IMessage not working on iPad 1, says sign in, I click that and then it says what email do you want to use. When I try to change it, or click next, or even wait a few seconds it goes back to the sign in screen.

It keeps happening :(

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

    but I suspect your going to first have to create a data recovery drive
    Create a data recovery, undelete boot drive
    to get your data off the machine,
    then do a #20 to eliminate the bad sectors as that's why your getting the "pinwheel" it's getting a delay reading from the drive, right when your trying to log in too, what a bad spot for it to happen.

    A few weeks ago I was on Google Chrome and it froze up a little bit. The bell rang for me to go to my next class so I shut my MacBook Pro and was on my way. Later, I opened my laptop to see Chrome still frozen on my screen even though I have it set to require a password after the laptop has been in sleep mode.
    I restarted my MacBook and tried logging in. I got the beachball spinny wheel cursor thing, the screen froze for a few seconds, and it went back to the user login screen. I have tried safe booting it, restarting it many times, and many other things but this problem is still happening and I cannot log into my main account.
    I had that main account account and a guest account so I logged into the guest, set it as an administrative account, and have been using that account ever since. I've also uninstalled and reinstalled Chrome. It sucked but hasn't been too big of a problem because I have just been spotlight searching files whenever I need them.
    Now another problem is coming up. My iTunes. I cannot access my normal iTunes library from this guest account. I want to put some new songs on my iPhone but can't.
    Does anybody know how I may be able to fix the logging in issue to my main account?
    Does anybody know how I can get my normal iTunes transfered to this new account, even though I can't log into my old account?

    Very frustrated.
    Since the ios7 update my imessage and facetime on my ipad are not working, iphone is fine.
    I have reset ipad , i have forgot device on wifi and reset it. Ive read all advice here and nothing works. It tells me to check my connection.
    Im using my apple account ive always used im using the wifi i use on my phone , ive checked all my passwords etc etc etc
    Now im just frustrated as dont know what else to do... Please help.

    Try a Restart. 
    Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
    Resetting your device
    Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Apple recommends this only if you are unable to restart it.
     Resetting your settings
    You can also try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered. You won't lose any data, but it takes time to enter all of the settings again.

    In the house we have 3 iPhones and I have a iPad 2 they all share the same iTunes acct. and we have wi-fi at home. I cannot send iMessage from my iPad to my daughters iPhone in the other room? My iPad is wi-fi only.

    Sounds like a glitch when using your iPad, and things need to be smoothed out.
    When you setup iMessage on the iPhone and use to send a text, first time iMessage works out your cell number automatically and is registered and the number can then be used on iPad's. It's possible then that iMessage hasn't registered the cell number (a Glitch?), nevertheless an e-mail should be received from Apple when it's registered.
    Back on the iPhone, iMessage will then be the priority over SMS and the send button is blue. If the send button is green then it is a SMS message and SMS will be used if the number is not registered with iMessage.

    So I have a iPad mini and I rented a film and it wouldn't download it was saying download error and not working, so I went on to the videos app and tried to stream the film that worked for about 5 minuets after that a message just pops up saying "could not lode video" and I only have about five hours left to watch it.
    Pleases can some one help.

  • FaceTime/iMessage not working on iPad mini!!

    Apple ID is working to sign into App Store but not when I try to sign into iMessage or FaceTime. Worked fine until I traveled to another time zone. I've checked time and date settings, have a working Internet connection, and I've tried all of the troubleshooting advice on the website. Someone please help!! Error message reads: "iMessage activation: could not sign in. Please check your Internet connection and try again"

    Try to reset your network settings (make note of the current settings to revert back to)
    Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
    Afterwards, restore your settings manually and reconfigure your FaceTime and iMessage settings as well as all other network related settings.
    There seems to some issues with iMessage/FaceTime when moving between timezones and setting the date/time manually to your specific area should usually clear it up (from what I've read). That being said (and if you've already tried the date/time trick), try to reset your network settings.

    My iMessage is not working on both my iPad and iPod. I have done everything the apple website has said to do and I don't have the options suggested. They just simply will not send. Can someone please help me fix it?
    My iPad is updated to IOS 7.0.2 and my iPod is IOS 6.1.2.

    Yes, I've tried everything, logged in and out of everything, re-synced the ipad....settings ar ethe same on both devices but the ipad does not message and the phone does.
    From what I have read I'm not the only one with this issue since the iOS7 upgrade.

  • IMessage not working on iPad  when tethering
