IMessage voice message is not active in iOS8

I am using an iPhone 6 and have read the previous question entitled "iMessage voice message is not active in iOS8" and applied the suggestions but it has not corrected my problem. I made sure iMessage was turned on in my settings/Messages. I made sure my called phone number was also an iPhone 6 with the same iMessage turned on in similar fashion. Both phones are identified as iPhones in contacts with the phone numbers but I don't believe that has anything to do with the issue cause it sometimes works fine with phones defined as mobile. I am current on IOS8.02.

OK, here is my trial test after all the replied suggestions above.
(1) It seems the voice/video memo function will be ONLY enabled automatically when sender and receiver are all iPhone(iMessage app) users.
(2) In my case, if I choose a receiver who is a iPhone user too, then the voice/video memo function button is working nicely.
(3) The receiver doesn't need to run iOS 8. I have tried iOS 6 iOS 7 friends, there is no problems at all.
(4) In conclusion, you have to find another iPhone user to experience new function just like the same requirement of Facetime.
Problem solved , I hope my question could help other confused user as well.

Had this issue myself. I've got no solution for you and customer support has been weak and non-responsive to say the least. Had an online chat with support last Saturday, 12/27, and was assured someone would get back to me via email within 2-3 business days. It's been over a week and no contact. I'm going to start the whole process over again. I personally disabled all firewalls and virus scanners and even went so far as to perform a clean boot on my system with no results. I am having the same problem with a Nero product (different company). It's frustrating as all hell.

I am facing problem while replying/forwarding or sending a NEW Voice Message from ViewMail integrated with IBM LOTUS Notes 8.5 to the other Voice Mail User Configured in Cisco Unity Connection.The ViewMail Version is 8.0.2 for IBM LOTUS Notes.UC version is 8.x
I have attached the file that displays the error.
From the view mail inbox if i "Right Click" any email and the "Click ON Forward" I am able to forward the Voice Message from the ViewMail to the IBM LOTUS Domino user [ that is forwarding it to EMAIL Account ], but if I try to forward it to unity user is gives "Failure Delivery".
Now when I double click the individual voice mail message in ViewMail account and then click on "Forward/reply/NewMemo" icon available on the individual voice message window that I have opened ,I get an error as stated below
"The remote name could not be resolved error in Notes ViewMail 10.0.0.152e_vmws_gen_property_not_found "
where 10.0.0.152 is the IP-Address of my Unity Connection Server.
Also just for the information I am able to Login into Cisco PCA for alll the users and able to view the Inbox.
I am able to forward the VoiceMessages between Unity Connection users via CISCO PCA without facing any issue.
A Quick Help will be much appreciated .......... :-)

Hello Craig,
After spending sometime on troubleshooting , just for testing purpose I created two new Unity Connection Voice Mail User and configured VMN [VoiceMail for Notes] account on the same lotus Notes.
Interestingly this time I was able to use Reply & Reply to All option to send the Voice Message via VMN. {WORKING JUST FINE,NO PROBLEM WHAT SO EVER ]
But still I am NOT able to use Forward option to send the Voice Messages via VMN.
REPLY WITH HISTORY & REPLY TO ALL WITH HISTORY options are also not working.
This is error that I am getting
"Error in QueryServe in CoreUCClasses 213 at line 336:Vmws:The remote server returned an error:(403) Forbidden
I HAVE CREATED VIDEO RECORDING FOR THIS ERROR & WORKING PART OF THE CONFIG TO GIVE YOU A BETTER IDEA OF THE PROBLEM.
Its 7 MB Recording. I hope you can easily Download.
Also important point is that i don't see any previous error that was accuring during my earlier testing.

Message Mapping : ( Not Activating )-Main Exception in thread "main"

Hi all
 I have configured a message mapping , with proper occurence checked for
both source & target MesTypes.
But on activation it is throwing the error :
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/sun/tools/javac/Main Exception in thread "main"
Also my previous mappings are also not activating , which were running properly previously...
i tried these option already :-
--> i also restart the Java Stack...
---> Re: JAVA stack not starting

still i am getting the same error..

I am not sure weather it will resolve your problem but you can give a try to it.
If you have the access for tcode "SICF" then
1. Run tcode SICF, and press F8 button.
2. default_host>sap>xi.
3. Now check the below mentioned are activated (activated services will be in black) or not, if not then just right click and activate the service:
 i). adapter_plain
 ii). cache
 iii). cache_gui
 iv). cache_ssl
 v). docu_apperror
 vi). docu_syserror
 vii). engine
viii). simulation

Voice message indicator not working and I am missing calls/messages that I didn't even know I had...OS 8.1.2

Within the past week or two, I have missed a few phone calls. Previously, the missed call and voice message indicator number would appear to alert me--now it does not. Do I REALLY need to constantly call my own voice mail to see if I have a message? Related, my message list is not appearing, either. Voice message asks me to submit my password each time and this NEVER happened before. iPhone 5S, OS 8.1.2

Ringtones:
Highlight the ringtone/s that won't play, menu key properties, see what format it's in, and the size of the file.
If it didn't load correctly it probably is some thing like o-4kb. Basically empty. Second look at the file type
(.mp3 .mp4 etc). Check the chart below to make sure it's compatible with the BB. You can always highlight the item
and delete it.
Screen,
Pull the battery out while the phone is still ON, leave it for a minute,
Replace and let the device reboot 1-3 minutes. See if the message indicator returns.

Voice message are not available

I see voice messages come up in Skype and I clikc on them and they go light blue and say "This voice message currently unavailable." Can someone please tell me why this happens. Also why they don't seem to come back ? Thanks

I'm running the latest version of Skype on Yosemite and it just recently killed ALL of my previous voice mails. I'm paying for a service that doesn't even provide tech support, just a community so we can all share how screwed over Microsoft's Skype has made is. Wanted to avoid GoogleVoice as the lesser of two evils but I need access to my voice mail, obviously. UNACCEPTABLE.

IMessage search and Spotlight message search not working since ios8 update

Not receiving texts from iPhone contacts when I'm not connected to wifi or cell data. I can't send and receive regular SMS texts with non iMessage users but iMessage users message are not being converted to text when I don't have internet connect

I can send and receive to any non iPhone user. I can send a message as a text to an iPhone user but if I'm not connected to cellular data or wifi I do not receive messages from iPhone contacts. From what I understand these message should automatically send to me as texts instead of iMessages but since the update it's not functioning properly. Please help. I have the same problem! Before the upgrade, if I wasn't connected to the internet, any messages sent to me from an iphone would convert automatically to a text message. I have payg tarriff, so I turn cell data off, as it costs too much to use it. I have wifi at home and work, but if I'm out and about, I don't receive texts from iphone users until I'm on wifi. IMessage saying messages are not being delivered... but they are...

This past week I have been sending out texts on imessage, but about 80% of them are coming back saying they aren't being delivered. But everyone seems to be getting them and responding. They also have said the same thing happens to them. I thought it might be a wifi issue and that I'm going through a work wifi, but it happens even when I'm on LTE. Any ideas as to why this is happening?

I've been having the same issue for the past couple of days too. It first says "Delivered" then changes to "Not Delivered", even though (at least most of the time) the messages seem to be going through. Only started happening to me on the weekend. Doesn't seem to make a difference if I'm using wifi or the 3G network. iMessage is only enabled on my iPhone. I've tried switching iMessage off and then on again as per some suggestions. Nothing seems to help.

IMessage voice freezes while sending

HHave someone encounter problems in iPad while sending a voice in iMessag. It does not send it because it freezes. In fact can't send it. I did sing out and reset network settings but still can't send and still freezes at the moment to click the up arrow to send.
any one has this problems and what did you do to fix it.

E51 Update and now 'New Voice Message Icon' and no...

Hello out there,
28/08/2009 updated the os on my E51 phone through nokia. All OK except 'New Voice Messages' icon shows and my voice mails is empty. Well before the OS update I had my voice mail switched off by my mobile provider (t-mobile) as I do not use voice mail.
Have dialed my voice mail and checked that there are no messages, even tried the delete messages, even though the option is not there just in case.
Any ideas ?

I, too, have the same problem. My phone came new with firmware 300.34.56 . And since I started using the phone I always have a New Voice Message icon after a phone restart while there are actually no messages.
It is a very bad bug because I don't really know if I actually got a new voice message or not.
I don't want to upgrade to firmware 400.xxx yet because I've heard it has lots of bugs.
Please, advice !

ITunes not syncing "computer not activated"

iTunes will not sync anything (apps, music, books) i bought on the ipad. It keeps telling me that my "PC is not activated". But after activating my PC in "Settings", it tells me that my PC is already activated....and the initial message "PC not activated" reappears. The Apple-Hotline had nor answer for me at all.
As a first time Apple buyer, i expected it to be less frustrating than the usual stuff. Seems i was wrong!!

ICMAN not Active error in SICF

I am working with Consuming Webservices. I am working on ECC 5.0 system.
In SICF when I have activated following services :

/default_host/sap/public/bc/ur
/default_host/sap/public/bsp/sap/public

/default_host/sap/public/bsp/sap/system
/default_host/sap/public/bsp/sap/htmlb
But when I am testing any of the services I am getting an Error message "ICMAN not ACTIVE" in SICF.
This happens even after /default_host/sap/public/icman is activated using context menu 'Activate service'.
Please guide me in this.

Hi,
As others have suggested, activate the DATA SOURCE and also try to view data in your flat file . you can find this option in the last tab in the data source. if your souce is active , it will allow you to see the data, this way also you can confirm is its active or not.
You mentioend that you have activated the source system, not a data source...
Try again activating the data source, it should solve your problem.
