IMessage Failed

After I updated my Iphone 5 to IOS7 sometimes my clock change by itself and a message appears: "iMessage Failed: Your Date & Time settings need to be updated.". When it happens I can not send iMessages until I set the clock.

The password change might affect iMessage. I suggest both of you reset your iPhones (no data will be lost).
Hold the home and on/off buttons together for about 10 seconds till the Apple logo appears.

Why do I get iMessage failed update date and time in settings

My iphone5 keeps changing it time zone on it's own and I keep getting a notification in messages saying iMessage failed update your date and time in settings. I have update it several times and it's keep doing it. Now it's just frustrating. How can I take care of this problem for good.

I have also been getting the message ever since I got my iPhone 5 on September 12. I have to reboot the phone to fix the problem or turn the "Set Automatically" off and then back on. This is a glitch likely with Apple's iOS software, but my Verizon store said that have received numerous complaints on this issue, but no patch has been released for it as of yet.

I cannot send or receive imessages from one person. Could the fact that I have hundreds and hundreds of messages to and from this person on my phone be the cause? Thanks.

imessage fails repeatedly to deliver messages since upgrade to ios 7. restarting sometimes fixes the issue, but is not an optimal workaround.

IMessage failed on iOS 8.1

My Ipad Air's iMessage function failed after the upgrader to iOS8.1
I do not have this issue on my iphone, which I did not update and still running on iOS8.02
Is there any solution to fixing this?

IMessage failed to deliver

I have been having imessage problems since ios 7 upgrade. I send a message to people whom I know have I message turned on. It says failed to deliver with a red exclamation point. So I'm forced to send as a text. They def have imessage on. I have rebooted and reset the phone holding home and on off button. In addition when I do this I also get a pop up saying cannot verify server identity. This is all after ios 7 update. How do I fix this. Thx

Same here. Mine sent after I restarted the phone, but don't want to run into this problem again. Hopefully a fix soon? iPhone 5c, all iOS is up to date.

I keep getting iMessage failed to send when sending pictures with my iPad Air

I keep getting message failed to send when I send a picture from my iPad Air I have tried sending to my husbands iPad Air in the same room and the picture arrives on his iMessage but my ipad says it has failed. I have tried reset all settings. I have turned off iMessage and then logged in again, I have turned my BT wifi off and reset that but nothing seems to work please has anyone any ideas.

HT4245 FaceTime and iMessage fails to activate

Hi, I'm from Argentina and bought an iPhone unlocked in a NYC Apple Stores. I'm trying to activate FaceTime and iMessage and it's failing. I've already restore the iPhone from the phone and using iTunes and didn't work. Apple does NOT have support in my country. Can somebody help me?

IMessage Failing on iMac

I have an iPhone 5s, iPad 2, brand new iMac and 2010 Macbook Pro. iMessage started acting up about a week ago on all devices. Basically, when I try to send an iMessage from my iPhone it fails and then most of the time it immediately sends. Sometimes, it wont send at all. My iMac won't send at all. The iPad sends sometimes, same with the Macbook Pro. I have logged out of all accounts for a minute and then logged back in. I have logged out of all accounts, logged out of all iCloud accounts, logged back in. I have reset network settings on my iPhone. Lastly, I just reset my PRAM on my iMac and it still isn't working.
Any ideas?

Is this in one location using one router for all devices ?
Obviously iPhone and iPads could be moving between networks and in the case of an iPhone it could be relying on the Carrier's 3G coverage if there is no Wifi.
On the Mac is the Firewall On ?
If so, is Messages allowed ?
If you router allows it try adding a Public DNS server rather than relying on the ISP ones.

Every time I text I message fails and I have to wait til thats failed before I can hit retry send as text. Can I turn off I message and just text or can Imessage be fixed. I'm tired of thinking I've sent a text only to find out it failed to send.

MacBook Pro iMessage fails

When ever i try to send a message to someone without an iMessage account, the messages goes trough, but when i try to send them to another iMessage account it fails at sending. it also doesn't receive from any other iMessage account. My iPhone 6 plus is working perfectly fine however
Please help, this is such a head ache

Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like you're running into an issue sending and receiving iMessages on your Mac, with contacts that don't have an Apple ID, but you're able to text them on your iPhone.
The device receiving the iMessage from your Mac needs to have iMessage setup with an Apple ID also, as described here:

But, you can use Continuity to send and receive SMS and MMS text messages from your Mac or iPhone as shown in the article linked below.

IMessage Fail suddenly from yesterday

My iMessage (from iPhone 4S) fail suddenly from yesterday afternoon. When I try to send out the mssage it's always failed finally with a red alarm. Even I turn on the option of "send as text message" it would not be send out vis SMS. Why? And the iMessage from other persons to me also can be arrived. I reboot the iPhone and re-active the iMessage service. But it doesn't work yet.

Okay, if anyone views this issue - I managed to fix it by removing my email accounts and I also put an empty pre-paid simcard in the iphone, it probably had more to do with the former than the latter but either way it's fixed, sms now going to Galaxy.

Is anyone else still having there iMessages fail to send on iPhone 4?

Ever since the iOS 7 started I've had nothing but problems with my iMessage. I have to sign out of iMessage restart my phone and then sign back in. Even then it only works for a few hours, and then I start the whole process over again. My software is 7.0.4 on an iPhone 4.

I upgraded to OS 7.0.4 in October and am not able to text my son. It is frustrating. I called ATT and they referred me to Apple. I keep getting a text back from 1-1-216-116-11 that I need to resend using a valid number. I have tried erasing my iphone and then restoring it,but nothing. I am so frustrated. Do we need to file a class action or what???

Imessages failed to activate because the username and pass do not match?

1- Changed the pass still did not work
2-Created an apple id I could not activate
3-I try to use the alternate apple id still no use
4-I created an apple id from the imessages and it worked, then I turned it off and on, and when I try to activate no use
5-I used an apple id of a friend and it worked, I changed the pass and it still worked

We should take a look at the log files to see what's really going on but if you haven't done anything with the installation yet then "reinstalling" is very easy.
In the directory where you launched the jar file, you should find a directory named "crx-quickstart". Simply rename this directory to "crx-quickstart.old" and restart the jar file. Your new environment will be ready in a couple of minutes. Keep the old directory and look into the [your directory]\crx-quickstart\logs directory for details on your original problem.

Imessage failing

I have 2 iphones. Both share the same apple id. Since we upgraded to IOS7, we're having problems with iMessages on the phones.
iMessages sent will often hang in an outbound queue and never deliver. the iMessage app does NOT revert to standard txt messages when this happens. We have tried resetting the network settings on the phones and also rebooted the phones. This does seem to help for a period, but the problem comes back.
I'm not seeing any service outages on teh apple pages, but this problem does seem to happening a lot. In addition, we seem to be getting quite a number of 'sorry I can't help you right now' errors from Siri, which never happened this frequently with ios6.
I had first thought this was due to load on the apple servers during the upgrades, but now I fear that is not the case. Does anyone else share these issues, or have any solutions?

Yes, I'm having the exact same problem, and so has my wife. We've been having to reboot our phones every few hours for several days now. We've done all the normal troubleshooting and resetting. Every few hours the messages just won't fully send. Hoping Apple addresses this quickly.
