice in 2007 B

    Hi all,
I am using SAP 2007 B PL 08. When I am create a Service Type A/R Invoice, system gives message that "Location is missing".
What I believe is Location is related to Ware House and when the Marketing Document is Service Type, it should not be complusory.
Even I am not able to set the default location.
Request to throw light on this issue.
    BR
    Samir Gandhi

    Hi Sridharan,
    Thanks for early reply.
Is there any work around to bring the default location automatic ?
Because at my this client side, they generates A/R invoice with Service type, they do not use Item and ware house.

  • Generating Accruals from Service type Goods Receipt PO's

I have identified that Service type Goods Receipt PO's do not write to the G/L, but a.) I don't understand why they don't and b.) how does one create system generated accruals if not by Goods Receipt PO?  I am sure this question has been asked before, but I couldn't find the thread.
    Thanks in advance,
    Donald

Invoices create an actual expense.  Accrual expenses are normally captured as a result of work performed or items received but not invoiced.  Once again, I understand what SAP Business One does in this scenario.  I am being asked why and for that I don't have an answer.  It doesn't seem to be in conflict with GAAP, so I am not sure why they don't allow G/L Account determination for Service Documents to Accrual accounts.  It is a similar problem on the AR side, SAP B1 doesn't support money received, but not recognized to the liabilites bucket without manual intervention.
    Thanks again,
    Donald

  • OSB Service Type

    HI,
I want to know the best practices (scenarios) of using "Service Types" while creating proxy/business services in OSB. Could you plese help me in the same .
    Thanks and Regards
    Guru...

it depends on what service interfaces you want to expose on your osb layer.
when using wsdl/xsd you define a structured interface, client who invokes this service can generate artifcats against it and 'know' what payload is needed for a valid invocation.
when you use anysoap/anyxml you allow the client to any any payload, even payloads which aren't valid at all.
use for example anyxml if you just want to transfer xml payloads, if you also need for example some soap header settings, use any soap
