IMessage on iPad wont open

imessage activation- an error occurred during activation. Try again appears when I tey opening iMessage from either the ap or settings. Please help!

Ipad wont open attachments after update

After update my ipad wont open attachments ie word and excel. It did prior to the update. Is there a setting I am missing or have to adjust.

I have the same problem - only it is intermittent. Today both my mobleme and gmail accounts on my iPad received emails with a .doc attachment and showed it as a mime file with 0 bites. My iMac received the .doc account. But, at other times, I've not had this problem. The inconsistency is going to drive me to pound the iPad to bits with a hammer because I bought it to substitute for a laptop when traveling for work, so if I can't rely on it to receive emails, it is worthless to me.
I've read through 20 pages of discussions and so far, this is the first reference to the issue I'm having.

So yesterday i tried going on it. But it wont open. It just loads there for five minutes and then says it wont open because the server stopped responding. What can i do???

New iPad wont open a PDF attachment.

I recently bought a new iPad 64GB. It has worked perfectly until yesterday when I tried to open a PDF email attachment. The attachment sort of twitches and then does nothing. This happens everytime I try to open it.
I have tried: restart, hard reset, tap and hold, swapping from all mail to the single inbox and back again. I have tried pretty much everything to get it to work.
Please help.

Try this:
1. Double-click the Home button to close all Inactive Apps in Task Bar
2. Hold the Apps in Task Bar down for a second or two until you see the minus sign
3. Tap the minus sign to close Apps
4. Tap center of screen to return to Home Screen
5. Reset iPad. Hold the Sleep and Home button down for about 10 second until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the red slider

My ipad wont open after update to 6.1.3 failed

I updated my ipad mini (newly opened) to 6.1.3 from 6.1 last night, but when the download finished and the ipad rebooted to start the update, a prompt message pop out saying that update failed. Now I can't open my Ipad mini.
Tried pressing the home button and the sleep button for more than a minute but still nothing happned, tried charging it on a wall plug but still nothing happened.
can anyone help me on this? or should i go to the nearest apple support shop?

Sorry, but the ipad still won't open. (tried to do the instruction on how to put the ipad in recovery mode but the ipad still won't respond).
my Ipad mini screen is completely black.

My ipad won't open any attachments such as word docs or jpegs. I have reset ipad, have re reset email account, talked with apple care, that was no help. Any ideas? All other functions of email work fine.

HI, i have numerous spreadsheets on my ipad numbers app. I have some spreadsheets that will not allow me to open. Some spreadsheets are available though

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. My MBP opens them fine.

This is only caused by the iPad email client. The URL's first serialized parameter is somehow corrupted, after the ... relay.php?r should be an equal sign and some numbers. Not sure if this is base on the length of the URL, but the email client is messing with the parameters.

TS4268 iMessage on ipad wont use phone number

When I configure the iPad to use my apple ID for FaceTime and iMessage (per tech doc), it does not pull in my phone number...just email address. So I don't get iMessages on my iPad when people send to my phone number. Works on my iphone but not ipad. How do I resolve this??

Mini iPad wont open!!!!!

My ipad went off because it was low battery, I charged it before i went to bed and when I woke up I wanted to check if it was full battery, but it would'nt open. I got it for christmas.

If there's not a lot of data on it I would recommend a full restore WARNING: this will erase all data and only use is nothing else works
First: hold the home and off button for 10 seconds
Second: after 10 seconds release the home button BUT keep holding the off button
Third:keep holding the off button for 15 seconds if the screen changes before then quickly plug your ipad into your computer with I tunes open if the screen doesn't change before 15seconds just plug it into I tunes
Fourth: u should get a message saying iTunes found a ipad in recovery mode to use it u need a restore(or something like that) then press ok or whatever and restore it
WARNING THIS WILL ERASE ALL DATA

Welcome to the Apple community.
A number of people have reported similar issues recently, many appear to have found a discrepancy of some kind in their account settings and making changes to these settings or simply resetting them has resolved the matter.
Check your account details are correct, check that you are using the correct details for Location, Region and Time Zone. You may want to change these settings and then change them back to see if that helps.
You might also try logging out of and then back into your iTunes account (Settings > iTunes Store > Apple ID’s > Sign Out) and restarting your router. (Some have reported that after doing this, they need to check for rentals even though it may report that there aren’t any, after which rentals once again appear in the ‘movies’ feature)
Rentals should appear under their own heading in the ‘Movies’ feature, you might also check at Settings > iTunes Store > Check For Rentals.

Search your hard drive for a file containing ITL in it. That is the file extension for the itunes database file. You might need to set Win Explorer options to show NOT hide file extensions.
Once you are sure you know where that file is, press AND HOLD the shift key while starting itunes. Keep holding the shift key until you see a question about choosing or creating a library. Choose the ITL file you found during your search.
