IMessage sending to someone who has iMessage turned off
Hi,
My girlfriend has recently turned iMessage off as so many messages I was sending to her were failing. I have no problem with anyone elses iMessage.
Now that she's turned it off, my phone still tries sending her iMessages, they just never reach 'delivered' status, and also never fall back to SMS, even though I've got this feature enabled.
Try deactivating and reactivating my iMessage, but problem still persists!
At the moment I'm just having to hold the undelivered iMessage and manually send as text message for most messages.
Any ideas?

Always phone number.
Her email address (which is also her apple id) is in her contact card under 'email' but I always message to phone number.
I message to phone number with every other contact as well. People with ios5 and iMessage turn on, I can iMessage perfectly. People with ios5 and iMessage off, it always sends an SMS first time.
It's just this one contact that seems to be the anomaly.

One thing you can try
Turn iMessage off on your phone
Reset your phone - no data loss
Restart or reset your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
Then activate iMessage and start a new conversation and see what happens -

I have completely deleted twice! Deleted from iCloud contacts and windows contacts! Nothing has changed! Thanks for your idea!

No, but cellular data will be used at whatever international roaming rate you carrier charges for data in whatever country.
Exchanging iMessages requires the same thing as email - an available internet connection. SMS/MMS is completely separate from iMessage. -
Please help! I can't send a text message to one specific friend of mine when he has iMessage turned off. I can receive his texts, but he never receives mine. Both are iPhones, obviously, different carriers which shouldn't matter. Neither of us got new phones. MMS is on. All if a sudden it just happened. No major changes other than him turning iMessage off, due to a nosy brother who shares his iPad. What am I missing??
I do have SMS on. What else could it possibly be?

If so start here
Follow the Account management options until you are offered and email contact.
Explain the issue via email as only someone in Support can now remove your iPhone Number from iMessages if it has not "de-registered" itself correctly.

Trying to send file to someone who has cs3 but error occurs
Hi I have illustrator cs5 and I am trying to send a file to someone who has cs3, I saved it in a cs3 format but when they try to open it an error occurs saying, "could not find The linked file, choose repair to locate the missing file, replace to open another file, or ignore to leave file unchanged". Please help thank you.
This means that Illustrator cannot find the related files (external resources that you have used for the project, like photos etc...), because the path is changed.
Do you have to pass to your customers not only the illustrator file but also all the files used in that project. Then they have to choose the "repair" option and relink all the missed resources ( simply they have to go to the folders on their hard drive where these files are located and then relink them).

I have 2 Company ipads. They were set up by someone who has left the company. His email address was deleted when he left - so we cannot send a recovery email request. He connected both iPads to 'find my iphone' - and we cant locate his mobile! help!
If you have the original receipts, you can take them to an Apple Store and they may be able to remove the activation lock. A good lesson learned to have an employee clear a device when leaving.

In Messages on the iPad you need to be using an Apple ID (which you probably are)
You can then iMessage (the form of Apple Chat Messaging that is used) to other Apple IDs or iPhone numbers.
They have to be using iOS 5.5 or higher or OS X 10.8 on a Mac. ( A Mac could be up to OS X 10.8.2 if updated iOS devices could be up to iOS 6.0.1)
You then needs either WiFi access or a Data contract and an iPad that can do at least 3G (some have SIM cards)

IMessage turned off automatically.
Anyone has any idea why is my setting within imessage turned off automatically. This is frustrating because I was billed a few times for global text message for turning the iMessage back on in setting.

My iPhone was stolen a few days ago. It appears to be offline on the Find My iPhone app. If the person who has it turns it on only for a brief moment and then turns it off immediately, will the location still be found? Once it returns to being offline will the location still be sent to me? And also, how can I retrieve my pictures from my iCloud?

It seems you have gone to great lengths to improve accessibility in many areas of the iPad. Why was this obvious problem with icon text size missed? (It's not with the Mac.). And for so long too.
Do you employ people with actual accessibility problems to help you do UI design?
I think too, that some buttons are too close for people who might have motor control problems.
I love my iPad but I fear as I age, the iPad might not keep up with me. -
