IMessage activated finally, but what about all those iMessages I couldn't receive for days. Where are they?!

I had the problem of not receiving messages after updating to IOS 7. I was finally able to reactivate iMessages after restoring my phone. BUT, is there anyway to receive those iMessages that I couldn't receive for the last 5 days, or are they forever lost in the abyss?
Help! I know there were some important messages I COULDN'T receive while iMessage was messed up!
Anyway to catch those from outer space?

If you want to use multiple devices - move to imap, I would even say "exchange", but Google does not support free exchange anymore, since January of that year. So Ironically Icloud or Hotmail would be my choices right now.

Got a new hard drive for Snow Leopard, but what about all the applications?

Hi,
Installing Snow Leopard revealed a faulty hard drive, but Genius Bar got me a new hard drive and installed Snow Leopard and the rest of the Mac Box Set for me.
I'm putting my computer back together, and I had all my files backed up on a Passport, but what do I do about the applications that I had? I could use a reinstallation of Office for Mac and Final Cut Express. Can I ask the companies directly?

More reason to back up your +*entire system,+* whether with Time Machine, a "clone" app like CarbonCopyCloner or SuperDuper, and/or some other way.
You should still retain the original discs, of course, but having a full system backup greatly reduces the chance you'll need them.

What about all those pipelines differencies?

I remember all the hype that Apple did about pipelines differencies between PPC and Intel. 7 pipelines vs 20 pipelines made PPC much faster. G5 seemed to have already more pipelines.
So, is this a past issue or is a past myth?

bollocks.
there were/are and always will be technical differences that give different performances on different chip architectures. there have been times when the PPC chips around were actually getting work done faster than the competitors at the time.. this of course was all part of the usual leapfrogging that happens in technology, period.
of course apple were happy to market the advantages of the technology they were using at the time, and at those moments when it was actually demonstrably faster than competitors, they sure let everyone know about it.
but the shift to intel is deeper than any boring discussion about 'ooh, they were lying to us all along'.. it's a paradigm shift, an ending once and for all of this need to keep pushing a (very good) type of chip design to compete with the other side of the market which is way bigger and has way more money to burn in R & D. in the end, it looks like a good decision for the future, but it doesn't mean that PPC-based macs were always rubbish, always slow and always being lied about in terms of performance. a G5 quad is a competitive powerhouse, any way you look at it.

Where are videos stored when you transfer them onto your iPad?

Itunes on the ipad is only a link to the store for purchasing media, it is not for watching content. Use the video app for watching the video.

Nice updates/fixes but what about the reception issue?

Don't want to beat a proverbial dead horse, but what about making the IPhone 4 a better receiver of calls? My 3Gs was the BEST phone I ever owned. I rarely had a dropped call, I was able to make and receive calls in places where no phone I had owned previously could. When I read that this phone had the best reception of any IPhone (according to Apple) I went and made the switch. Yes, I read many posts where folks say just that, great phone. I am on IPhone 4 number three and all have been plagued with reception issues, thought the first two were worse than this one. I go to the same locations every day and the 3Gs sent and received calls remarkably better. Just sayin.....

because apple put the antenna on the outside of the phone it is easier to attenuate the signal but it also gives much better reception. i have not dropped one call on my iphone 4... i was dropping tons of calls on my 3Gs and i am in the same area.
i have tried to attenuate the signal on my phone and cannot with the case on no matter how i hold it. if i take the case off and hold the sweet spot it drops like crazy. maybe your bumper isn't covering the antenna well enough.
i got the incipio NGP for 19 bucks at walmart. if you put that case on and still have the issue then i think you are totally full of cr@p.

The only Programms I worked with are DVD Studio Pro and iDVD. You can burn a Video-DVD with Toast but there is no real option to design your Menu. Just a few themes as far as I discovered.
Do you have a Blue Ray Device to burn* the HD-DVD? Are the Bride and Groom able to watch the Blue Ray?
* which is only possible with DVD Studio Pro and not iMovie as far as I know.

For better quality I would go the Compressor & DVD Studio Pro workflow I just learned.
Export the Movie as is from Final Cut Pro and then use Compressor to encode the File.
Consider delivering the Movie in a different way like a private video on vimeo, a Website or on an SD card which is not really romantic...

Just to add a couple of more things that you can try ... Along with what TMM suggested ....
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
You can also try updating from the app description page rather than the Updates Tab. Do a search for the apps that needs to be updated - when it appears in the search - tap on the app icon. Then tap on Update or Install - whatever happens to appear next to the app icon - in the description page that pops up.
You can also try deleting the waiting icons - tap and hold down on an icon until it wiggles - the tap the X on the icon to delete it. Then try to download again.

What about leaving a complex selection of clips intact after an UNDO operation? (This costs me hundreds of minutes a week.) Like every other app in the world?
What about allowing "." as an abbreviation for "00" when entering timecode?
What about letting the renaming of a clip in a bin be reflected in timelines?
What about a "reduce project" option? (To remove all items not used by selected sequences, like Ae.)
What about actually useful clip labels (colors) which link between timeline items and their respective clips in the bin? (Like Avid & FCP) So we can mark certain clips a certain color in a bin and have that color be reflected in timelines?
What about being able to close the title tool with a shortcut, not just a tiny 4x4 button?
What about fixing the title tool so it's kerning/leading shortcuts are NOT the exact opposite of EVERY OTHER CC application?
What about a simple "Select Media Relatives" command, like in FCP and Avid?
What about fixing the audio scrub toggle shortcut so that it works without having to play or use the mouse?
What about a shortcut for "Reveal in Finder" from the Timeline? It's in the context menu -- why no shortcut?

I am curious about the time you waste ...and wonder what and why you are doing it... that causes this loss of efficiency.

Old OSX Spotlight function automatically displayed path/location within the machine: e.g. desktop/folder/sub-folder/item.

You should have been storing everything on your computer and regularly backing up your computer.
If you failed to do that, then you may be able to get your pics from photo stream

Are the apps backed up too or do they need to be purchased, downloaded and installed again?

You can transfer your purchases to computer iTunes.
Connect and select iPhone in iTunes under DEVICES, right click and choose Transfer Purchases from ...
BTW, you can alway re-download again for free if it's still available in the app store.
