Imessage is not working after 24hrs of me trying everything to get it to work again

upload the new update and as of this time my imessage/facetime isn't working. Same message keeps coming up waiting on activation, I"v e done everything under the sun to get this to work. Even had an Apple tech person try and nothing worked...I need answers because I'm 24hrs into this and nothing works

it is not a phone issue, as far as i know. my iphone4 is not sending imessages, either. they are all being sent as texts. i know of three other people with the same issue at the moment. don't worry. although, from what i've read, apple doesn't seem very aware of this bug. hopefully they get things sorted soon.

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • IMessage is not working again

Hi, I can see that iMessages are not working.
    Plz look into it.

You are not addressing Apple here. This is a user to user technical forum where users attempt to answer other users' technical questions.
According to this Apple website http://www.apple.com/support/icloud/systemstatus/ everything is working fine. Have you checked Settings, iMessage and see if your iMessage has been activated? Does it read "waiting for activation"?

iMessage does not work after upgrade to iOS 8.1.3 on my iPad 4

I Fixed it by trying to sign in with a different ID and canceling when it asked For a password and then signed in with my ID and it works! No more error message. I got this idea from another discussion. Thank you for replying though.

  • My imessage is not working after is07 update

My iMessage is not working now i have updated to IS07!! How do i get it back??

It's mostly a server issue because millions of users are trying to do the same. Apple's servers get bogged down. Try waiting a bit - a day - before trying again. You can also check out this for other things to try.

  • IMessage is not working on my iPad since updating to ios7.0.6

iMessage is not working on my iPad since updating to ios7.0.6
It worked well before doing the latest update.
iMessage on My iPhone 4 works fine after doing the same update.
Have done all the usual things plugging into computer, complete shut down and reboot, nothing has worked.
It keeps asking for password for Apple ID, I know I am entering the correct ID,  check network is also being displayed.
Nothing wrong with my network either, other iPads and iPhones are working fine on the same network.
    Would like this fixed ASAP.
    Thanks

  • IMessage is not working in IOS 7 , Any workaround

iMessage is not working in IOS 7 , Any workaround

    Yap, sad but true...
The most annoying problem, besides iMessage, is the keyboard, it's horrible on my iPhone 4 in Safari. Some on some formulars the keyboard is so **** slow that I had to stop typing after 2nd word.
But I could fix the iMessage Problem, first turn off iMsg, then you have to backup your Phone on your PC/Mac in iTunes, turn off auto sync when done and pull the phone off. Then go to the Phone settings and reset everything, then choose "set up as new device".
When done go to settings and activate iMsg and wait for activation, it will work! After you're done plug the phone back to your PC/Mac and restore from the Backup you made before. Now go to phone settings again and check if iMsg is on, if not (as it was in my case), turn it on and activate again, it will work now!!!
Attention: Apps and Music have to be resynced or downloaded after this, they are NOT part of the Backup.
This was what Apple tech. support told me to do and it worked fine.

  • IMessage is not working in Saudi Arabia

iMessage is not working in my country (Saudi Arabia) with OS X Mountain Lion
i try to join imessage on my macbook Mountain Lion i did not find my country
Can I get help out there I have just upgraded to Mountain Lion to use i message

    Hi,
I looked in System Preferences > Language and Text and under the Region Tab I found you could set "Show All Regions"
This then added some Language choices that then had Countries listed next to them
I could chose Saudi Arabia here but it made not difference to the choices shown in Messages.
In Messages I was highlighting the iMessages Login I already have and clicking the Detail Button and then Logging in
After that I could look at the Drop Down for Language and Countries.
As you say it is a somewhat limited list.
I am also sure I did not really have my computer set to type in Arabic (It also still listed British in Language and Text > Input methods and showed the British flag rather than the Saudi one.)
It might also need a restart to make some changes take effect.
I see on the right of your Post that it shows other similar questions
It might pay to read some of those threads.

Hello, it's been 5 days now since my imessage has not working..and i have chatted to the costumer for two times. I took thier advice and instructions just to enable to send and receive on it but unfortunately until now its still NOT working. Is there anybody who could help me please?

Try this even if you have already.  Just make sure to follow the steps specifically.
Go to settings > Facetime > send and recieve > tap on your apple id and sign out.  If your not signed in then that will work as well.
Go to settings > Messages > sent and recieve > tap on your apple id and sign out.
Restart the iPad by doing the slide to power off setup.  Just hold the power button on the top right till it turns off.
After the iPad has been restarted:
Go to settings > Facetime > and sign in
Go to settings > Messages > and sign in
Wait about 3 min then restart the iPad again.  Same instructions as above.
When you restart you should be able to use messages again.  If not then call support again and talk to someone higher than the first level support they have.

  • IPhone 4S - iMessage & FaceTime not working.

My FaceTime and iMessages are not working. (iMessages show as "Not Delivered" and will not receive messages either.) Regular texts work fine though.
FaceTime loads for ~ 1 second and D/Cs.
I'm on the iPhone 4S (White). Verizon.
I have done many things to try to fix it including:
    - Turn off/on Messages and FaceTime
    - Set Date/Time to automatic
    - Restart, reboot, hard reset device
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore new
    - Gone to a genuis at an Apple Retail Store (Irvine)
I have yet to find a solution.

Exact same issue -- except I'm with AT&T and I have an iPhone 4 not 4S.  Time to get a new phone?  I finally had to turn off the iMessaging feature just to send, reliably, text messages.  I have had some texts not sent for 45-60 minutes.  Most simply turn to "not delivered" after 15-20 minutes.  For a month or two now I have also noticed that my wife (we got our iPHone 4 on the same day) will receive group text messages seconds to minutes before me.  Sometimes 5-10 minutes before me.  I feel like the dope on those goofy commercials.  But we've got the same phone and we're sitting right next to each other.
So.... for now I'm stuck with SMS-only texting.

  • Imessage is not working on my carrier

imessage is not working on my carrier (MTN), but its working on our other carrier Syriatel  , why is there any way to activate , exept activating it via e-mail address ?

    cjb85,
I appreciate you trying to reboot your tablet to resolve the issue. It is very odd that this issue began after the update. Have you tried resetting your network settings? Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network settings. Do you only get the network connection error when trying to log into iTunes?

Hi since sunday,my imessages are not working..i cannot even send normal sms to iphone users..is there any problems in the software ? pls advice

Found the rootcause. The battery was damaged and unable to have enough power to keep the device alive. After changing the device problem is solved.
