IMessage/ Maps shows unregistered iPhones

Hello everyone!
After upgrading to OSX Mountain Lion yesterday (reinstall from scratch using a USB-drive) and setting everything up, I noticed that the Maps-app shows two of my old devices (namely iPhone 5 *** (iOS 7) and iPhone 5s *** ) as possible recipients for directions:
Also, after activating iMessage on the Mac, the iDevices I own showed in that pop-up message that my phone number and eMail address has been added to both of my old iPhones.
FYI: The iPhone 5 (iOS 7) had a defect and was replaced in an Apple Store three weeks ago. The 5s was returned two weeks after purchase. Both devices were reset to factory settings and removed from my list of registered devices at https://supportprofile.apple.com/ .
The weird thing now is that I unregistered those two devices the minute they were replaced/ returned so I'm really asking myself how it is possible that they still show up. Any ideas?

Did you migrate the Mountain Lion Mac User Account across ?
I am not sure how you can check the iCloud Backups
On Checking which devices I can share My Mac Maps to I can only see my iPhone 4GS and not my iPad which is also running iOS 7
It cannot see my other iPhone that is running iOS 6.something.

Old iMessages not showing on iPhone 6 after upgrade from iP5

Hey guys,
I've picked up my iP6 today and I can't see any of the old iMessages I've had. They are still showing on my MBP but not on the new iPhone (MBP is still running Mavericks as I don't want to upgrade before I submit the project for work next week... just a precaution ). Any ideas?

I haven't done a recent backup - any chance I can get them synced via iCloud? I've assumed this would happen since it's being constantly synced with everything else I've got running on iOS

How do I stop iMessages from showing up on both of my iPhones without having to have two seperate iTunes accounts and still be able to use iMessage between these same two iPhones.

My wife and I have iPhones. We share an iTunes account and we want to keep it that way. My iMessages began showing up on her iPhone and vise versa. I figured out to go to settings, messages and have only the send/receive checked for our individual phone numbers. When we do that however, we no longer can send iMessages to each other and it goes over SMS. I don't want that. I want to be able to send and receive iMessages with my wife without having to have a seperate iTunes account and without each other seeing each others iMessages to other iMessage users. How do I do this?

If your phone is turned off or not connected to the Internet, you will be unable to locate it. Last known location is only stored for 24 hours.

HT5429 I have recently returned from a holiday in New Zealand and transited for 6 hours in China. Since returning to the UK my maps app on Iphone 5 will not show my surroundings in hybrid or satellite. How can i get this back?

I have also noticed that the data from section that usually displays data from TOM TOM and others now just says others. Has anyone encountered this before or know how to get the Satellite function on maps back?

Your phone is "stuck" in the Chinese version of maps. This also happened to me once I got back from China recently. I believe I solved the problem by logging out of iCloud and reloging in.
BTW the App Store app was also stuck in China. It only displayed Chinese characters and I had to log out and relogin.

No that was not it. I was signed into my iMessages under my email address as soon as I signed out others can now receive my texts under my number. Thanks for the help though

Do you have a WiFi only iPad?
If yes, go to another site, like say a Starbucks, connect to their internet and click on the arrow to show your location. If it is correct then your router is reporting incorrect information. Wait and the database will eventually be updated.

Where is the Start new conversations from??? When I go to Send & Receive, there is no where to add or set to receive at my phone number. There is only a setting to Add Another Email and my Apple Id is already there. No place or way to add a phone number to receive at. I also have a lasting Waiting for activation... under iMessage ON but no place for my phone number although it shows up as My number under Phone.

There are times that I don't get voice instructions in Maps on my iPhone 5s. Actually, the directions don't even advance automatically as I expect. Can anyone explain why this happens? How do I correct this? It's dangerous to drive and look at the iPhone screen at the same time, much less manually advancing the the directions!

Put the phone in Airplane mode...this turns off all iPhone radios...but, you can go back into settings & turn WiFi back on. You can then use iMessage.
No nasty surprises if you do that.

Syncing imessage on macbook to iphone 6

So receive imessages perfectly fine on my phone, an iphone 6, from both Apple and non-apple users. However, the imessage on my Macbook pro does not sync up properly. On Imessage on my Mac, I can send and receive messages from other people who have an apple device (their texts are blue), but I cannot send or receive messages from people who have another device. I have tried resetting imessage on both my computer and my phone. What's the problem?

To Reset iMessages on it's own (not Text Forwarding/SMS).
ON the Mac Untick the "Enable this Account" box for the iMessages account or use the Sign Out button.
On the iPhone remove the Apple ID from the Settings > Messages.
On the iPhone check the iPhone Number is saying it is active (it should be greyed out AND ticked)
If not then Place the iPhone in Airplane Mode.
On taking it out of Airplane Mode enable the Messages app and wait for the iPhone Number to Verify.
Once this is done turn On the Mac version (or enter the password to Sign back in again).
Test from the iPhone Number (the only Send option you have at this stage) to the Apple ID (the Mac effectively).
If this works text back the other way (setting the mac to Send From the Apple ID).
If this works add the Apple ID back to the iPhone.
This should create the Pop ups to appear on the Mac saying what the iPhone is using.
Accept these (even if the Mac is still showing the iPhone Number from before).
At this point you can Enable Text Forwarding.
You might to do this several times for the Mac to show you the Code Number that has to be put back on the iPhone to link them.
If the iMessages "sync" but SMS does not then Disable the Text Forwarding and then set it again.
As above this bit might need doing several times to prompt the Mac to show a new Code Number.

How can I choose another computer in the same Wi-Fi network to sync my iPhone, while both two computers' iTunes shows my iPhone on their left list?

I got an iMac first, let me call that iMac "A", and I used to sync my iPhone to A. Then I got a macbook, let me call that macbook "B". When I use B for the first time, I used Migration Assistant to transport all the files and settings from A.
After that, when I use A and B in the same Wi-Fi network, both of their iTunes shows my iPhone on their list. And I can sync my iPhone to both A and B without the warning window showed up. But, I can't manage both two iTunes library at the same time, so I want to choose only B to sync my iPhone. And I found out that, in fact, my iPhone always trying to sync with A, not B, when I turn on the Wi-Fi sync option. Now I can only use cable to sync my iPhone with B, and that's not over. I found sometimes all of my apps are selected when I tried to sync my iPhone with B, no matter how many times I changed that setting, the next time all the apps will come back to be selected again!
How can let my iPhone forget A and accept B?

Actually I think we need to wait on an update from iTunes to update its compatability with the new iPhone software. They usually release a new version of iTunes with the iOS. So I hope to see an update from apple by the end of the week or maybe even today.
Needless to say. I am experiencing the same issue as well. I've tried all the proposed fixes listed above. It's gotta be a software compatability issue.

You can turn iMessage off on your iPhone. That's relatively easy. Since iMessage is an Apple product/service, I have no idea how a Samsung phone will deal with an incoming one. For that answer you should probably contact Samsung support.

Take in mind this is my first time to sync with this laptop(HP 15 ENVY) and as well my laptop is just brand new. just got it a week ago. so how do i fix this prob. and also when i open my itunes store and then view my account it says error occurred either debug it through Microsoft visual studio or close program. I tired copying all the .dll files to the itunes folder didn't help

I cannot address the sync services error right now, but the error that you receive when you change from sync to manually manage music is what happens when you change. Once you change to manually manage music, it erases all of the music and will only put the music that you want on the phone, content that you manually drag over to it. It will. If the two phones are used by two different people, however, you will need to implement some careful management of your iMessage settings to ensure that you don't each receive each-other's messages. It is a much safer option to use different Apple IDs for each individual.
On iOS devices, you are able to use separate Apple IDs for iMessage and Facetime, iCloud, and the iTunes and App Stores.

If the problem persists, you'll probably have to make another apple id, it wont take off any games or music or apps or anything you've bought it will all stay there, i have two apple id's and i don't have a problem with anything.
