IMessage always closes at startup and deletes recent messages

Dear users,
Every time when I start my computer (and iMessage), the application says that there is a mistake and it has to be restarted. After re-opening iMessage, it works, but it randomly doesn't show recent messages. Even when I wrote and sent one via my computer, it isn't visible via iMessage at my computer anymore. I can only see some old messages from days ago then.
I hope you can help me.

Hi,
Whilst you can remove the Apple ID from the iMessage one you also can't delete it as an Option.
The Bonjour account is present for everyone and cannot be deleted.
In that sense my comment about "Default" should have also said not deletable.
As you have no AIM or Jabber IDs (or even Yahoo) accounts set up it is not going to be those Logins that are the issue (or the .plists that deal with them).
You have to access a file that is in a folder that is Hidden at present.
To get there to this:-
Have a Finder Window Open.
In the Go Menu select Go to Folder and then type ~/Library/Preferences into the dialogue box that appears.
Once in th Preferences find and drag to the Trash com.apple.iChat.plist
Restart Messages.
This .plist holds many of the Preferences you can change in Messages and some of the account info.
If deleting that one does not work then delete (Drag to Trash) com.apple.imservice.iMessages.plist
On restarting Messages you may need to re-enter your Apple ID as the .plist here holds your Apple ID and the "Aliases" linked with it.
IF this does not work repeat the process and move com.apple.iMessages.bag.plist to the Trash
This one holds the server name that Messages is connecting to for the iMessages account.
Again Restart Messages.

What happens when you try to reply... Do you get an error message, is there no send button, does a symbol appear?

that is the only method to delete message on your iphone.

I had tried that and it appeared to select nothing, so I got thrown off. But yes, I should have tried the delete button at that point. Then delete the swatch, then copy it all and paste it into a new file. The paste-in is my primitive way of confirming what's actually there. I'm sure there are more elegant ways.

No, but cellular data will be used at whatever international roaming rate you carrier charges for data in whatever country.
Exchanging iMessages requires the same thing as email - an available internet connection. SMS/MMS is completely separate from iMessage.

Cant select and delete text messages

Since the latest ios7 update i can no longer select and delete text messages. I have to delete the entire conversation. Anyone else having this problem? Is there a fix?

Tap and hold on a text within a conversation. Tap "More" in the pop up menu. Select the messages you want to delete by tapping in the little circles at the left of the messages. Tap the trash can in the lower left of the screen.

Sorry, but it's not possible to select all in the mail app to delete all messages at once. One at a time is the way that you have to go.

After reading a gmail and deleting, the message reappears on my screen, i now show 400 plus min my inbox.

As I read my gmail and delete, the entry disappears on my screen.. However, It reappears on my screen the next time i open gmail with the inbox. I now show over 400 messages in inbox some going back to deletions in november.

A possible cause is security software (firewall,anti-virus) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

I would like to go on line to review and delete old text messages. Is there a way to do it? Doing it on the cell phone is slow and (for me) clumsy. Thanks

There is no way to access your phone's memory online, other than the limited case of using Backup Assistant to modify your contacts via the web interface. It may be possible to connect your phone to your computer with special software and delete the texts that way, but I've never heard of anyone doing this.
Just go through your phone and delete them.

Ok, yes. Like I had said a couple minutes ago, I think this is beyond my expertise. I recommend you call Apple next.

TS3992 Iphone 4s won't back up because not enough storage after deselected and deleted all messages.

I read and followed the step from Apple website. Also went and deleted all my message which is about 1.9gb. I also un selected all the option from the backup menu. How come i still couldn't back up my phone. iCloud keep giving back error messages. Also time to time all the contacts diappeared for couple of hours then just reappeared out of no where. Please help.

After trying every possiblity I called Apple Support, spoke with Tyler who dug as deep as he could and it showed almost 5 gigs available. He contacted a tech for the server who said that they could see that I had deleted all of the files but that due to the high amount of server traffic at this time it may take a week to initialize on the server before it shows cleared.

Adobe Reader LE 1.5 and Deleting Recent Documents

On my E71, I am having difficulty deleting PDFs from the Reader's recent document list. There is no option to remove them, and the files don't seem to be stored anywhere in the filesystem that I can get to via Bluetooth or the File Manager.
Any ideas? I hate to have my memory occupied by documents that I'll never need again.

This is the rare annoying thing i found on N73 too the recent documents list in Adobe reader and real player never gets cleared up initially i found it to happen when i viewd a pdf file directly from the email instead of downloading it to my mobile later that was not the case it remained permanently there for all the files irrespective of viewing it online or storing it to the device. Only way to clear that up is to do a format using *#7370# AFAIK(which will erase all ur phone data) it is a silly thing to do for filename staying in the recent viewed list so i live with it

Either of the above options terminates Mozilla - neither option fixes the problem - however Mozilla works as long as the error message remains on the desktop.

We cannot know. You are not offering any system information nor actually telling what program you use and what you do when the crash occurs.

I have cleared all apps from my ipad. How do yo get rid of calendars and delete saved messages which is taking all mt storagw

I have cleared all apps but still not able to download a rented movie. The only spot where I have data stored is in saved messages andd calendars. Cannot find the saved messages and cannot delete calendars. Any other suggestions because this was a very stupid purchase if you only have enough storage for the standard apps.

Go to: Settings>General>Usage>and see what is eating up all of your memory. After you find what is eating up most of your memory just delete it thru:Settings>General>Usage. I would not think your calendars and messages would take up all of your memory.
