I lost my Ipad, and eventhough i dont have my IMEI number, i have the MAC address and i used Intrnet via GSM Sim card, and i have few IP address of it, Can I have any possibilities to find my IMEI number from those IP address?

All I want is to send off the phone to be repaired ASAP, but insetad I'm wasting my time having to contact customer services for which none of them give me a clear answer, and have to create accounts and aliases on this site which I never intend to use ever again. It is not my fault or any other consumers fault for the majority of problems that arise in these products, it is the manufacturers fault for distributing such faulty goods. On your iPhone, go to Settings, General, About, and scroll down. You'll find IMEI number there.

I was relocating from USA to India using Air India airways. On reaching Delhi, I did not receive my luggage. After 5 days of my arrival, I received my luggage with broken lock and my 2 iphone 4S and one Macbook pro air was missing. All these products were brand new and unopened from box. I filed complained about my missing electronics items but came up with empty handed. All these electronic products are registered in Apple in my name. After 2 months, I came to know by calling Apple representative that one of the iphone4S is active and is using Turkey carrier. I have the IMEI number and the serial number of this active iphone but due to Jurisdiction area limitation, I cannot do anything. Please let me know what I can do at best to alteast find out the complete gang involved in this shameful international electronic stolen item trafficking business. I still wonder how my iphone 4S reached Turkey although my itinerary was from Baltimore to NewYork to Paris to Delhi.
The advisor should not have told you this for legal reasons. There is no way of tracking the iPhones just of finding out which SIM cards were used to activate them and if they were activated at all. Court can authorize Apple to release this information to the count. There is no legal way without involving a judge.

How can I get IMEI number from back up if my phone...
My trusty N95 was stolen (by a security guard no less). He disappeared and is now using the phone. He sent an email to someone from my gmail account which was set up on the phone (and configured to always copy me). I've changed my email log in password etc. BUT I really would like to block that phone. But I'd had it for so long that I don't seem to have the IMEI number stored anywhere. I have my old back-ups and photos etc. Is the IMEI stored in any of these and how would one retrieve it?

For you to be able to see the Folder called AppData you have to make sure that you have enabled Show Hidden Folders which is achievable by selecting Folder Options>View>Tick Show Hidden Files, Folders and Drives
Once you open the Messages, Photos or Contacts you will be able to see a folder and the folder name will have numbers which is the IMEI number and you can use your IMEI number to block your lost phone via your service provider. Some service providers also helps to track the phone and if your service provider enables the track phone feature then you can locate your lost phone and arrest the person who stole it.

I got my iPhone stolen, and currently have insurance requesting a document with IMEI number on it, I called apple and they say this doesn't exist?
I tried to explain to insurance, but they won't listen. I have sent in packing list, shipping notification, and scan of sticker on box with IMEI and serial number.

This must confirm the make, model and IMEI (International Manufacturers Electronic Identity) number of your phone and can be either a letter from your airtime provider on their letter-headed paper, a copy of the original receipt or despatch note that was provided to you when your phone was purchased. (this is not a air time bill)
Thanks a lot,I bought from Apple online store, and IMEI only appears on sticker on the box which I've peeled off , scanned and emailed. Called apple and they said document doesn't exist with IMEI number on it. I've saw on another post someone managed to get apple to send them receipt with all the info within 3 days so I'll call back tomorrow, just the guy I spoke today didn't think it was possible.

i have been given an iphone 4s from my cousin ,she has restored the factory settings and i cant get the phone to accept my sim card as i guess it is a different carrier how could i fix the problem or wipe the imei number ? p.s i am computer illiterate
Ask your cousin who the original carrier was, then call the carrier and ask if they will unlock the phone. Some carriers will only unlock phones for the original owner, so your cousin may have to ask.

Need to show proof of purchase to my insurance company, but my phone was replaced by apple so has a different imei number to the one on my receipt, how do you sort this out??
Contact Apple and see if they can provide any documentation of the device swap.

Hello community members, my iPhone has been stolen and I tried to contact police, they are asking for IMEI number of the phone. Unfortunately I could not read the IMEI number on the box due to moisture wiped out most of the number on it. I sacanned it in and enhanced, I'm still unable to read out the number. Is there any other method so that I can contact Apple to get IMEI number ? since the phone was shyncronized several times in apple store / iCloud.
If you backed up your iPhone in iTunes on your computer -
Open iTunes - Edit - Preferences - Devices - See Device Backups in the Window.
Hover mouse/curser on any backup. Read IMEI and Serial no. your of iPhone.
