IMessage verification email not being delivered.

I am trying to add another email address to my list of receiving iMessage email addresses and I can never receive the verification email Apple is supposed to send me to make that address active. I have tried numerous times and even look in the spam folder every time. I've seen other people post this same problem also. Hard to believe this is still an issue for a company with Apple's resources.

I repeatedly and randomly have the same problem:
1.   I send mail to another icloud user or to  some other recipient (e.g., yahoo mail).
2.   The sent message appears in my iCloud.com Sent folder signifying that it was transmitted successfully.
3.   The message is never delivered.
4.   It does not appear in the recipient's Spam folder (or any other filter).
5.   I never receive followup email from any server's postmaster indicating an error in transmission or reception.
6.   The whole experience is purely silent -- "went to the bit bucket."
There is no rhyme or reason to this.   The phenomenon is random but has repeated over a series of many months.   I could say that I am running 10.8.5, but it is an iCloud server event, not a local OS event.   The recipient might be running OS X, Linux, or Windows (etc).

Is anyone having issues with imessages disappearing or not being delivered?

I too am experiencing this on my iPhone 4 after upgrading to 4.3.3. I am fairly convinced that it is a software issue. The last update seems jumpy. There appear to be more pauses and stuttering with screen changes too.  Sometime the button operates perfectely (even with repeated light touches). Other times, it doesn't matter how hard I press; it takes several presses. I notice it more when i am using a battery case or connected to an AT&T MicroCell. I am having a hard time pinpointing problematic apps, although i suspect that mail with my work Exchange account may be a culprit. I suggest posting your issues on Apple's iPhone feedback page, www.apple.com/feedback/iPhone.html, to ensure that they are looking into this problem. If it is a hardware issue, I'll be pretty upset as I received my iPhone 4 on day 1 of availability and it is out of warranty. Hoping for a fix with an update. Please post on the feedback page.

  • Sent emails not being delivered from Outlook

For the past week emails sent from Outlook although appearing in my Sent mailbox are not being delivered.  This is not a problem where emails are sent from my iphone.  I have made no settings changes.  This seems to be a familiar problem but research has not produced a solution as most people give up.
I am using a Windows 8 laptop with Outlook 2013.  I have set up numerous new accounts with automated settings with no success.
    Please help!!

I too knowingly have had this problem since at least 19/1/2015.
I have Windows 7 with Outlook 2013 and two BT accounts plus Sky and Google accounts (for fallback). All have functioned well for the past three years.
No changes to my PC have been made for at least 6 months (apart from MS updates).
My wife's laptop runs Windows 7 with Outlook 2010 and has found the same issue. At a Womens Instutute meeting last night in the village it became apparent (without my wife initiating the issue) that a number of other BT eMail account customers have the same problem too.
I spent about an hour yesterday trying various combinations of operation to confirm the issues. I have found:
1 - eMails sent from either BT account self addressed will bounce back the eMails (presumably from the BT Server)
2 - eMails sent from either BT account to BT accounts will not forward (send/deliver)
3 - eMails sent from either BT account to non BT addresses will not forward (but will bounce back if the self address is included in the addresses showing that at least the eMail is reaching the BT mail server).
4 - eMails sent from Outlook through Sky and Google systems are being received by the BT system and recieved into the Outlook BT accounts.
5 - All eMails sent in Outlook appear in the Sent box
6 - eMails sent from Webmail accounts all work normally
All these tests can be replicated on my wife's laptop with other BT and non-BT addresses.
I then spent about an hour whilst a BT Technician (ABHISHEK SEN) through CHAT accessed my PC, checked all settings and declared no fault found.
Later I spent another hour on the phone to the BT Help Desk (with VIKRAM) who did much of the same, declared that there was a problem and that I would have to hire a local PC expert technician to come and sort out the problem on my PC. He would not acknowledge that there just might be a problem with the BT eMail Server system.
Finally the only common thread is that the BT accounts are sub-accounts of my main account and that I pay the bills - and of course the router and copper lines to the exchange.
HOW OR WHERE DO I/WE RAISE THIS ISSUE WITH A HIGHER AUTHORITY TO GET IT RESOLVED?
Oh! And then there is the rest of the village and gwood's machine also need to have their similar issue resolved too.
To use gwood's last paragraph: PLEASE HELP!!

  • Email not being delivered

I am trying to send email from the icloud web mail.  all email is not being delivered.  When I send from iphone or ipad all works fine.  Icloud webmail can receive mail normally.  Email does show up in the sent mail folder but is not being delivered.

I repeatedly and randomly have the same problem:

  • After 1.1.1 update, image emails not being delivered

just upgraded to the latest patch (1.1.1). Sending images) as email are not being delivered. I am using Yahoo for email. Anyone else see this?

I've just switched SIM cards with someone else who is on P&G o2 and has an IPhone 5 running 6.1.2. My sim in their phone still won't send texts to the problem number yet their sim in my phone will? Think it might be a network issue?

  • IMessage verification email not received

I've seen this issue in other threads but it persists for me. I only have a single Apple ID and I've verified at appleid.apple.com that both my alternate email addresses show there as "verified". But when I attempt to use either of those addresses on my iPad with iMessage, it says "Unable to verify address. An email with a verification link has been sent to the above email address." And the email is never received (regardless of which email address I use). An interesting data point here is that the apple ID is actually my old ".mac" email address, but that email address has been defunct for years (apple won't let me change the primary email address). That is _not_ the address that I'm giving to iMessage, I'm using my alternate active, verified email addresses.

This most likely means you have a 2nd AppleID that has this same email address listed as an alternate email address for it.
    Manage Your Account at
    http://appleid.apple.com
Check to see if any of your other email addresses or AppleIDs and family members email addresses or AppleIDs have your main email account associated with it as an alternate email… because if they do, it won't send the verification email since it's already verified to another account.
You may need to change your email account to a 3rd or 4th one to disassociate it with this one first; then on the Apple ID website there's a section that says: Not Sure if you have an Apple ID? Find Out >
This will help you find the name on the other account and if you cannot get in to that account you should be able to receive a password reset to it.
If you cannot find the account you can try emailing iTunes and/or call Apple and check if they can find the account that is still associated with the email address you are trying to use for this.
    iTunes Support - Email Option:
    http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact.html
    iPhone technical support: (U.S.)
    1-800-MY-IPHONE (1-800-694-7466)
iPod, Mac and iPad technical support: (U.S.)
    1-800-APL-CARE (1-800-275-2273)
(if you call they MAY be able to grant an exception to the phone support of your device due to it being an account problem or iCloud problem)
Alternatively you can always set up a new email account with gmail, yahoo, aol, etc.. and change your account to that one so you still have your account media it'll just be under a different email address than you're used to.

  • HT4061 Emails not being delivered via mac mail - recipients claim not receiving

A colleague and I have discovered over last 2 weeks issues with mac mail.
Emails are not being received - but it appears to be RANDOM.
We both use mac mail and have .me accounts.
He sent a group email that I never received until 3 days later when another colleague NOT on mac mail replied to all and I saw that I never received original note.
This colleague sent email to his attorney weeks ago -- and it was just delivered to his attorney's inbox YESTERDAY.
The colleague has also send me a several SENSITIVE correspondences that he confirmed via phone last night that I have still NOT received.
What is going on? is is a mac mail issue or an iCloud issue?
Need some help to get this reported and resolved.
    thank you!

    Hi. Welcome to the forums.
For info, CP (Critical Path) has been in use for a few months now for the conversion from using Yahoo! mail servers.
What version of Outlook are you using ?
In the smtp setting, try removing @btinternet.com or @btopenworld.com from the username - despite what the online help might say.
You might like to try port 25, with No security or SSL/TLS setting.
Is it all emails that are failing to send ?
If emails have been fine for years, do you know what the previous settings were ?
As for disabling firewalls - this doesn't always help - as they can still block emails! What security package are you using, and have you checked the settings within that package ?
    Sorry for the extra questions.

  • Apple id verification email not being sent.

    Hello,
I am trying to create a new iCloud account by creating a new apple ID. I have sent all the required information (using a @gmail email as my primary address), but I am not getting the email needed to verify me address from apple. I have requested the verification email over 10 times with no luck.
Anyone facing the same issue? Any clues on what I could do?

    Welcome to the Apple community.
Have you tried requesting another verification e-mail.
Start here, change your country if necessary and go to manage your account.

When I click on Resend Verification Email button I get the message " Couldn't request a new verification email because of a server error". This has been going on for three days now. This ocurs on my Mac Mini and MacBook. My iPhone is just fine. I can access iCloud via the web, email is working fine. Just cannot access iCloud System Preferences.

I had the exact same problem.  I also had problems with "Mail" soon after this, and keychain problems.
My solution happened to be logging out and logging back in.  A restart would have fixed the problem the same way.  It was likely a problem with the keychain at the moment.  Restarting the processes involved did fix it.
After I logged (restarted) back in, the iCloud system preference pane worked just fine without me having to put in my password to verify my account, and not needing to click on "Resend Verification Email", the button just wasn't there anymore.

  • Verizon emails not being delivered

I know this isnt really an OS X issue, but i'm kinda stumped. Our mail queue is filled with emails to verizon.net emails. Getting the error "450: requested mail action not taken-Try Later"
I cant find any information anywhere. I have filled out the Verizon White Pages twice now... Once over 2 weeks ago. (found here - http://www2.verizon.net/micro/whitelist/request_form.asp?id=isp) and still nothing. Queue is filled with 30 Verizon emails now. I dont know if they are getting delivered or not, or if OS X is dumping them from the mail queue after X amount of days. (if so, users are not getting notified about it)
What the... DId we end up on some block list or if Verizon is just being ultra aggressive with spam blocking or what... If anyone has any insight, please let me know. I'm banging my head against the wall!
    Thanks all!

I'd like to know what the postfix delay is as well. I
    found this (http://www.postfix.org/postconf.5.html)
but there are so many diffferent delays listed, I
have no idea which is the correct one.
Anyone have any insight to this??
    and...
Well, that article and others are quite helpful in
identifying the situation which seems to be that
Verizon connects to the server at the MX record of
the sender with a blank Mail From and a RCPT TO of
    the original sender.
However, I can't fathom why my server would reject
that. I even have an SPF record. Could it be the
    timeout?
    What is postfix's timeout?
I think the discussion moved on from suspecting this, but just for completeness on the postfix command and timeout...
The receiving server is probably using the rejectunverifiedsender option (tries a RCPT TO using the senders From: address)
    http://www.postfix.org/ADDRESSVERIFICATIONREADME.html
In postfix, the timeout for a RCPT TO command is set by the smtprcpttimeout option with a default of 5 minutes. It is not very clear from the postfix doc whether that still applies when carried out within the rejectunverifiedsender option, but (from my understanding at this time) I would guess so.
Although there is nothing to stop a busy server from having its default timeout reduced, (since verification of spoofed mail may be quite demanding), postfix does cache results - thereby being most efficient on large volume servers. Taking this into account, a reduction in the timeout value, on large volume servers, would have a relatively small benefit in terms of the overall processing going on.

  • Requested verification email not being sent.

When trying to archive my photos from PHOTOSHOP.COM , it requests that I verify my email address.  I have requested verification 3 times and not received an email.

    Helo Brian,
Which email service or application do you use? Could the email message are being  filtered into a spam email folder? You might want to check to see.
Have you performed a password reset on your Photoshop.com account?
Let us know if you need further assistance.

  • Sent emails not being delivered from Outlook via S...

Hi, is anyone else having issues with sent items via Outlook?
My settings have been working fine for years and the Outlook account check does not show any issues, yet when I send emails they are not delivered. They're not in my Outbox and they go to sent items.
I've tried reconfiguring for SSL, disabling all firewalls/HIPS/protection all to no avail.
It's really annoying especially at this time of year - but tech support say they do not support Outlook and emails sent from the web client work OK.
It can connect to mail.btinternet.com over port 25 and if i couldn't would get an error message in outlook so can only assume they are knocking around somewhere in the BT infrastructure.
Would be useful if a track on emails was available...
Any feedback on similar issues or advice would be gratefully received!
    Thanks

I'm trying to set up iMessage to be able to send and receive using a gmail account. I enter the information and it says email sent for validation. I have also resent the email. I never get an email in that account to validate. I've checked the spam folder too.
