IMessage shows "Not delivered" and then "Delivered" shortly after.

When I send out an iMessage, my iPhone briefly displays "Not delivered" before delivering my iMessage.
Any thoughts as to the reason why??

Try booting into the Safe Mode using your normal account. Disconnect all peripherals except those needed for the test. Shut down the computer and then power it back up after waiting 10 seconds. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the shift key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear and again when you log in. The boot up is significantly slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a directory check, and disables all startup and login items, among other things. When you reboot normally, the initial reboot may be slower than normal. If the system operates normally, there may be 3rd party applications which are causing a problem. Try deleting/disabling the third party applications after a restart by using the application un-installer. For each disable/delete, you will need to restart if you don’t do them all at once.

IMessage shows not delivered on one device, but delivered on others

Hi there,
since a few days I have a strange iMessage problem. When I write an iMessage to someone from my iPhone it shows up as not delivered after a few seconds, but the message does arrive at the recipient. If I look on my iPad the same message looks ok, it shows the delivered/read status perfectly normal.
When I switch devices, the problem exists the other way around. I get the not delivered status on my iPad but the same message shows up OK on my iPhone.
The problem exists on different WiFis and on the 3G network.
I already tried to "reactive" the iMessage service on my iPhone but to no avail.
Does anyone have any ideas as to how to resolve the problem?

Aaaaand seconds later I found the solution:
I logged out from Messages on my Mac and everything works again!

My iPhone and iPad are showing NOT DELIVERED when I send an iMessage although they do send and all my credentials are up to date, this is a problem among all my friends who are iMessage users. Apple needs to correct and post resolution asap

It should not, no. It should revert to sending it as SMS if it's unable to deliver. Keep in mind that if the recipient has more than one iDevice activated with the same ID, it may be delivered to one and not the other. In that case, it will show as delivered. (For example, I have an iPhone and an iPad. If the iPhone is off and the iPad is on and connected to a network the message would be delivered to my iPad and show a status of delivered to you, even if the iPad is at home and I'm not.)

Most days, when I send the first iMessage to anyone who I KNOW is on an iPhone with iMessage enabled, it says '! Not Delivered'. I try again, still fails. I then use the 'Send as SMS' function - it goes (green), they reply via iMessage (comes up with the heading 'iMessage' before their message) and then it works for a bit. If there's then a gap between messages of a couple of hours or more, same thing all over.
This is driving me mad and I CANNOT find a way to fix this. It happened on my old iPhone 4 with iOS 5, 6 and 7 (in fact I ended up switching iMessage off and relying on SMS for a couple of years) and it is still happening on my new iPhone 6 Plus with iOS 8.1.3...

I know you have said you have done some searches but what kind of troubleshooting have you done on your end. Have tried out the troubleshooting below? It will have you check the settings on your iPhone to deleting conversation threads and starting news ones. Let me know if you still have issues after going over the article.

Same problem here with and I've done everything shy of a total reset which I also find unacceptable. This problem exists on all iMessage platforms (iPhone, iPad, and Mac) so I don't see how restoring my iPhone would help the problem.

I have the exact same problem trying to use the Remote app on both my iPhone 3gs and iPad 2 with either my Mac or ATV2. My Remote app used to work on my phone - I can't recall if I ever actually used it with my iPad, but when I tried today, I got all the same results as you did (on both iPad, and then iPhone). HT3964 Installed a new battery for a Macbook 2,1 New battery not charging. Battery symbol shows (Not charging) and replace battery. Green LED on magsafe connection. Disconnection results in an instant shutdown.

I have just installed a new Battery after the old one showed (Not Charging) and when you clicked on this icon the dropdown"condition replace now". Problem now is the computer still shows the same message in the top bar (Not Charging) and the dropdown also shows "condition relace now". the magsafe show the greem LED i.e not charging, but providing power. If you disconnect the magsafe the computer powers off instantly confirming we have power. I have carried out resetting the SMC controller and still no change. Tested the standby voltage on the magsafe pins etc, all in spec. What should I do now, as I don't want to keep spending more and more. Bellow is the info from the system profiler.

If that's not a real email, you need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include clicking here and picking a method for your country, phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, and filling out and submitting this form.
