IMessage error with 2 phones on same account/iCloud

My mom and I use the same Apple ID until last night after I updated my iPhone to ios7 things were fine but now she receives all of my messages to her phone too. We have tried to turn off both of our iCloud but it didn't work. She hasn't updated her phone to ios7 yet. She has turned off her iMessage. When she texts me she gets the same message to her phone too. Help please

The best way is to logout of one of the phones and then create a new Apple ID. Also, go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive on both phones and make sure only the phone number is checked.

Ah! This explains why I have been tearing my hair out for the past 24 hours trying to get my contacts from Address Book to my new BB Torch!
I found a workaround for a one-time sync:
1. go into Address Book prefs and temporarily change Default account from iCloud to On My Mac (this makes the "All on My Mac" category visible)
2. Go back into your contacts window, select all of your contacts, and copy them to All on My Mac (this will create duplicates of everything)
3. Sync the BB.
3. Return to prefs to change default account back to iCloud, and select all the contacts in All on My Mac and delete them, thereby removing all duplicates.
This solution only works for a one-time sync and needs to be repeated for future syncs.
Let's hope BB comes up with an iCloud compatible update ASAP!

Edge and Contract phones on same account - contract renewal question

Hello. I have multiple devices on my account and just signed up with EDGE for a new phone (different line, same account owner). When my contract phone goes up for renewal in a few months, am I still able get a subsidized phone with extending that 2-year contract at that time?

Actually, you never said anything about not being able to log out on either phone.

Sync error with centro - please sync eas account

im using a centro with active sync to sync my e-mail from an exchnage server. all my contacts and tasks sync just fine but i get an intermittent error message when syncing e-mail the message is "ASSERT FAILED! AirSAMSMEmailPrv.c (slk 04c7)860" when this happens no more mail is synced.
I will look at the last message that was synced to my palm, then from my live (outlook) mailbox i will start moving the new messages to a folder, then all of the sudden my palm will start syncing ok again without any more errors.
this is an intermittent problem and doesnt seem to be related to the type of message i am recieving. i called sprint and also spent time on the phone with palm and nobody could figure it out. they are saying it has to be a configuration setting on out active sync server or exchange but im not buying that one! other active sync users are fine, other handheld users are fine. i have used my mail account on other PDA's (inluding palm based ones) without any errors.

I've got pretty much the same issue. I ended up deleting the mail setup for my company and re-input my mail settings again. Did a few tests and everything is pushed to my Centro just fine for now. I'd like to last longer than a day or two though! Everything worked initially just fine then I noticed that I wasn't getting email push alerts and when I tapped Remote to look up people in our company lists, it wouldn't find anyone...some of the time. Sometimes it worked just fine. Having recently been migrated to Exchange 2007, I changed the server to what I was told and again it seemed fine...for a bit. I'm sure this little glitch will be corrected with some for up patch/upgrade, but it's a little inconvenient. Love the phone though. Here's what I sent to the IT department of my company a couple of hours ago to hopefully get some answers:
I was recently told to change my current mail server on my Centro to xx.xxx.xxx from the old one, xx.xxx.xx, due to being migrated to Exchange 2007. I previously used a Treo 755p with no issues.
Since switching to my newer Centro and updating the mail server in Versamail, the push email function hasn't been working like normal. More often than not, I have to tap the sync button only to see that a lot of new email is not making it to my device automatically via a push alert. Looking up contacts remotely sometimes tells me that a name cannot be found but when I try it a little later, it sometimes works. The device sometimes requests that I tap the sync button since there was some type of error. This causes it to re-download content that has already been reviewed and deleted like it's the first time.
I just received another error message saying something along the lines of a server certificate does not match the server and to contact technical for further assistance. This happend after new email was downloaded via the sync button.
It seems that the push email and remote contact lookup only work a small portion of the time. Is there any adjustment to the mail server that I need to make or is it something on the backend that needs to be looked at? Everything at least settings-wise appears to be set up correctly. Perhaps a different mail server address needs to be put into my Centro that's a better fit for our recent email migration?
All other data functons i.e. Web browsing and text messaging work fine. It's just the email app configured for the mail server that seems to be the issue. I look forward to your reply.

From your error message looks like it is a VS designer issue, I would recommend you do the same as Ken suggested, besides keep your windows update and reboot the device machine should help.
Another possibility is maybe you update with Silverlight 5.0, as I can see from a old post:

Checking texts with multiple phones on an account

I'm on my wifes account and was wondering how I can login to verizon and check my texts? It will only show the texts from the primary number on the account.

The text logs for all lines can be viewed when logged in as the Account Owner/Manager. If you're using Verizon Messages, you can see the text content, but each phone line would need its own My Verizon account to see the texts (and other backup type items such as Cloud) for that respective phone line.

My husband and I both have the Samsung Galaxy S3. His phone has been roaming for days now, and my phone hasn't been. How can this be? We have a share everything plan that is nationwide. Will we be charged for roaming?

Thank you for taking the time to reach out to us. I am sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your husbands line. We can definitely make sure to resolve this. Are you currently out of the country or near the border of another country? If not make sure that his LTE/CDMA is turned on in the Mobile Networks option of settings. If that is set up properly you can also turn off the mobile network on the device, then power the device on and off and turn it back on. Test this out and let us know if you see any change. If nothing we will proceed with different options. Overall, as long as you are not near an international area you will not be charged any kind of roaming fees.

My daughter and I both use my laptop for Itunes and we just updated her phone to the new software and when Icloud asked for Apple ID of course we entered mine which is the only one we have. Previously when we synced our phones her contacts and mine would just merge on our phones and we each would just get on our phones and delete the others contacts. NOW....since she deleted my contacts from her phone they are completely gone. So my question is how can I get my Apple ID off her phone so all my purchases don't go to her phone and is there any way to retrieve my contacts? At this moment the Icloud is not my favorite thing!

The iPod does not add/delete anything from the library.
If you do not want her to do anything to your library, create a separate XP user account and let her get her own music.

Syncing ipod with two different libraries, same account

I am trying to sync my ipod with all of the old songs from my itunes account i used on our old computer that are already on it, with my new computer's library that i just set up. I have turned on home sharing and it still won't let me sync it I keep getting a message that I have to erase all the songs from my ipod in order to put the 11 songs i just purchased on there? That seems weird and unnecessary! Please help! thanks!

Errors with moving from Mobile me to iCloud - No answer anywhere on the web that I can find!

I'm completely up to date with Lion.
I'm trying to move from Mobile Me to iCloud, but get an "Unable to complete your move to iCloud because of an unexpected server error" message on my Mac Book Pro when I open system preferences, it tries to finish moving me to iCould, but fails and gives me the error message above.
My Mobile Me account status is saying I have been upgraded to iCloud.
I have already successfully completed the move on my iMac and two iPhone 4's?
I have tried repair permissions and deleted the keychain, but the problem still exists!
Can anyone provide a solution? I am getting very frustrtaed, as I have so much stuff to do, I didn't want to waist any time on this issue!

This lead me to the solution for my issue: deleting the ~/Library/Application Support/iCloud/Accounts folder.
I spoke to an Apple MobileMe Support girl and she was useless!
I've wasted over 24 hours trying to sort this issue out - not a happy Apple user!
