IMessage keeps telling me my password is wrong when i reset it, how do i get back onto iMessage?

How can i get back on? It keeps telling me my password or login ID is wrong when they're really not.

A while back I had to set up a second apple ID in order to use the iCloud. So now I have two (annoying), and from what I'm reading on forums, this has happened to many people and you still can't merge accounts. But I digress.
Apparently the apps in question were purchased on one apple ID, but the phone had the other apple ID set within the app store. The store, it seems, will only update the apps if you're logged in as the account that initially purchased the apps. So it means going to Settings > Store > Log out, then log back in with the other ID. Annoying. But at least I know, now, what's going on.
The password, it seems, was right all along (since I have the same password for both IDs). Too bad the phone's error message told me the password was incorrect, instead of saying something more useful like "This apple ID is not authorized to update this app." Or ... something like that. Apparently I've been chasing down the wrong solution due to the wrong error message being given.

    I have set up sync for my android and my desktop however when I try to sync my mobile is telling me my password is wrong and when I try to relog into sync via the browser on my desktop it tells me the password is wrong.     There was a problem with the Firefox Sync server yesterday that probably caused this issue. Sync should work correctly if you try it again today.

    It works fine on my I pad but my i phone does not show e mails or messages
    And the message keeps on saying the password is wrong
    I only have one password and I know what that is
    But google does not seem to recognize it
    Maybe I should change my e mail provider
    My I phone is useless if I cannot pickup messages and e mails

    This same thing happend to me,  you have to make a new account and you have to chose your birthday as if your under 18 or 16,  because if you dont own a credit card,  you shouldnt be over this age,  so basictly just make a new email and appleID and when you chose your birthday,  do it under 16 years of age (or your REAL birthday) and you should have an option of clicking "none" for credit card options,  but if you want to buy something,  you will have to do the credit card stuff,  or you can just buy an apple gift card at basictly any store,  So this is how i fixed my problum,  i hope it works for you,  write back your responce of how it worked out please!

I even went through yesterday and changed my passwords just in case (I have two apple ids - they now both have the exact same password.) I was able to go to the app store yesterday and download an app using that password, but then tried to update some apps and it says the password is incorrect - and it's said that ever since. I can go to settings and log into the store with the password - view my cc info, etc. So it's definitely correct. Heck, I can even log into this forum with that password - so it's definitely the right one. What can I do?

    Can you log-in to web based gmail without issues?
    Just delete your gmail accounts from your iPhone and Mac, and set them up again using your new password. I'm not an iPhone user and I don't use the stock Mail client in OS X (so unfortunately, I can't give you a step-by-step) but setting up the accounts again should solve your issue.

    Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

    MY son is away at school and the Apple TV I got him to use keeps telling him his password is wrong.  This is the same password we use on the home Apple TV and he wants to be able use the movies, shows etc that have been purchased from this Apple ID.  Please help

    Most school's require a login to use the network, and the Apple TV has no browser to accomplish this task. It is likely not connected to the network, which is causing the error. Best to speak to the IT dept

    Ended up calling apple and got this fixed. Had to change id since it was made years ago with the old style of IDs.
