IMessage sent from phone via text but shows as email?

hiya,, wondering if anyone can help?
when sending imessages to another phone with the same softward its coming up from my email addy not my number....
can anyone help?x

What I am curious about is, how do I know if what I'm sending is coming from my number as a text message or as an iMessage with my Apple ID. I'm really asking this specifically because, I have friends overseas who I have been texting..now we have iMessenger.. but how do I know it's not being sent as a text instead (therefore costing me money)? Just because it's being sent using their email?
I've used a Blackberry before, and they have their texting & BBM as two seperate applications with two seperate icons...kinda hoping Apple had done the same here :/

Films can only be downloaded once from Apple (which I think is at the request of the distributors/license holders) - have you not got a backup on, for example, an external drive and/or a CD or DVD ?

RESOLVED!!! I logged on to my Straight Talk online account, and did a Tech Chat. They immediately gave me a direct phone number and a Reference PIN number and asked me to contact their iPhone specialty support. I called (of course the gentleman's accent was very difficult for me to understand, but managed with asking continually for clarity). He walked me through several tests, setting changes and had me get on my wifi to obtain the latest APN settings. None of his efforts worked ad it was obviously NOT my Straight Talk iPhone 5, 64GB CDMA (no SIM) - it was something with their setting on their end on my account. I was placed on hold a few times and he would come back on to have me try to get on Safari and even Google... after the 3rd on-hold, he returned and asked me to try to use my data again without the wifi turned on and BINGO it worked... I still do not have my wifi turned on and I'm still receiving texts from YESTERDAY too while I was away from wifi service. IF you come across this issue - please call Straight Talk and/or log on to your Straight Talk online account and talk to an online customer service representative and get their direct line phone number for iPhone support and have your Reference PIN number available. So when having an iMessage conversation as the advert suggests. You can carry it on using any of your os devices, but only the messages sent to you appears on all the devices but the messages sent by you only appear on the device you sent it from.

Yes, if you have everything set up correctly and all of your devices are synced then that should be how it works.
Edit: I appologize, I should have read your question more thoroughly. If your devices are synced together, then the entire conversation should show up on all devices no matter which one you sent it from. If you are having trouble with this working, visit this thread and follow the instructions on page 1.

From Motorola's support site:
To use a custom ringtone for text messages, follow the steps below:
Create a folder on the microSD card and name it "notifications" - small caps. Use an SD card reader or using your phone as a USB storage device to do this from your PC.
Copy any compatible audio file you want to set as a message notification to that folder.
Insert the SD card back into your phone or set your phone back to None to access your SD card (Either internal or external if available).
Go to messaging and press the menu key.
Tap Messaging Settings.
Tap Text Messaging.
Tap Select ringtone. You should be able to locate your audio files there and set them.

You will need a document storage, player, or manager to save the file (DropBox, File Manager, Box, VLC, MoliPlayer for example).
To actually save the file, with it open in iMessage, tap the file icon (lower left) and select the app to save it in.

Why are my iMessages sent from iOS (6.0) and OSX (10.8.2) being received in two different dialog boxes?

I'm trying to unify my iMessages sent from my iPhone 4S and my rMBP. iMessages I send from my iPhone to my friend's iPhone is in one window, and if I send another from messages on my rMBP it is sent to a different contact box on my friend's phone.
Is there any way to fix this, I've been trying different combinations of caller id settings on both and I'm so confused.

..I just find it strange that Oracle doesn't cache these blocks for me by replacing some of the aged blocks in the cache.
Flushing the buffer_cache seems to have the desired effect, as it does then get cached.

Hi, have you been able to solve the problem? I'm struggling with the same thing. What is even more strange: When I sync from iPhone to MacBook it doesn't show the entry in iCal. When I then sync the MacBook (without having changed or entered anything on the MacBook) to the iPad the original event from the iPhone is transferred to the calendar on the iPad. It seems as if the MacBook transports the iPhone calender entry to the iPad but it doesn't show it on the MacBook at all. I've checked all the settings in iTunes, they seem to be alright, so I'm confused. It worked perfectely in the past.

Hide content type from the new menu but show in edit form

SharePoint Online, I have following 4 site content types Word Document Excel document PowerPoint document General document
These content types are being used in a document library and "Word Document" is the default content type, When user clicks on "new" menu, all 4 content types are shown.
I don't want to show "General document" in the new menu but I want to show in edit form, I have marked it hidden in the library settings but now it is not visible in the edit form.
Any idea how can I hide content type from the new button but show in edit form?

Whether you use SharePoint online 2013.
If we hide the content type in the library settings, the content type will not be displayed in both new menu and edit form.
To accomplish your qequirement, we need to use css code:

display: none !important;
</style>
perhaps your environment is different with mine, you need to make a little change to the code.

Associate your mobile number with your Apple ID, if you haven't already done so:
Apple - My Apple ID
Sign out of iMessage on the Mac:
Messages ▹ Preferences ▹ Accounts ▹ Sign out
Sign out on the iPhone
Settings ▹ Messages ▹ Send & Receive ▹ Apple ID ▹ Sign out
Then, on the phone, tap Use Your Apple ID for iMessage.
Sign back into iMessage on both devices and test. If there's no change, you may have to wait for a change in network conditions. See:

If you are using the iPhoto email client there is no sent mail box
My suggestion is to set Mail as your email client and then you have everythin in Mail and have a sent mail box

IMessage sent from email address rather than phone number...

I'm having similar problems with my iMessage update under iOS 5. When I send text messages to other iPhone users, it appears as iMessage and from my email address rather than my phone number. I went into Settings > Messages > Receive At, but there's no option to add my phone number. It keeps showing my Apple Account, which I registered under for iMessage and iCloud with my email address. It only allows me to add another email address. From what I can tell, non-iPhone users are still receiving my text messages from my number like regular. If I turn iMessage OFF, I'm sending regular text messages to all users. Anyone have a fix yet? I'm wondering if this was an Apple goof that won't be resolved until the next iPhone update.
