    I NEED HELP!!!!!!
i changed my apple id and my password (for the apple id), but on my ipod and mac book pro my old apple id keeps showing up for icloud, and i cant put either password!!! Trust me i tried..   What should i do????  So please help!!!!!!

On your Mac, go to System Preferences>iCloud, sign out, then sign back in with the ID you want to use.
If you're running iOS 7 on your iPod and old ID is your ID, and if your new ID was created by editing the details of this old ID (rather than being an entirely new ID), go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

  • IMessage on iPad and Mac not working since 9/9/14

    Hello!
All of a sudden, iMessage stopped working since 9/9/14. So here is the weird thing. It is working on my iPhone 5S, BUT I cannot send any iMessages to my mother in Austria. The weird thing is, my mother still can send iMessages to other friends, just not to me, not even on my iPhone. The other weird thing is, i cannot send any iMessages anymore on my Mac or iPad. It says on my Mac that ".... XXXXXX is not registered with iMessage", while I can send an iMessage from my iPhone 5S without any problems to that number.
So I tried EVERY trick in the book: Restart, logging out everywhere, Cmd+alt+p+r reset, resetting Mac, resetting iPhone and iPad, nothing worked (so please do not tell me anything with logging out and back in, resetting etc., I appreciate any help, but I already did this in any possible combination).
Clearly, there is something wrong with the iMessage servers. What else can I do?

  • Imessage in ICloud and Mac OS  10.8?

    Hi.
I dont get my I message working via iCloud id? I just got Mac OS 10.8 and iMessage but I dont get it to work with ICloud id.
The symptom is that when I try to logg in to my Apple Id it get stuck with nothing that happens. No respond at all. Not any error report just nothing.
    What am I doing wrong?
    Please give me some assistance.

    hi,
I have friends like this when their AppleID is different than their @me.com address.  iMessage use the AppleID and not the @me.com address.  In order to reach them, you need to use their AppleID which are in their case another email address that even may longer exist.
Maybe I'm wrong, but you should check what your AppleID is at https://appleid.apple.com and try to login iMessage with that and try this same ID for people to contact you.
I talk with Apple Customer Care about this arguing that this would make no sense of not being able to use the same AppleID and @me.com address.  He did agree but to no ends; they cannot change your AppleID since it is registering all the purchased.
If that your case too, that will make this thread interesting because it's quite a customer issue of not been able to use your @me.com as your primary email address.

  • HT5100 How can I get rid of all the doubles on my Ipad, Ipod and Mac?

how can I get rid of all my double songs, pics, and videos on my Ipod, Itunes, ipad and mac?
    thanks,
    Linda

I've used Brasso to remove minor scratches/scuffs from my Nano and 5th Gen iPod. It works pretty well, and it's available at any hardware store. Your local supermarket might even carry it in the isle with cleaning products.
I don't know how well it would work for you. Having the iPod dragged around the floor sounds pretty rough. If it has deep scratches, there might not be anything you can do for it.

  • IPOD and Mac did not properly adjust for Daylight Savings Time

Hi, I have noticed that my iPod and my Mac Mini do not appear to have the latest update for Daylight Savings Time.  There were a few adjustments this year that do not seem to be reflected on the Mac devices  ???  I was using my iPod for time and was thrown off when time change before DST went into affect.

So, in your system preferences on the mini, under Date and Time, you have the box checked that says "Set date and time automatically"? Then, on the time zone tab, you have selected your correct time zone? I typically leave the box there unchecked that says to try and set automatically using current location.

  • HT1335 Connecting PC Ipod and Mac Ipod to MacBook Air.

    Hi,
I need to clarify a few points. I think I signed off too quickly! The 'how to determine your iPods hard disc format' does not read the same on my two IPODS, and the Mac one,
does not read as per "support.apple.com/kb/HT1335 states?
In the SETTINGS, 'about' for the Pc iPod, it states, Format windows, as the last item, which read as described.
However, my mac iPod reads (last there items) = Serial number, Model and finally Version? So, the serial number is not the last item, what does this mean?

"Then when it finally did, her iPod showed up in iTunes but all the music was grayed out"
Grey text when you look at the content and lock symbol at the bottom of the screen simply shows that your iPod is set to "automatically update songs and playlists". . If you want to access your iPod directly, play it through your iTunes, connect it to a second computer etc. you just need to change the update method to "Manually manage songs and Playlists" in the iPod preferences. For more detail see this tutorial: Managing Your Songs Manually
"Also, her iPod switched back to play mode (meaning it no longer read "do not disconnect.)
That's normal in automatic mode, it automatically disconnects when it's finished updating. When this is changed to manual or the iPod is enabled as a removable hard drive the "Do Not Disconnect" will message will remain until you manually eject. Safely disconnect iPod
"Do we need to do something to her iPod for my mac to recognize it?"
Have a look at these articles if the iPod doesn't connect properly:

  • Best USB 2.0 Hub to use with iPods and Mac Mini 2009?

I am using my Mac Mini as my iTunes station, and I have five iPods
that are connected to my master iTunes Station.
Recently I needed to add a USB drive to add more space to the mini.
Along with a wireless keyboard ( that uses a USB transmuting dongle)
I am short two USB ports. Can anyone recommend a good USB hub
that is compatible with iPod Touch, iPod Mini, IPod Shuffle, iPod Classic 30GB,
and iPod Classic 160GB for iTunes synching and charging?

Anyone have any luck with this hub:

looks like the White Belkin one, but is on Amazon for about half the price, and
other than being brown, I don't see a difference?

  • IPod and Mac: Music Not Syncing

I have purchased and downloaded many songs from iTunes over time, and one day, it didn't let me sync half of my songs (that I fairly purchased on iTunes). All of my songs are still on my Macbook Pro, but I can't sync half of my songs from my Mac to my iPod 4th Gen. I've tried re-syncing, but every time I do, a pop-up shows up and it says, "iTunes Library file cannot be saved. An unknown error occurred(-54)." I know it's not because of storage problems because it still have 8GB left for 123 songs. I also tried authorizing and then manually syncing, and it still didn't work, and I don't know what to do. If anyone knows  a solution, please share it with me!

Why does iTunes keep showing a -54 error when I sync my iPad?
Unknown error -54 while syncing in itunes.

  • IPod and Mac OS9......Can It Work?

I have an old imac with an operating system of 9.2. I plan in the near future to buy an updated computer but before i do that i would like to get all of my 800 songs that i have on my old computer's itunes software onto a new ipod. I have read that the only way that an ipod can sync with an imac is if the imac has isync software, software which is available only to 0S 10.x users.
Does this mean that i cannot get all of my files from my itunes (which by the way is version 2.0.4, the latest version for my operating system) onto an ipod? If this is the case, does anyone know how i can get my files transfered to my other computer, or somehow trick the system and get them on my ipod. I cannot fathom the idea of me just throwing out 800 songs with my computer. I have to have that music. PLEASE HELP ME, WHAT SHOULD I DO???????

I've been trying that too. First, what model iPod do you have? Clickwheel? Mini? Video? Nano? (or older?)
Is your iMac running? If so, there are ways to copy the files.
I also have an iMac - the 400 mhz iMac DV SE from 2000, running 9.2.2, iTunes 2.0.4.
I've never had any luck with using the IPod as an external HDD for copying files (of any sort) to/from an OS 9 system. I don't know exactly what the issue is. I've formatted my old iPod Clickwheel (4G, 20gig) as a Mac iPod. No luck, via USB or FireWire. I tried Windows format. No luck either.
Note: This is after enabling iPod as a disk - via the iPod's preferences pane in iTunes.
The iPod shows the "Do not disconnect" symbol when attached to the iMac, and System Profiler notices it, and shows it as an "USB: Mass Storage (iPod)"
So, I bet Apple hid it from OS 9.
At least, that's all I can think of.
If you want to sync the songs to the iPod for listening, you'll need to buy an old (1st or 2nd gen) iPod.
However, since you're about to get a new computer, you should just move the songs outright. If your iMac has a CD burner, use that. (if so, iTunes can burn you a MP3 disc). You can also use a USB Flash drive, or external USB or FireWire Hard Drive to copy them to the new computer, then sync iPod to that.
Remember that if you did sync up your iPod to one machine, you can't copy it onto another directly. This goes for any iPod or computer. You can copy the files themselves however, just not via iPod.
Sorry not to be able to help more, but I don't think there's any way to sync a new iPod to an OS 9 system.
    Good luck,
    -Dan

  • Connecting iMessages through phone and Mac

I am trying to make my iMessages go through both my phone and my Mac, but can't seem to find the code it asks for on my phone. Any help finding that code?

If on your phone you go to settings -> messages look for forward message. your device should be listed, enable it and a code is asked. After a short time the code will be shown in your messages on your mac.
If you don't receive the code, restart your phone, had that problem and rebooting the phone helped

  • FaceTime on Ipod and Mac without changeing email preferences.

My friend uses the same email for FaceTime on his mac as on his ipod, but I never want to face time his mac because it is a family computer. What can I do to only face time his Ipod without FaceTiming his Mac?

I installed Beta patch to my iMac yesterday. I now has FaceTime icon on my dock. I thought it should allow me to FaceTime with any iPod or iPhone from my mac. Has anyone done FaceTime from iPod touch to a mac computer?
    Welcome to Discussions, Kun Yai
I have tested every way possible and it works well.
To FaceTime between different devices, each must have a UNIQUE identifier.
If you use the same identity on each device, either will only be able to call and receive from someone else.
