hi.. i have iphone 4, my sim card is working in my country, recieving at my Apple ID email and my phone number.. working finee
then i traveled to another country and now there is no service.. and no carrier is allowed.. donno why..
so im using my imessage which is working while roaming to my phone number and my email...
but my mistake i turned it off.. and now its waiting for activation..
im afraid that it needs my sims signal to work and recieve at my phone number..
coz until now its verifying BUT NO SERVICE.. and i reeeeeeally need my imessage..
what to doooooooo??
it has been for hours.. WAITING FOR ACTIVATION and VERIFYING my phone number.. NOTE:- no service, signal and CANT FIX IT...

Ifit has hours trying to activate the iMessage, restart your iPhone, see... Use the Home button with the Sleep button, press both at the same time and keep doing it, the screen will turn off, but you have to keep doing it until the "Apple" appears again in the screen, if that doesn't work then just turn it off and turn it on again as you should usually do it.
Good Luck

  • 100% IOS7 Fix for (IMessage Waiting for Activation)

    Hi there,
I believe i have found the fix regarding the IOS7 IMessage Waiting for activation issue.
So far i have advised a few friends and everyone of them has said it has fixed the problem
Follow the below, as i would be keen to find out if this works for you all:
    Go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive,
    Deselect all email addresses.
Go back one screen and turn off "IMessages"
Go back another screen and select the "Face Time" settings
Deselect all email addresses and turn off facetime.
Wait 5 minutes, turn on Imessages ensuring no email addresses are selected
It should then have your mobile number ticked, and IMessages will now be working
Do the same for facetime and you are done
    Hope this helps :-)

    backup the device with itunes.
Restore the device with itunes and set up as new.
Sign into the facetime and imessage to activate it.
After that is done and activation is good.
    Restore from the backup.
Then make sure to sign into facetime and imessage again and you should be good to go

I recently looked at this question with a customer who has been running 8.2 and needs to get some features in newer code. We decided that it made more sense to go to 8.4 than to 8.3.

I am soooo disappointed with the apple customer service at the local store in Tampa......every time they give u an appointment and make people wait for hours......there was some cosmetic problems with the screen of my Mac book pro....they replaced it but the computer would not turn on....and btw when I went to pick up my computer the representative handover my computer to another guy without checking his id who was there to pick up his phone.......then I had to take it back second time this time they messed up my iWork...I took it back but they couldn't retrieve my history of purchase of iWork...and then when I installed the iWork at home...none of the applications is working.... .I will have to take is back fourth time.....I loved apple products but may be not anymore.......

Other than what Shotist007's remarks (which solves nothing) your experience is not common. First I would speak to the store manager to get things rectified for you. If that doesn't work out then I would contact AppleCare and speak to a customer service representative and complain via that venue.

  • Emails arrive fast on my iPhone and my iPad but I have to wait for hours on my iMac ?

Why do new emails arrive fast on my iPhone and my iPad but I have to wait for hours on my iMac ?

They don't... and there are emails I only get on my iPhone 5, later on on my iPad and they don't arrive on my iMac... at all, NOT GOOD.

  • IMessage waiting for activation. Phone number not listed in Send and Receive at?

I'm going to try to be as descriptive as possible, as I'm not too sure what else I can possibly do to resolve this issue.
3 or 4 days ago I requested a number change through my provider. Not knowing that I had to turn off iMessage whilst waiting for the change to occur, I left it on.
Later that day my friends were complaining that I was sending them texts from two different numbers, one being my new number, one being my old number. The thing is, I'm using the exact same SIM card and it's a little unusual to have two numbers for one SIM. I then realised that iMessage is ONLY registering my iTunes e-mail address and OLD phone number as an option to 'Send and Receive at'. I have spoken to Optus (my provider in Aust.) and Apple, I have gone into an Apple store, had the phone replaced, restored newtwork settings, restored phone altogether, turned on/off iMessage and Facetime, checked date and time, made sure my correct number is listed in Settings > Phone, etc etc etc I've done EVERYTHING listed in all forums that I've read from people experiencing this same issue.
I can choose to select my old phone number in iMessage, and can then send messages to others using iMessage from the old number, and if I switch it off, I'm then using SMS to send messages, and it's from my new number again! It's very frustrating not having all features on my phone working correctly.
If I switch iMessages and Facetime on, not using my Apple ID to sign in, it simply says 'waiting for activation' and after a few hours, tells me it was unsucessful and to try again. I'm all out of options now, Optus don't know what to do, Apple don't know what to do and I don't know what else to do! It's been 4 days! Someone please help!?

Just thought I'd let everybody know how it finally got resolved 1 week later!
After trying absolutely everything, and I mean EVERYTHING that Apple support, apple forums etc told me to do, the only thing that worked was turning iMessage off, waiting for at least 24 hours at then turning iMessage back on.
It activated itself within a few minutes, no dramas at all!
    Hope this helps!

  • Imessage waiting for activation - tried everything

Yesterday my iMessage turned itself off and whenever I've tried to turn it back on it's been stuck on 'waiting for activation'. I have tried every single 'solution' I could find including restoring the phone to factory settings and everything Apple recommend but absolutely nothing is working!
This is extremely frustrating as I need iMessage to communicate with a lot of people!

The following gives instructions for that error message, including to contact Apple support if you've tried all of the steps shown and waited 24 hours: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4268

  • IMessage "Waiting for activation" after password change

Last night, I changed my password of my apple ID since I was constatly receiving emails for password change when I didn't do anything. Now, for some reason, I already wrote my new password on the iTunes and even got a new app but the iMessage doesnt activate and stays "Waiting for activation..." for hours.
    Any suggestions?

iMessage activation can take up to 24 hours.

  • IMessage waiting for activation: could not sign in. Please check your network connection and try again

My iphone 5 randomly began restarting regularly. Since when it has been on my iMessage is unavalibale, when I go on the settings it says waiting for activation when I try to activate with my apple id it says 'could not sign in. Please check your network settings an try again' this is also happening with face time how can I fix this?

Try backing up then restoring your device on iTunes via your computer, a few other with the same issue have done this and it has fixed the problem for them so it might be worth a shot :)

  • IMessage: waiting for activation/activation unsucessful

I've recently switched from beta to iOS 7.0.2 and since I've upgraded, my iMessage has stopped working. I've logged in to my apple account receiving the error "Could not sign in" othertimes I'm able to login but my number isn't checked, just my email. Othertimes it's just stuck on "Waiting for activation..."
Solutions I've tried to no avail:
    Restarting my phone
    Resetting my network settings
Restoring my phone and restoring to an older backup

    Bump.
Was working on my iPhone 4. As soon as I got a 4S, it has been unsuccessful
Not just that but I'm having loads of problems with iCloud. Stuff you don't want syncd gets syncd and the stuff you don't usually does.
    Very disappointing.

  • How I fixed "imessage waiting for activation"

    Hi people.
I recently was having that problem with my iphone saying "waiting for activation." All i did to fix it was re enter my appl ID when i switched i message on. This solved the problem immediatley. Give it a try?

For others...  Back up, Erase all content and settings, Restore iPhone (downloads fresh iOS), restore from backup.  Should fix.  You will not lose texts, etc.

  • IMessage waiting for activation...activating for the first time

I just bought my first iphone yesterday...I am trying to activate my message but all it says is that it is waiting for activation...could you please help me?

  • How long does it take to migrate mail data from snow leopard to lion. Waiting for hours

OK, so here I thought I was solving a calendar sync problem by updating my OS from 10.6.8 to 10.7.3. Initially unable to load the mail app, however this seemed to work after taking out the "envelope index" file as suggested in this forum. New mail program loaded, but now stuck with rolling blue and white candy bar on a window inside the "Mail Upgrade" window stating "migrating data ...".Thinking I might simply have a lot of data I waited 5 (!!) hours,... No change. I went back to Finder and once again removed the envelope index file as well as all files with a .plist extension. Again started mail, again stuck with the screen "migrating data". So my question: Do I just have to wait (and then for how long? Days?), or do I have to tweek my MacBook Pro a little to be able to once again read and write e-mail?
    Thanks

12 hours and did not finish. Still left with the message: migrating data. I cannot imagine what the program is doing.
So I force quit mail and cleaned up everything I know to clean up: went to folder "~/library/Mail" and deleted everything I thought was not needed. Emptied the trash. Now, of course, I have a fair amount of mails in different folders that are stored in the mail program. But from a total data amount point of view this should be trivial.
Restarted mail, get the screen: "Mail Message Import", click "Continue"
Then program successfully imports 4563 messages in less than 2 minutes.
Then - once again - rotating candy bar with message "migrating data ..."
There is no way to see what is actually happening and no way to stop the process other than force quit.
    Help!!!
