IMessage is not working with ISO 7

Since I upgraded the iMessage is not working! I have it turned on but it is only sending as a regular text, am I doing something wrong?

I managed to sort it out! Make sure that in system preferences, under mail, contacts and calander, that iMessage is selected. In my case it said google talk. click the box and your ready to go!

Hi there,
I'm new to iphone and need help with imessage. I can imessage and face time my wife, although it's always a blue bubble wether I'm on wifi or not. My brothers has an iphone which will imessage sometimes but will never connect for face time.
Is imessage spouse to work only when both phones are in wifi? Is there any way to force it into an imessage rather then SMS? Vodafone nz have told me that every time I turn it off and on again, I am charged. Is that normal?
I've tried that anyway, I've tried rebooting the phone, it just does what it wants all the time.

1. Both devices have to be running iOS 5.*
2. Internet latency can delay iMessage connection. If you enabled "Send as SMS", the phone will switch to SMS if iMessage doesn't connect quickly. If you disable Send as SMS, more of your messages will go through as iMessage.

I just got my iPhone 4S and noticed that a friend of mine I texted is not getting iMessages, it remains a green text bubble. I can iMessage other contacts, blue bubble, and he says he can iMessage his other contacts but when we text each other it remain a regular text message. I know for a fact he's got an iPhone 4 with iOS5, I have iMessage turned on, he says he has his turned on as well. I've rebooted my phone but I'm not sure if he has. Has anybody seen this before?

iMessage is only for i devices and even if the person has an i device they have to set up there iMessage too then it should work.

Hi. I have some confusion about iMessage. I could send and receive most of messages from other iphone users. But, I cannot receive messages from my parent in China, who also uses iphone. IMessage not working with one single contact

My iPhone has stopped sending iMessages to one singular contact. Before today we have been using iMessage to communicate regularly. This is the only contact that iMessage does to not work with on my phone and on his he can iMessage me but I don't receive these messages. Also in group chats we can no longer communicate due to this issue.

I understand all of this Meg; that is why I bought an Iphone; but never expected my phone not even give a at least a 24 or even 12 hours....I work 12 hour shifts and also would expect to have to charge each night but not twice a day or more. I am not always somewhere I can charge my phone.

Both you and the recipient have to have active data connections, and both devices have to have iOS 5 or higher to be able to use iMessage. Also, they both have to have iMessage activated. If that is already the case, there is a possiblility that iMessage is down. It has gone up and down several times in the past week. Sorry to ask an obvious Question, but have you signed out in iMessage and iTunes store on your iPad then logged in with the new ID/Password?
It may be that the iPad is remembering your old login in one part of the iPad.

Hello, when you deactivate the camera with the parental lock, it will deactivate iMessage imediately.
It seems that the deactivation of Facetime, witch is deactivated automaticly after the deactivation of the camera, leeds to the problem.
Because I have to turn off the camera due security restrictions of my working place, my camera is always deactivated.
So it was impossible to activate iMessage after installing iOS 5 on my iPhone.
After reactivation of the camera iMessage activation was possible.

I would definitely recommend you contact eBay about the issue and let them know! As an eBay seller myself, I attempt to make sure all the products I'm selling are in good condition and will be able to be used by someone else. It is awful and rude to sell a product such as a smartphone that is gravely important and have it not work. The reason it's not working with your account is because the phone was previously activated on the seller's account. (One phone at a time rule*). In order for you to start fresh and new you need to get in touch with someone from eBay and have this seller reprimanded for causing you so much trouble. I myself have considered purchasing tech items from eBay and Amazon and as good as the seller's ratings may be, that does not qualify them to be able to sell to just anybody. Unfortunately you received a "lemon" phone - AKA it doesn't work like they promised. Once the seller has been contacted by eBay customer support, your next step will be to go to Verizon and tell them exactly what happened.
I bought the phone I have now from Wal-Mart and I promise you I will never do that again. Within 3 months, the phone was completely dead. It may be cheaper and it may sound great but 3rd party sellers are NOT recommended by me personally. It's nothing personal against you I'm not trying to discourage your spending choices but trust me, you do get your money's worth if you buy direct. Plus, if something is wrong with the phone Verizon can't really help you out because they have no clue what software you're running on or how up to date it is. Just some friendly advice from someone who has done it before. Hopefully this will not happen to you again. I know first hand it can be quite frustrating and I empathize with you. Hope this works out for you! ;D

I have ipad2, iMessage not working with contacts except between my son and my iPad. Get a red exclamation mark and send button is greyed out. Have rebooted, reactivated apple id and email address. Running latest software. Can anyone help please.

Imessage only works to other folks who have a device on ios5, and who have activated i message. In their set up, theyndeclared one or more specific 'receive at' addresses. Are the folks you are trying to reach on apple devices with i mesage? The red exclamation means, i think, that the apple server did not find that address as registered.

- Working Space: None
- Match Legacy ... Gamma Adjustments checked ON
But it does not correct the colors in effects. And checking or unchecking Make Movie/Output Module Settings/Color Management/Profile/Preserve RGB does not make any difference.

Those parts of the video image that does not have color effects are just fine. In these parts the color is preserved when reimporting to FCP. However, those parts having color effects (except Levels, as decribed earlier) have altered color results. So, only the parts having effects affecting color are misinterpreted in the image area. The mismatch is of course seen in AE, before making the movie.
What I ment with "Color Management not working properly" is that (instead of "disabling" it) Color Management does not seem to be able to correct this "misinterpretation" or difference in effect handling between AE 6 and 10.
So, would you have any solution for this problem?

iMessage is not working on my iPad since updating to ios7.0.6
It worked well before doing the latest update.
iMessage on My iPhone 4 works fine after doing the same update.
Have done all the usual things plugging into computer, complete shut down and reboot, nothing has worked.
It keeps asking for password for Apple ID, I know I am entering the correct ID, check network is also being displayed.
Nothing wrong with my network either, other iPads and iPhones are working fine on the same network.
Would like this fixed ASAP.
