IMessage Verification issues

I have just had my 02 3gs iphone unlocked by 02 and have put my vodafone sim in. Now iMessage will not verify and my old number is greyed out in received in settings. I have changed number on phone settings, added new contact in contacts list and linked it. I have toggle on and off and hard reset. I have toggled auto date and time settings on and off etc. I have changed itunes account password. Still saying verifying with old number. Any help?

tbh no, I'm on Vodafone payg but I see there seems to be a lot of verification issues on these forums and others. Instead of having to wipe is there any other way to get round this?

  • IMessage verification email not being delivered.

    I am trying to add another email address to my list of receiving iMessage email addresses and I can never receive the verification email Apple is supposed to send me to make that address active. I have tried numerous times and even look in the spam folder every time. I've seen other people post this same problem also. Hard to believe this is still an issue for a company with Apple's resources.

    I repeatedly and randomly have the same problem:
    1.   I send mail to another icloud user or to  some other recipient (e.g., yahoo mail).
    2.   The sent message appears in my iCloud.com Sent folder signifying that it was transmitted successfully.
    3.   The message is never delivered.
    4.   It does not appear in the recipient's Spam folder (or any other filter).
    5.   I never receive followup email from any server's postmaster indicating an error in transmission or reception.
    6.   The whole experience is purely silent -- "went to the bit bucket."
    There is no rhyme or reason to this.   The phenomenon is random but has repeated over a series of many months.   I could say that I am running 10.8.5, but it is an iCloud server event, not a local OS event.   The recipient might be running OS X, Linux, or Windows (etc).

  • IMessage verification email not received

    I've seen this issue in other threads but it persists for me. I only have a single Apple ID and I've verified at appleid.apple.com that both my alternate email addresses show there as "verified". But when I attempt to use either of those addresses on my iPad with iMessage, it says "Unable to verify address. An email with a verification link has been sent to the above email address." And the email is never received (regardless of which email address I use). An interesting data point here is that the apple ID is actually my old ".mac" email address, but that email address has been defunct for years (apple won't let me change the primary email address). That is _not_ the address that I'm giving to iMessage, I'm using my alternate active, verified email addresses.

    This most likely means you have a 2nd AppleID that has this same email address listed as an alternate email address for it.

    Check to see if any of your other email addresses or AppleIDs and family members email addresses or AppleIDs have your main email account associated with it as an alternate email… because if they do, it won't send the verification email since it's already verified to another account.
    You may need to change your email account to a 3rd or 4th one to disassociate it with this one first; then on the Apple ID website there's a section that says: Not Sure if you have an Apple ID? Find Out >
    This will help you find the name on the other account and if you cannot get in to that account you should be able to receive a password reset to it.
    If you cannot find the account you can try emailing iTunes and/or call Apple and check if they can find the account that is still associated with the email address you are trying to use for this.

    (if you call they MAY be able to grant an exception to the phone support of your device due to it being an account problem or iCloud problem)
    Alternatively you can always set up a new email account with gmail, yahoo, aol, etc.. and change your account to that one so you still have your account media it'll just be under a different email address than you're used to.

  • I'm having issues with iMessage. It works fine on wifi and I receive messages as iMessage without issue in network or wifi. However as I send a message it starts as iMessage then says not delivered. Then sends as SMS since I have it enabled.

    iMessage works on wifi without issue. However I receive messages on network but can't send. I send a message it starts sending as iMessage ten says it can't send. Then starts to send as SMS since it's enabled. I have reset network sertings, updated to ios7, etc and done about 3 othe suggested in order resets to get it to work and it still hasn't started working when I'm not on wifi. Any suggestions?
    It's a iPhone 4S. I have two iPhones. One setup to receive iMessage just to its phone number. Therapeutic to receive to its phone and email. I wouldn't think that would be the issue as all 3 are separate. Bone the same going to both phones.

  • How do I delete or change my number in my old iPhone, so that I can still use it for iMessages without issue?

    I have an iPhone 4S that was with Verizon. About a week ago I ported into Virgin Mobile and bought a new phone to use until the next iPhone comes out. I now still have my old iPhone, which I want to use for iMessages, as well as like an iPod, etc.
    The issue I am seeing is that my phone number is still registered to my iPhone and I haven't yet figured out how to delete it or change it. The problem this is causing is it is making my iPhone sometimes intercept messages from those with iMessage who are texting my phone number. The messages should be going to my new phone, not my iPhone, since they are texting my phone number (not my iMessage email) and my iPhone has no service connected to it.
    Here's an example of what I'm trying to say: the other day I texted a guy selling an item online. I used my new phone to text him, not my iPhone. He texted me right back, but the text went to my iPhone, not my new phone. We then texted each other via iMessage and no texts were making it to my new phone.
    I think this is also causing some messages to not go through on my new phone either, where I'm just simply not getting texts from people sending me messages. My iPhone isn't getting the messages, nor is my new phone.
    What I need to do is delete my number or put a random number in my phone so that I don't keep missing or losing texts. I saw the ways recommended to disconnect your number from iMessage, but that then kills my ability to use iMessage on my iPhone. There must be a way that the number in my iPhone can be changed or deleted. We are in 2013 I think, and this was something I always had the option of changing via manual programming on every phone I've had since 1902 or so.
    How to do this?!

    I also already deleted my phone number from iMessage on my MBP.

  • IMessage sender issues

    I share my apple account between several devices. For some reason lately when I use iMessage it is changing the user name or the sender name from the user that it should be (me). Anyone have any ideas how to fix this so it shows as the correct sender?

    I've noticed this happening too. My wife & I both have the iPhone 4S and since we got the iPad last Friday we noticed iMessages working oddly. If I send her a message via iMessages from my phone it sometimes will show up on her phone as if she had sent it to herself. And if I'm using iMessages on the iPad the conversation automatically shows up on her phone and even an old iPhone 3GS that our son uses as an iPod touch. I thought it might be because we just got the iPad but now I'm thinking it's a wider issue.

  • Email verification issues

    When I try to log in with my Adobe ID, Browserlab pops opens a popup telling me that my email address needs to be verified. Ok, no problem. Click the resend verification button....right? Nope. When I click the "resend" button, all i get is another popup box that says "Authenication failed" with an "Close" button. Can someone at Adobe please tell me how to get my validation email? I really don't want to have to create another Adobe ID.

    We were having intermittent issues yesterday with some of the backend servers we rely on for login. Can you please try again, and if you're still having issues, send the Adobe ID you're using directly to me in a private email ( [email protected] ) and we'll look into things from our end.

  • No binaries found for Verification issue in MPR Code Signing Test case

    We are trying to certify our WebSite Application as Gold Certified and to become Gold Certified Partner. We have run a MPR Test and while verifying the Code Signing test case, it shows that
    "No binaries found for verification". But the test case result is
    passed. Below I have placed screen shot for the same. We have signed all our Application related DLL's(Page related DLL's. Please let us know about this issue.

    Hi Shankar,
    To the MPR Tool, it does not appear that you have installed any binaries.
    As you mention that your website contains DLLs, these have either not been installed via your MSI package or have already been installed before the test began.
    The tool will prompt when to Install, when to perform Primary Functionality, and when to Uninstall.
    If your website was already installed prior to beginnign test, you must retest.
    As you are applying for Gold level, assure you are testing on Server Core.

  • TIme Machine verification issue (Drobo and Airport Extreme)

    Hello. I recently purchased a Drobo (1st gen, off ebay) to replace a 1TB WD MyBook I was using as a Time Machine backup and Media Server.
    The Drobo is connected to an Airport Extreme base station over USB 2.0. My Mac is connected by ethernet to the Airport Extreme.
    I followed the instructions on the Drobo website to create a separate 500 gb partition for Time Machine and the rest to accommodate my media collection. http://support.datarobotics.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/67/related/1/session/L2F 2LzEvc2lkLzdta1VHNmZr
    The Time Machine backup seems to go OK, taking several hours to backup 160gb of data. Later on in the day, I'll get a message that says:
    "Time Machine completed a verification of your backups. To improve reliability, Time Machine must create a new backup for you."
    I've tried redoing the backup 4 or 5 times now. I've tried repairing permissions and the repairing the disk on both the Mac and the Drobo. I've learned that Time Machine Backups to Airdisks aren't officially supported by Apple (Although I never had a problem with my previous hard drive attached to the Airport Extreme, and Drobo say it's fine on their website - "Time Machine with a Drobo device connected to an AirPort Extreme or network attached (NAS) works. Just make sure you have updated Time Capsule or Airport Extreme to firmware 7.3.1 or later."
    Every time, after a couple of hours, I get the verification warning and have to delete the backup and start again. I wouldn't mind just going and buying another 500gb external drive to just attach to my Mac, only I now have a separate 500gb volume sitting on my Drobo that I can't do anything with and I can't delete because I don't have anywhere else to transfer the data from my Drobo while I reformat it!
    I'm running out of ideas and would love it if someone can offer some advice. Thanks guys!

    Hi. Thanks for the response and sorry for the double post in the Airport forum. I'm really just not sure if this is a Time Machine, Airport or Drobo issue.
    Everything is updated to the latest versions and I've been looking at the Drobo support site, but all I see is that Drobo is 'supposed' to work with Time Machine over Airport Extreme. However, I've tried everything I can think of and scoured forums over the weekend to try and get to the bottom of this. It's just bizarre that a cheap WD hard disk used to work, and a much more expensive Drobo doesn't.
    I've posted the same message to the forums over at the Drobo site, so we'll see what comes of it. I'm not that hopeful. This mysterious black box on my desk seems to have a mind of its own. Even now, even though I'm not reading or writing any data to it, I can hear the Drobo accessing data on the disks and moving things around. I'm not surprised if it's a bit too much for Time Machine to handle. I'm just a bit annoyed that I followed all of the advice from Data Robotics to the letter and it doesn't work, even though it should.
    I think I'll just give up and buy a firewire drive (I'm out of USB ports). I'm sure I'll find something I can move onto this redundant 500gb partition. Thanks for your help.

  • Account Verification Issues

    I am trying to make an order and upon entering my username and password I get this account verification message. It says it will send a code to my email and I have to enter it. This is an annoying new step but ok I can deal with it. But the fact that I have not gotten and codes in my email is a real issue. Yes I have checked my junk mail and I have tried asking for the code again.
    All I want to do is make an order. I dont understand why I am being prevented from doing so. It seems like I will have to purchase from another source since Best Buy doesnt want my business online.

  • OIF SAML 2.0 verification issue

    We are working with a partner on a SAML 2.0 setup and we are stuck with the following error. The partner is using Siteminder. We have uploaded the metadata file in our system, and when we test the connection an error occurs and this is showing up in the logs. Any ideas?

  • Iphone, Itouch & Imessaging- Security issue

    Heres my issue. My son had an Itouch. I then got him an Iphone, which in time caused me to repo the itouch. The itouch & the iphone get all his i messages (which is fine for me). Occasionally on the itouch I will turn off the imeessage for his number on the iphone, & when I turn it back on he gets a message on his iphone saying "dads itouch enabled", or something like that, & his phone can either accept it or not. However, I cannot find ANYWHERE, whether it be on his phone or his account saying that "Dads Itouch" is getting his imessages. Surely to god there should be somewhere he could look on his phone or his apple account that he could tell "dads itouch" is getting his imessages.
    Is there anywhere?

  • FaceTime and iMessage activation issues in New-Caledonia

    I reside in New-Caledonia, a french territory in the Pacific, and I am unable to activate either FaceTime or iMessage on my iPhone 4,
    My kids (a 5 and 3 year old) have iPods and they have no issues. So I know I am setting things up correctly :-)
    Is the reason based on the fact that for iphones an SMS is sent out and that New-Caledonia's country code is +687 as opposed to +33 for France ("where our itunes account is") which means that as a result we are not getting the return SMS from England to activate the service?
    If so, do you know of any work arounds? Who do i need to write/speak too?

  • Apple ID Problem - iMessage/FaceTime issues

    Hello, I ran into an issue this morning, and am seeking some assistance. I was trying to tackle this problem on my own, but I decided it would be better to just ask the community .
    This morning, I ran into an issue with no explanation. It suddenly happened, with no warning. When I checked my iPod Touch this morning, everything seemed normal. But, I tried to send my friend something through iMessage, and it didn't send. I first thought it was a simple Wi-Fi issue, but no matter how many times I tried, no matter who I tried to send a message to. I didn't send. I am on a secure network, and merely a few meters from my Wi-Fi Router. I later discovered FaceTime wasn't working too. I asked my friends through another way of communication if it was also down for them, and they all said that it was working fine for them. I even tried my mother's Apple ID, and it worked fine (we're on the same network)!!! Though I only tried iMessage and FaceTime, I'm sure anything that requires an Apple ID will not work with mine.
    A few hours, it just logged me out of iMessage, so I decided to try and log back in. I checked MULTIPLE TIMES if I was typing in my password correctly, and I was. Yet, it kept on saying, either:
    1. It cannot log me into iMessage, and to check my network connection.
    2. To type in my password AGAIN, and then #1 would pop up.
    I don't know what would cause this, or what I could have done to trigger it, but if ANYBODY knows how I can fix this issue, that would be great! Thank you for your time!
