IMessage on 2 x iPhone 6 and 2 x iPads

Hi, this is my first ever post so hopefully my question will make sense.
My husband and I have an iPad each and have just recently acquired an iPhone 6 each. My question is how do I set up iMessage so that we only get our individual messages on our own iPad and phone. My husband is sick of getting my messages on his iPad.
We share the one Apple Id.
Any help much appreciated.

If you are using one Apple ID on all devices, just make sure that every device has it's own unique phone number (iPhones) or mail address (iPads) selected in Settings/Messages/Receive at/
Deselect the mail addresses/phone numbers that point to other devices on each device and you should be fine. This also works with FaceTime.
I set up two iPhone, one iPad and one MacBookPro that way, and I can send and receive iMessages and FaceTime calls on each device without problems.

Just as it states above. I just updated my iPhone 4S and The New iPad to iOS 6. I tried logging into my Universities wifi network and normally it requires a login page. The page to login does not load like it used to. The page that does pop up shows a bunch of errors. Not sure why this would be happening. Please help! I highly depend on my iPad. Thanks in advance.

The wifi does not automatically load upon entering the school. I have to select it from the list of available wifi connections. I tried re-booting, clearing my internet settings (cache and cookies and history). I know others at the school running 5.1 are still able to connect so I know there's not an issue on the schools side. I did talk to several iOS 6 owners today and all are experiencing the same issue.

I did the 7.1.1 update on my iPhone 5s and on my iPad. The calendar on my iphone no longer gives me a list of upcoming/past events. Works okay on my ipad though. Any suggestions on how to get this feature back on my iphone 5s?

Tap on a Day to put it in Day view then tap the icon on the top right that looks like three dots with lines after them.

Can not use imessage/facetime on new iPhone 5 and can not get iPhone 4s and 5 to remember any wireless networks.

Two weeks ago I got an iPhone 4s and an iPhone 5 from a local carrier in central and eastern Kentucky called Appalachian Wireless. We had our numbers ported with AT&T. My iPhone 4s can use imessage/facetime but my wife's iPhone 5 can not. It just says waiting for activation and after several hours it will then say activation unsuccessful please turn imessage/facetime off and back on to activate. When we got the iPhones my carrier said it could take 30 days to activate due to our numbers being ported. My 4s took less than 3 hours to activate imessage/facetime but my wife's 5 still hasn't activated. A few days ago we went back to our carrier to get a problem fixed with our regular text messaging and we informed of our problem with imessage/facetime and they told us the most it has taken to activate was 2 days. I know I can use an apple id/e-mail to use imessage/facetime but I want her number to show up. Also neither iPhone will remember our wireless network. Every time we leave our house and come back we have to go to settings and choose our network. Is there a way I can fix these problems and have her imessage/facetime activated and use her phone number and have our iPhones remember our wireless network?

I have just upgraded to a Iphone 5c and now it wont send imessages to my partners Iphone 4, and when it sends as a text he is not recieving them. We have tried turning phones on and off, rebooting and restoring network settings and nothing seems to work?

Hi,
Three friends of mine have recently upgraded to the iPhone 5. I'm still on iPhone 4.
Since the switch over, iMessage has stopped working between my phone, the iPhone 4 and their's, the iPhone 5.
iMessage still works to my other friends on their iPhone 4's....
Can someone explain/help fix this please? We all live & work in bad reception areas in the countryside so having iMessage work to send messages over wifi is super important!

Cannot install iOS 6 on my iPhone 4S and on my iPad 2.

Hey. I have an iPhone 4S and an iPad 2. Both non-jailbroken and the iPhone 4S is factory locked. So it only works on one carrier. I want to update to iOS 6 on both of them. It gets to almost end of the installation and then i get download error on both of them. I tried with iTunes to update it and when it gets to backup there it fails . It says : "Backup Failed. Re-connect iPhone and try again." or something like that. Any help please? I'm running iOS 5.1.1 on both , 16GB version on both of them and iPad is Wifi. Also running Windows 7 32bit. Help!

Resolved. Tried to install 5.1.1 and it restored back to my previous backup (all apps , photos etc!)
Fix : Get error 3194 and then it will work!

I am logged into Icloud on both devices. There is plenty of storage. My Iphone5 has never backed up automatically or manually. It is plugged in and on Wifi. The message is always backup did not complete. My new ipad backed up once on 10/29/12 and does exactly the same thing as my phone. If you start the backup manually it stops after 10-20 minutes and says did not complete back up. I have made sure my login password is the same on both devices....I was bumped up a level last night on Apple Support call and she could not figure it out. We have another call tonight. So far I have no backup of my contacts and do not know what the issue is.

I have a desktop that operates using with Vista.
I downloaded 10.5 and sought to sync my two iphones and two ipads with the desktop in order to use ICloud. However I got warning messages that if I synced with this computer that had none of my extensive library of apps, music, podcasts, etc. would be on it, I would lose it all.
I did authorize the computer. I knew enough to do that but am terrified that I will lose everything that I have accumulated and still won't be able to use ICloud.
Isn't there a way to do this? Shift my library FROM my devices to the desktop?

This is a tedious solution, which is stupid! And some users report an inability to reauthorize a computer after an "en masse” deauthorization. I can’t believe Apple doesn’t provide a list or menu to find out which computers you’ve authorized! Obviously, APPLE knows (or else they couldn’t tell us how many computers we have authorized)--so why can’t they give us access to that information about our own computers??!!!
And for an already-authorized computer with a hard drive that’s since been replaced and upgraded from Mavericks to Yosemite, would it be recognized as a “new computer” and require authorization? Would its previous incarnation (i.e., with the old hard drive and OS) be considered a separate computer? Some users report they can’t authorize a computer after an OS upgrade because of that. Can’t believe we have to do such a bass-ackwards kludge!

Can I share my apple id between my iphone 3 and my new ipad mini?

You can use your apple id on her device and also keep the syncs separate by using different accounts on the mac. If you would like to set up a new account, you may do that as well either with or without a credit card. If you want to create one with a credit card please see this article:

Draft created on iPhone, modified and sent from iPad - Epic Fail

My wife worked for days on a reply to an email she received. She did this on her iPhone and was saving it as a Draft. We both have mobile me accounts and both of these accounts are set up on our iPad. I opened the draft from her Draft folder in the iPad, read it over, made a couple of changes and hit Send. A message was displayed about not being able to send it, something wasn't set up properly. It never got put back in the Draft folder, or the Sent Folder. It didn't sync with her Outbox on her Mac either.
She can create an email on the iPad and send it just fine. So can I. My account is the primary account in the iPad.
We just can't edit/send a Draft on the iPad that was created on either Apple Mail, or iPhone Mail.
Anyone else ever experience this?

Just discovered this issue as well and "epic fail" is the exact way to put it. Can't believe this is an issue. Doesn't matter if in me.com, gmail, or other accounts...there is no way to edit and save IMAP draft message on iphone or ipad. Major disappointment.

Why is there a color difference between my iPhone 4s and my new iPad?

I noticed that photos taken with my iPhone don't always display the same colors when displayed on my iPad.
What gives, they're both retina displays, right? Why not the same color balance?
Any easy fix or will periwinkle blue always look muddy, tending to magenta?

So very excited bought iPad and new speakers today! Want to get all my music sorted as across iMac (G5), MacBook os 10.6 (maxed out ram and memory) and old iPod. Saw Match would be an option but can't use due to old OS so I can get the raw music library files but then what do I do to get all in one place? Any help appreciated.

A good route would be to attach a USB drive to the macbook. You can use the drive to assemble a copy of all of your music from your various devices. iTunes on the macbook can be used to create a new library, located on the USB drive, into which you can import all of your music.
Two major benefits:
1. From here you can run iTunes Match across your entire music collection; and
2. You will have created a full local backup of all of your music on the USB drive.
Once complete you will be able to access the music from any iDevice capable of running iTunes Match, Do remember as you add music it is important to maintain a local backup in order to keep your music safe.
