IMessage loses sync to desktop after mms is received

I am still running into problems keeping imessage in sync between my iPhone and Messages on my mac. It seems to work until my wife sends me a picture (mms) via imessage. Once she does this the desktop no longer receives messages. Is there something I can do to get this working properly? Mac is running Mountain Lion (10.8.2) and iPhone is running iOS 6.0.

The App on the iphone is called Messages.
In the Settings > Messages you can also set SMS and MMS to be On.
These two setting refer to messages to and from non iPhones phones.
The iMessage side (the messages to the Mac App or another iOS device) an send pics.
The top pic above is in fact a PhotoStream Pic selected and then sent from my iPhone 4GS to the Messages app on the Mac.
You seem to imply that your wife has an iPhone and is sending you pics.
However your post does not actually say that and can be interpreted that it is a non iPhone device sending MMS messages that include a pic which will not sync as it is not an iMessage.

Desktop Software Crashes While Syncing... after initial reboot

This not my phone, I only have to make it work here in the office.
Device: Tour 9630
Carrier: Sprint
OS: Windows 7 Enterprise, 32-bit
Email: Outlook 2010, 32-bit
I can install the desktop software and get the phone to sync with Outlook Calendar and Address book just fine.
I can then sync and sync and sync all day... until I reboot the PC.
Then when I sync the desktop software will begin crashing at some point during the sync. Sometimes during the address book sync, sometimes during the calendar sync, and sometimes immeadiately.
Now if I close and restart the desktop manager and try again, it might work, it might not.
I'm not sure why it would sync fine right after setup but after reboot I have problems.
Any ideas?

Welcome to the forums.
Try doing a clean uninstall of the BlackBerry Desktop Software. Then reinstall it in an admin account on the PC. http://bbry.lv/rbGsYK Once this is completed configure and try to sync again to see if you have the same issue.

Video loses SYNC after burning from DVDSP

I have some video content that intermittently loses sync when burned to a DVD created by DVDSP4. Looks fine on FCP and when burned to videotape from FCP. Any suggestions to resolve this issue? Thanks.

I assume the 2GB file size limit is due to FAT32 on the video camera HD. Is there a tool to join the .MTS files before I convert them into .MOV files using Voltaic?

Can I sync a desktop, laptop and iPhone?

I want to sync my desktop, laptop and iPhone - I am able to sync 2 of the 3 - but not all 3 of them.
Is it possible to sync them all?
If not, if I bookmark something on the one that isn't synced, then it won't be added to my iphone (for example).

You are talking about the menu bar of Itunes, right?
Yes. With iTunes open the menu bar is at the top of your screen.
where exactly is the Store/synck you iphone option?
After you authorize the computer connect your iPhone then follow the instructions here > iOS: How to transfer or sync content to your computer
When you are done transferring the data to the desktop, right or control click the iPhone under Devices left side of the iTunes window then click Back Up.
That way you will have a backup just in case you need to restore your iPhone.

Video loses sync on export

I recorded a video in AVC HD at 1080P 24 fps. The clip shows 23.98 fps in FCP. I took the microphone audio file and am merging it into my project, because the on-cam mic sucked.
Audio is in stereo at 48kHz. Now, initially, I lost audio sync in the timeline as the video played. By the end of the hour long video, I lost approx. 2 seconds. After converting the audio file multiple times with no solve, I used markers to sync the audio to the video at the beginning and end of the clips, and then used the retime editor to line them up, stretching the audio very slightly. This solved the sync issue in the timeline (however, I admit, it may have not been the "correct" way to solve).
The problem now comes when exporting the file. I've chosen settings to export Video and Audio in H.264, Roles as QT movie. I've also tried format "Apple Devices", H.264. The exporting fps is still at 23.98 and audio is at 48 kHz. The audio loses sync in both cases.
Any idea why the video plays perfectly with the audio in the timeline and loses sync in the exported video?

UPDATE: I resolved the issue by returning the timeline to out of sync (by undoing the audio stretch that I had performed) and instead stretching the video out. Because it is about a 1% difference over the hour long video, it rendered and looks great both and the timeline and in the export. The export settings, as I've found, really shouldn't affect the sync.
A note about the original audio stretch that didn't pan out - when I used the retime editor, FCP did not have anything to render. I'm wondering if such a slight (though necessary) adjustment caused FCP to ignore the correction?
Edit: Perhaps I lost the sync from 23.98 fps, should've been 24 fps, the .02 fps lost = 1.2 fpm = ~72 frames over the duration of the video / 24 fps that the audio was going at = 3 seconds of loss. Just a hunch.

I'm trying to cut this vox pops video together but the audio seems to lose sync. i noticed that there was a red circle in the bottom right of the screen with a cross in the centre. After clicking on it, i was greeted with this message...

Had this occasionally myself.
For me it was drop-out on the tape (at the very start of some sections luckily), even though CS5.5 did not register any drops when capturing.
If you're not using tape then you've got a card error. Checkout the video at or about Frame 32106. Check out the source material. Although Windows 7 Media Player is likely to show no errors and with your audio in sync - very mis-leading - a false positive.
Fix for me was to simply re-sync audio/video manually but upstream of the error. If not, you will likely find you will also get export errors when trying to export via AME.

Brand new AppleTV audio loses sync with video in any of the apps over time

I bought a brand new panasonic viera plasma and a brand new Apple TV. Video is set to 1080p and I have comcast cable internet. I have three apple TVs in the house. The other two are the 720P models. I've tried two new appletvs on new tv only and after an hour or so of viewing videos in any of the apps (hbogo,Netflix,Hulu) the audio loses sync resulting in me resetting the ATV and fixing the issue temporarily.
I didn't have this problem when I was using the 720p model ATV on the new tv.
Could it be the larger 1080P files?

does it happen with shared material in an itunes lib?
if not and only the internet streaming services then maybe it's a Internet network issue

Am unable to do an initial sync between Desktop Manager and BB Curve 8320. Am getting error The computer must be connected to the Internet in order to initially configure synchronization settings. Please ensure that you are able to connect to the Internet and try again. Tried with version 4.3 and 4.6.0.12. I have a broadband connection that is always on and have also tried wirelessly. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Just for trouble shooting purpose, turn off firewall and virus checkers,
Bring DM, go through the setup wizards, connect your BB and do a BACKUP first

Have you tried doing a Restore?

Cannot set up Firefox sync on desktop - no recovery key and will not let me login to get it

I downloaded Firefox for my new android phone and wanted to sync my desktop with the mobile app. When I first went in it said I had an account already set up, but since I didn't remember any of the information about it I just ended up changing the password so I could login, and then deleted the whole account.
I went ahead and set up a new sync account, but it never gave me a recovery key. I didn't think anything of it, but then the initial sync failed and I got an error message saying the username or password was incorrect.
This happened twice and each time I went back and either ended up resetting the password or deleting the whole account. But whenever I did go through the steps of creating another account it still never gave me a recovery key.
I looked around and tried following the steps to get a recovery key, but I don't have the option to manage my account (maybe because one was never fully created and never went through an initial sync?), and I keep getting an error message saying the username and password is incorrect whenever I try to go through the steps to reset the recovery key. This is despite the fact that I can login with those same credentials on the Firefox sync webpage - for whatever reason it just doesn't accept them in the normal browser sync tab.
I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium, and version 13.0.1 of Firefox. Any help you can give me would be most appreciated as this has been driving me nuts for the last several hours as I try to work through this.

If you restored as new, without using a backup, and still only get an option to restore, there is a hardware problem or the phone was previously hacked (jailbroken, downgraded iOS, unauthorized unlock). Your only option is to take it to Apple or whoever provides iPhone service in your country.

IPod not recognized (for sync OR charging) after OS 4 upgrade

I upgraded to OS4 on Saturday July 10th with no problems. On Sunday (July 11) I used my iPod quite a bit. I was at a friend's house and the battery was getting low so he charged it through his computer. It charged completely and we continued using it the rest of the day. I plugged it in to my PC to charge it Sunday night and it was not recognized at all (for charging OR for syncing) through any of the USB hubs. I asked my friend the method he used to charge it that day and he confirmed it was via computer. Monday night I tried charging it through a friend's iMac. It charged halfway, though it still wasn't recognized. Tuesday morning I tried to charge it on the same computer and I got the "too much power drawn from the USB hub - HUB deactivated" message on ANY of the HUBs. It still doesn't work on my own home computer (though it HAD been working Friday night and Saturday morning pre-OS4 installation).
I'm personally running Ubuntu 10.04 but obviously only was able to charge the iPod on that system. Anytime I want to sync or download music I restart to Windows Vista (and iTunes).
I do also have apps installed, but nothing new from the previous OS - (I know that blaming third party apps is a common cop-out answer for apple techs).
I hope this wasn't too confusing. My real problem is simply described by my subject line: iPod not recognized (for sync OR charging) after OS 4 upgrade. What follows is simply everything I've done to troubleshoot. The only thing I haven't tried is restore...because my iPod isn't even recognized by iTunes.
I would greatly appreciate any help or stories related stories/situations. Strength (and hopefully solutions) in numbers!

Assuming you haven't got the cords mixed up with another, older iPod, it sounds like you have a couple of problems:
1. Your computer's USB ports have quit working. Reboot your computer and see if they reactivate.
2. Your friend's iMac generated that message because you tried to charge the device from the low power keyboard USB port. iPods need to be charged off one of the main USB ports or a powered hub.
3. iPods not being recognized by iTunes can be caused by 1) wrong cable; 2) non-functioning USB ports; 3) iTunes not being the correct version for the iPod OS; and finally 4) Apple Mobile Device Services driver is either stopped, missing, or disabled.

It is a folder which I have created. Name is "SAP".
I copied some of my office stuff and then deleted the contents inside the folder. But I couldnt delete the folder SAP.

Yes, you can delete it.
But, the Adobe folder you want to remove is actually the setup for Acrobat. So, you might save it at some other location so that if in future you need to re-install the software, there is no need to download the entire product.
