Hello! Could anybody help me! Is it possible to find IMEI code of iphone 5. My phone was stolen and the box was disposed. The question is: is it possible to find IMEI code using only icloud account (find my iPhone service)...or some other options. Your answers will be appreciated!

IMEI number is no use.
If you can't track it using find my phone.
Then report the lost to the local authority and your phone carrier.
change your passwords.

Unless you have configured iCloud on the MacBook Air and made sure that Find My Mac was turned on, you can't track that. And even if you did do that, that is not a foolproof method of tracking, as it relies on the thief connecting to the internet using the guest account on the machine and not getting in to your account and disabling Find My Mac or wiping the hard drive and installing a clean system.
As for the iPad, similar rules apply there. If it is a wifi-only iPad, it cannot be tracked any other way. If it has 3G, your wireless carrier may be able to help you track it.

Hello, I was wondering if it was possible for any company in any country to block a cell phone (not a number) with the IMEI code when the phone is stolen, for e. Don't know much about cell phones or cellular networks and was wondering if it can be done.
Does it work for the iphone?

Some countries(in Europe as an example) require carriers to block IMEI numbers of stolen phones others do not. In the USA, no carriers block IMEI numbers, as they are not required to do so.

Regarding using imei codes to trace lost handset

if the user lost the handset, with the proof of police report and also imei codes or handset serie numbers. cant apple help to trace the current location of the lost handset even though we didnt installed the 'find my phone'???

Sorry No, Apple doesn't help with tracing phone, that's what find my phone is for, if you had it enabled in icloud.
Secondly, you can't trace a phone using the imei number.

You can only attempt to find / lock it if you had Find My iPhone enabled before it got stolen.

How to change BB IMEI Code

Hi, maybe you guys can help me with a similar problem. I'm on the o2 uk network, and have a BB Curve 9630 (I think lol, can't check as I'm using it to write this) my problem is my phone is letting me acess the net, send receive emails and use bbm, but can't send or receive texts or calls. I contacted o2 who said there's no prob with network and sim works in a different phone ok. I'm a pay as you go customer. I was looking for the same thing, to change imei to another BB curve I have that won't go on, but don't think that's gna happen. Ii checked status of unlocks/locks everything says disabled except network, that's saying inactive. Any suggestions? Any help would be very much appreciated. My BB is my only contact with the outside world after 8 at night as I'm a single parent, I'm going crazy lol

Sorry but IMEI is a unique code and every phone has one. There is no way for us to change or switch it from one device to another.

Question is: how do I retrieve/get this number using J2ME API functions?

To get your IMEI no your mobile you need to use the following code
*#06#
This will display the IMEI number of your mobile , its the same as your serial number
If you remove your mobile cover panel and the battery , you would see a sticker with the serial number
BOth serial number and IMEI Numbers are same

ive got my iphone 4 from london , and i live in kuwait , when i put my sim and turned on my iphone it works for a about 10 mins ... and get the No service , mostly happens when i use the cellular data thing from the 3G .. and when i restart my iphone i get the IMEI And The ICCID Uknown ... so i googled and saw some topics in the website .. and said that the iphone needs to be replaced ...
now the problem is ive sent my iphone with a friend to london .. and they said they cant refund nor replace it .. they claim that it works perfectly there without any problem .. and i got it back tried it and still didnt work ,, sent it back to london a week later .. and they still wont refund or replace , but before i sent it , ive took a screen shot for the IMEI ICCID unknown problem , so they dont say it works perfectly , surprisengly they did , and theyve seen the screen shot , and still ... and did i mention its under the warranty ?

AFAIK, the iPhone is not officially supported by any carrier in Kuwait, nor is it officially sold there yet. I suspect this is part of your problem & why the phone tests fine in London & won't work where you live. Regardless, there is not much you can do if Apple has told you twice that your phone is fine. How did you obtain your micro sim? Did you cut down a regular sim? Perhaps your problem is the sim you're trying to use isn't being read properly.

Only the carrier an iPhone was sold as carrier locked with can officially unlock the iPhone, or send the unlock request to Apple on the owner's behalf.

Sorry, no. If your carrier offers Blacklisting, that will make the phone unusable as a phone, in your country. Otherwise, there's not much you can do other than hope the police recover it.
