IMessage and Factime will not activate
Hey everyone, I have ran into an issue where my iPhone 4S cannot activate iMessage or FaceTime. My phone is not jail broken and I have tried almost everything I have read about on the Internet. Can anyone help me with this issue?? I moved to a community in northern Ontario when I don't have 3G service however it has worked for 6 months while I have been here and now all of a sudden just stopped working. Can I fix this issue with wifi only or do I need 3G service to fix this??
This should help. WiFi should be sufficient - you should not need 3G as long as your telephone number still works.

I have an iPhone 4S iOS 6.1.3 on Verizon. My iMessage and FaceTime will not activate.
I have wiped my phone multiple times trying both setting up as a new iPhone and restoring from back up.
I've also reset the settings and network settings.
Any help would be appreciated.To activate you need to be able to send SMS and in some cases that is an international SMS. The SMS is hidden and goes to a numbe rin the UK starting with +44. Are you able to send international SMS? Check with your carrier. Read http://support.apple.com/kb/ts4268

Imessage and facebook will not activate
I have changed my apple ID password, and since then my imessage and facetime will not activate, it says: "Could not sign in. Please check your network and try again." My internet connection is fine, my username/new password have been entered correctly, my time/date are correct, I have the latest software installed, and I have turned it on and off again, yet the same problem keeps arising.
Could anybody help (I have the iphone 5, if this helps).

I have tried several options of leaving the phone for 24 hours, I have tried resetting the network seething and nothing has helped so far, any suggestions as this is seriously frustrating!?

Only iPod Touch 4th generation can update to iOS 6.
iPod Touch 5th Generation will come with iOS 6 already installed.

You may want to try simply restarting your phone to see if you are able to get past that page after a restart. Instructions for doing this can be found here:

You restored the iPhone.
If the iPhone was hacked to be unlocked, restoring a hacked iPhone re-locks the iPhone to the carrier the iPhone was sold as carrier locked with then new. -

I have never been so frustrated and dissatisfied with such a huge
co-orporation's product and product service.
Seeing as you seem to know what the issue is with my PC, please resolve my

I am a verizon customer. I put in the new sim card and called them to activate it. I then plugged my phone into my computer and tried updating it in itunes. It keeps giving me an error 56 and won't update.
1. Most USB ports do not put out enough power to charge and iPad. This is why your iPad was supplied with an iPad specific 10W Wall Charger. It is what you use to charge iPad.
2. Do you have the latest version of iTunes on your home computer? It is required to use iPad in iTunes.
