IMessage sound plays default even though it is set for other tone

i have text tone set for a downloaded sound, which plays when set in settings, when the text actually can't es in it plays the default noise. Same issue with specific contact noises.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. You may have a contact that has a different ringtone assigned to it. Just navigate to the contact and see what ringtone is assigned to them.

Alternatively you can reset all settings in Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings. This would put your iPhone at factory default on everything settings wise and it does not touch the data on the phone

TC issues 192.168 address even though it's set for 10. range

My Time Capsule is set to use the 10. address range for DHCP but sometimes it issues a client a 192.168.x.x address. The result is no connectivity for the client until I hit "renew DHCP lease" a few times. It's not totally reproducible but I've seen it happen with both Lion and Mountain Lion clients and both iMacs and MacBooks.
I've already done a total reset of the Time Capsule and it made no difference. Should I just give in a switch to 192.168.x.x?

The only way this can happen is for there to be another router in the network that is issuing different IP addresses... Check carefully when it joins the 192.168 address for bssid.. you can do this by holding down the option key when you click the airport symbol in the top menu bar. If it is different to the TC address you normally get, that shows it is picking up IP from a different location.
Otherwise you have wired the TC wrongly.. you have a connection that should be WAN connected to LAN..
Is the TC getting 192.168.x.x address on the WAN port.. please open and check the summary in the airport utility.
Or getting a double NAT error??
You should bridge the TC if you have another router in the network.

Thanks. I haven't mixed down the audio or checked the number of tracks in Prefs. Good points.
As far as a mixdown goes, I'll definitely give it a try, though I wonder whether or not the tracks will be recognized during mix down recording - given that you can't hear either of those segments in playback. Just have to try.
Re the preferred number of allowed tracks - I'll go check as soon as I send this off, but I'm not sure that applies in this case, since the two Channels containing the segments that are pinked out are not in additional tracks. I should have mentioned that other audio clips and segments on the same Channels in the SAME tracks ARE heard in playback. As are two additional track in the 2nd Sequence. It's only when the two sequences are joined that the pink tinted segments can't be heard. Within the sequence the same audio cuts playback as they should. Thanks again &

Hi Alxx911, and John Hammer1. After reading John's reply - " You can plug something into it's headphone jack. though" . I thought i'd try out of curiosity. I plugged in some headphones. I didn't expect anything to happen and nothing happened. The audio jack is for the Dell soundbar which is optional.
Here's a direct copy and paste from the users manual: Section About Your Monitor.
Attaching the Soundbar AX510 / AX510PA (Optional) CAUTION: Do not use with any device other than the Dell Soundbar. NOTE: The Soundbar power connector (+12 V DC output) is for the optional Dell Soundbar AX510/AX510PAonly. To attach the Soundbar: 1. Working from the back of the monitor, attach the Soundbar by aligning the two slots with the two tabs along the bottom of the monitor. 2. Slide the Soundbar to the left until it snaps into place. 3. Connectthe Soundbar with the DC power connector. 4. Insert the mini stereo plug from the back of the Soundbar into the computerís audio output jack. For HDMI/DP, you can insert the mini stereo plug into the monitorís audio output port. If there is no sound, check your PC if the Audio output is configured to HDMI/DP output.
This monitor has no speakers. (Like John Hammer1 mentioned). The no speakers feature was one of the reasons I chose this monitor.

How can I make iTunes sort on the first word by default, even though that word is "The" or "A"?
I myself think that (for instance) "A tribe called Quest" should be sorted under "A", not "T".
Now I can edit the sort options manually per track and/or per selection, but I would really like to just kill this "iTunes-knows-how-you-should-sort"-feature in iTunes.
Anyone any suggestion on how to do that?

Here is a modified version of one of Doug's Scripts. My modification was to add Sort Name to the list of tags that could be changed. I tried it on a single track and it worked. I recommend backing up your library first. Select the tracks you want to change (or all tracks) and run the script from the Applescript Editor. If it works as intended, save it so you can apply it to newly imported tracks. And, yes, I know this isn't the exact answer to your question, you want to change a preference setting in iTunes (if there is such a setting).

Hook it up to itunes and check the version. If it lists in the info that it is 5.0 or 5.0.1, then your ipod has imessage.
If it turns out that an update is available, apply the update. Check your ipod version from Settings > General > About. Anything lower than iOS 5 won't have iMessage.

Make sure you don't have Repeat turned on. While the song is playing, tap the screen (cover art) if necessary to bring up the extended music controls (see image below). Then tap the Repeat button until it turns white (which is off).

Try setting the Energy Saver to "never" and uncheck "put hard disks to sleep when possible". You can allow the screen to sleep after any suitable time.

You may be having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
Whenever you have a problem with Firefox, whatever it is, you should make sure it's not coming from one of your installed add-ons, be it an extension, a theme or a plugin. You can set the warn prefs on the about:config page to true via the right-click context menu or toggle with a double left-click.
