IMessage has stopped

iMessage has stopped working and Ive checked all the settings are right, my main number has a tick by it but is not highlighted? Appreciate any help out there thanks :)

I have changed my account to SIM only and when I put my new SIM Card into my iPhone 4 it just says 'no service' in the top left corner, also iMessage has stopped working too. I can only use my phone on my WiFi at the moment, does anyone have any idea?

I already have, I contacted Orange yesterday and they said I will receive a text to confirm the registrastion for my new SIM Card, they said the text would arrive between 2 and 24 hours and its been over 24 hours with no text recieved

New iPad tethered to iPhone 4 both on iOS 6, iMessage has stopped working.

Since updating to iOS 6 on both devices, iMessage has stopped working on the iPad when tethered.
It still works on the home wifi, but the progress bar goes to about 95% done before a send failure message comes up.
I haven't found any other apps not working over the tethered 3G network
iMessage is turned on and works elsewhere.

IMessage has stopped working on my iPod

Hi, this is my first post on here, so I hope it makes sense.
This morning I tried to send several messages via iMessage however they loaded and then stopped just short of sending. I waited perhaps 20 minutes and still they hadn't sent and then it came up with a message saying that they hadn't sent. I tried again, but the same thing happened. I turned my Wifi on and off several times but it isn't the problem because everything is working fine.
I then turned the iMessage off and on again in the settings which was a BIG MISTAKE. That's when my problems really began. Because now I cannot even open my Messages app and see any of my old messages or try to send any new ones. My friend tried sending me a message but it didn't come through and it didn't say delivered on her iPod.
Instead it comes up with "iMessage. Get started." Then it wants me to enter my Apple ID, which I do. Then is says signing in and takes me to a new window which asks me which email accounts I want to use with iMessage. I click next and it says "Verifying" but it never does. Instead it comes up with "iMessage Activation. Unable to contact the iMessage server. Try again". So far I have tried again about 15 times but it doesn't work.
I have read all the online help forums I can but nothing is working. I really don't want to reset my iPod because I don't want to loose all of the messages I have on there, because they are important, which is why I'm really worried right now.

Oh, I'm glad it isn't just me having the problem. Hopefully it will be fixed soon.
I am now able to get past the "Get Started" screen and see all of my messages as well. I still cannot send or get any messages either though.

It sounds like you are unable to activate iMessage on your iPhone. Try signing out of your Apple ID, restart the device, then try again:
To sign out of your Apple ID
Go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive, tap your Apple ID, and select Sign Out.

Since the last update my iMessage has stopped working

After updating my iPhone 4s to the new 5.1.1 software my iMessage and FaceTime are not working. Why is that?

Who cares why... does it really make a difference?

TS4268 My iPhone 4 iMessage has stopped working so I switched it to off and switched it back on but stays on activating iMessage for a long period of time and it says it is u successful to log in, how can I get iMessage to work again?

Can some people give me advice on how to fix my situation? My iMessage wasn't working yesterday so I turned it off and back on and it's said it was activating iMessage and now it is not logging in and it comes up with log in unsuccessful and I depend on iMessage back I use it on my iPhone an iPad and it doesn't let me use it on my iPad either.

It is probably still worth while taking it to an Apple store for a possible OOW replacement and let them make the decision, as it was broken before the OP took the back off.

It was working perfectly fine yesterday night and I went to go and use it again tonight and it doesnt work. I've tried turning my iPod on and off, turing my facetime and imessage on and off, changing my DNS to that 8.8.8.... thing and nothing is working! Please help!

I have been using iMessage to communicate from the UAE back to my home in the US. About 4 nights ago I stawrted to receive the message "Not Delivered" under every message. Since then I have tried reboot, reset email, added email addresses, ... Nearly everything I could think of. But still I am getting the "Not Delivered" under the messages.

Earlier this afternoon, I saw a number of posts related to iMessage and FaceTime. It seems that Apple was having a systematic problem which is affecting quite a few users of these services. So, rest easy, and the problem should be resolved in a reasonable amount of time.

Hi Friend,
First check your Internet connection.
Turn off Show Subject in Settings>>Message
Reset the Network Setting, which makes your phone to forget every networks and passwords that you connected your phone to.
to reset the Network Settings just go to Settings - General - Reset (at the bottom) - Reset Network Settings.
I remember when I reset the Network Settings, i turned off iMessages. I connected to my home Wi-Fi and surfed the web for a little while. Sent some regular SMS messages, and about 10min later, I turned on iMessages again and sent a text to a friend with an iPhone and it started working as iMessage! Baloons finally became blue.

My iPhone 4S has stopped receiving/sending iMessages, cannot send/load any pictures over whatsapp and cannot join the wifi in my house anymore.
Essentially all the things I use my phone for have now stopped working. I constantly have 3G connected (even though i dont want to use it, i want to connect to the wifi in my house) but still when I try to download/ send a picture over whatsapp it comes up with an error message saying the server is unverified, or something equally ridiculous.
I deleted the app so i could reinstall it (as if that would help), but the app store is started saying "unable to connect", despite 3G, so that bright idea died out pretty sharpish.
Whenever i try to turn on iMessage, it asks for my Apple ID password, which I know I've typed in correctly because I reset the **** thing about 4 times due to it apparently being "incorrect". Even so, it repeatedly asks for the password over and over as soon as I've entered it, saying it was "unable to connect" before a final "incorrect password" message pops up just to add an extra smack of annoyance.
I haven't changed a single setting on my iPhone whatsoever. It just suddenly started spiralling into what is now £28/month-worth of pure frustration.
I don't even have any music or photos on it as I had to free up 3.5GB of space on the **** thing to allow it to update, naively thinking that would solve the problem, but alas it did not.
I have seen a few questions posted like this one, usually just one of the problems I have, but I seem to have rounded up the whole bunch (lucky me). None of the previously posted questions have received any replies.
Can some please help me! Honestly, if i see another "unable to..." or "unverified source" pop up again I'll probably smash the thing against the side of my house.

On your iPad, go to [Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings] Once that is done, re-connect your iPad to your wifi network.
