buenos dias saben que tengo un iphone 4s con iso 6.1.2 con operadora movilnet de venezuela e intento activar el imensaje y el facetime con mi numero y no me lo permite, se quedan en esperando activación y luego dice que no se pudo, como hago?

El programa iMensaje en el iMac me funcionaba perfectamente hasta ayer, que me dijo que estaba desconectado. Cuando intento acceder con mi ID me sale el siguiente mensaje:
El dispositivo de registro no dispone de las credenciales apropiadas.
¿Alguien sabe como solucionarlo?

Tuve el mismo problema, hice una sesión de chat con el apoyo de Apple y tengo resuelto. No tengo ni idea de por qué esto funcionó, pero lo hizo:
Cree otro usuario de su ordenador (preferencias del sistema, usuarios y grupos, asegúrese de "desbloquear" el icono del candado).
Cerrar sesión de la computadora.
Inicie sesión con el nuevo nombre de usuario.
FaceTime abierto y poner en su ID de Apple y contraseña. Y por alguna razón que funcionaba.
Ahora ingrese el nuevo nombre de usuario y vuelva a entrar bajo su propio nombre de usuario.
Ir a FaceTime, y usted debe encontrar que está funcionando. Por lo menos yo lo hice.

Are you trying to use the phone in Bahrain with a supported carrier there? I suspect not. If you try to use this phone outside of Bahrain, you won't have FaceTime. This is done to prevent folks from simply crossing the border to purchase iPhones in Bahrain...FaceTime is banned in Saudi Arabia & the UAE. Sorry, but you'll only have FaceTime on that phone while using it in Bahrain on a supported carrier's network there.

Nothing will work, it keeps saying activation turn on Wi-Fi when my Wi-Fi is turned on. As soon as I got this on Christmas. iMessage and FaceTime have not been working. Create an AppleID under different email addresses for each family member at http://appleid.apple.com
If they don't already have their own email address just setup a free one with Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail or whoever you prefer.
Then on each device sign into iMessage with the users own AppleID in:
Settings > Messages > Send & Receive > Tap AppleID at top > Sign Out, then sign back in again with the correct AppleID.

Okay. We have three Ipads in our house with only one Itunes account. When I go into imessaging and facetime on each of the devices, it wants to start switching my wife's cell phone and then the three emails associated with each Ipad to the contact information for all of the Ipads. As of this morning, only the imessaging and facetime are turned on my wife's iphone and ipad. My kids imessaging and facetime is turned off. Do you really have to have an itunes account for each device to make then work??? Any help would be very much appreciated.

There is only one solution. Each user must have their own separate user account. All of their respective data would be contained in their separate user accounts. This also means each will have a separate iTunes Library. If you all use the same third-party apps, then each will have to purchase their own copies under their own Apple IDs. Some data sharing is possible. See:

This is the error message I receive when I try to add my phone to my Mac for proximity / FaceTime audio calling. This feature worked until I changed my Apple ID. I have updated my Apple ID everywhere I can think of updating it. I've signed out of Apple ID on my Mac, deleted EVERYTHING (calendars, contacts, etc.), signed back in, etc. I've done the same with my phone, and even done a power-down / reboot and nada. I keep getting this message from the Mac.
I can't figure out where else I should look for my old Apple ID to be logged into anything or creating problems. I've gone over my iPhone and Mac and I'm at a loss. As an aside (and yes, wrong forum), have lost the ability to do SMS forwarding since the Mac no longer receives the code from my iPhone to allow this feature to work. This was lost after signing out of the Apple ID on my Mac this afternoon.
Bluetooth is turned on for both devices. Both devices are on the same WiFi network. Both devices otherwise appear to be working correctly with the exception of the problems I'm having with FaceTime and iCloud being signed into the same Apple ID (which they are).

(By the way, I should have pointed out in my earlier posting that I'm running OS X Yosemite 10.10.3 on my Mac). I Just installed latest Yosemite update while my iPhone was switched off, and when my Mac restarted, the 'iPhone Cellular Calls' checkbox in the FaceTime preferences was checked and the problem was therefore solved. Switched on my iPhone, still fine. Relief.

Go to System Preferences --> Create a New User in Users & Groups
Decide on whether to setup as Admin or Standard User.
Switch to the New User by logging out under the Apple in the Menu Bar or use Fast User Switching
Fast User Switching allows other users to leave current applications and windows open. Depending on RAM, you might need to log out rather than use FUS.

I have 3 ipod touch devices and an iphone connected to my apple id. My kids want to facetime each other but their device rings once and then says unavailable. Is this because they all have the same apple id since they are under my account?

that is not possible facetime and imessage don't tie with the device it tie with the appleID
imessage and facetime between devices with the same appleID will never work because of that
plus all imessages will be recieved by all devices

Normally, I could just go in via iChat and control the other machine and troubleshoot, but I can't do it with Facetime only. My buddy list doesn't see the other computer even though we are connected on Facetime right now. My name is not highlighted for the other computer. What could have gone so wrong?

I have one Apple ID for iCloud that is used on multiple devices. Each user has their own Apple ID for Store purchases. Can I use my Apple ID that is NOT my iCloud ID as a way to get my iMessages/FaceTime on multiple devices?

To clarify, we share an iPad (original iOS 5.1.1).
When I use it, I would like to use my individual AppleID that I use for store purchases so I get MY iMessages on both my phone and the iPad.
It seems to work when I use the iCloud Apple ID (meaning iMessages come through on both units) but when I try to set them both up using my store Apple ID, it doesn't work.
Help?!?!

Use Find My Friends app instead. Much easier to manage, and you won't need each other's id/pw's to do it. They only need to accept your invitations and vice versa.
