IMessage not connecting despite celluar and Wi-fi being enabled

Hi!
Just noticed over the last couple days my iMessage hasn't been working. I've tried a few basic trouble shooting things this morning (rebooting iPhone, resetting network settings, turning celluar and wifi data on and off) but I continue to get an error message saying "iMessage unavailable. Turn on cellular data or use Wi-fi to set up iMessage".
Any ideas of how to get my iMessage back up and running?

I just reset my password and that seemed to jump start iMessage again!
